  1. ya, i think a smart home idea is very good. it gives a lot of convenience to me but of course there are some cons as well. i will talk about all of it in time. this weekend might be time to update loh.
  2. my 1 bunny take up the whole living room + kitchen.... i close the door to my bedrooms or else, she will conquer them too. they do take up a lot of space loh. hahahaha..... the smart home@bk t-blog? i haven't update that is why not easy to find, is it? hmmm.......
  3. can you find my t-blog? this is the original. the new one haven't update yet. need time to go and update leh..... give me some time to do it lah. been busy doing a lot of things. hahahaha.....
  4. buying curtains on taobao is really a great feat..... especially won't know the quality and whether it will come in correct measurement. but its great that you manage to do it and looks so wonderful!!!
  5. super cute leh... i also have a bunny now. mine is all white.... don't dare to get too many cos my place not as big as yours loh. hahahaha.... but they are all super cute.
  6. ok ok.... i will try, ok?? hahahaha...... so good..... sound very exciting. so what is happening these few years? your bunny still well?
  7. ya ya.... i am trying to update lah but need time to take photos to update. hahahahaa... a bit lazy like i said cos only update a few things only. yishun not really that north.... good location. why not try EC if not condo.... cos no point buying another HDB when your current already so big leh.... hahahaha.....
  8. its not that i am still active.... just that recently i have some minor reno to my flat. 1) Install smart home system so that i can control all the lightings, aircon, fans, and even tv using my smart phone. if i want to, i can do it for all power points so i can on my rice cooker, stove etc with it. but i only did it for my living and bedroom so nothing done for kitchen. 2) Install a new bedhead which previously not enough budget so use partition board to cover up all the aircon piping.... now changed it to proper cabinet with storage area..... so wanted to put here on renotalk. but i guess too little to talk abt... i wish i can also sell my flat and buy new so can talk abt reno again.
  9. staying in mcnair road, at boon keng mrt area..... i seen almost 15 units in hougang area, mostly near to IMH area but none was suitable for me. most of it have no view and the layout is not very ideal for what i wanted to do. you can read my T-blog i think the pictures are mostly not viewable anymore. i don't have much furniture to match as most of my furniture are built in...... so i don't need to worry much abt buying moveable stuff......
  10. your seller very accomodating..... i also managed to get my seller to let my contractor to do measurement before the final quote as without actual measurement, there are things that might not be seen on plan. After seeing the actual unit, then can decide what else to add or remove. i really miss the reno period.... was fun even though was busy..... if ask me whether there are anything i want to change after living for 6 years, i am glad to say that i have nothing that i want to change, except i wish i have a bigger kitchen. hahahahaha.......
  11. Congrats!!! i am like you, single but when i bought my place, there was no option for buying 2 room BTO. so my choice was either condo or resale. my 1st choice was hougang as the flats there are slightly cheaper.... but in the end, for convenience sake, i have chosen the one i am now. stayed for 6 years already........ hehehehe.... Happy you found a unit you like and make it into such a beautiful home
  12. from your windows, can see my unit......
  13. its been 6 years for me..... hahahaha..... you bought another new flat or condo?
  14. i like the kitchen.... i can just imagine outside are snowing......
  15. sorry to all that wanted andrew's contact. i didn't come in here for a long time but recently, i needed to do smart home so here i am again. those that want Andrew's info, please pm me instead. thanks
  16. nice design... are you staying alone?
  17. for those that have never read my first reno-blog, can read it here:
  18. dear all..... its great to be back in renotalk. i seldom come in to this site after a year of finishing my renovation to my 4room flat. what makes me be in this forum again? because my contractor has recommended me a new system to make my home a smart home. i will be able to control all my electrical items using my iphone apps. stay tune for further updates!!!
  19. i have been staying at my place for 4.5 years and nothing broken yet..... i would say that designer guys are definitely a good choice. i know of some friends where they place is slowly becoming apart even though they might live in it shorter time than me. so good quality is very important for renovation. i haven't been to this site for years and just came to have a look on what is happening. hahaha... kay poh.....
  20. congrats in buying your own place!! even though 3 room, a lot of ppl also envious lah... not sure abt question 1 as mine already sitting. 2) Not necessary but better do it if the flat is old or have not done rewiring for the past 10 years. this is to avoid any short circuit and cause fire. you need to do repainting?
  21. real wood planks is not cheap...... that is why there are all sorts that came up.... all the best to choosing your contractor.
  22. the work needed to cut exactly 2 pieces of same size is not easy, cos its tiles, not paper. the skill must be quite good. So far, i think only Andrew have managed to get this done for his projects. I have not seen anyone else have the same here on renotalk (unless i missed out some pictures by others).
