  1. Hi All, Happy new year! I want to share a contact with everybody as my first good deed for the new year. If anyone reading in this thread needs a curtain makeover or is looking to furnish your new place with curtains, please consider engaging Mr. Tien. I met Mr. Tien some time ago from the curtain company whom I engaged to do my curtains; but somehow, he was forced to leave the company. Lets just say that from my experience, the company is lousy and has a rather nasty boss - I don't want to elaborate more. Anyway, Mr. Tien was the one who helped me solved all the problems. During our many meetings, we had several casual chats and I came to know that his father's health is in a bad shape, his wife's a housewife and his children are still schooling, simply put - life's really harsh for him. For the record, I didn't caused him to lose his job. He called me very recently to inform me that he left his position and hope that I can refer him to my friends thus I decided to help him write some recommendation here to support him. 2 reasons: 1) I personally find him very professional, experience, sincere and responsible. 2) He has to put food on the table and take care of his dad's medical bills. So if you guys need any non-obligation quotes or require any assistance pertaining to curtains, you call contact him at 90606691. Hopefully my post can help him somehow. Good luck to him and everyone else!
  2. Just to share, my friend recently brought me to Breakthru Mission at Pasir Panjang area to see wooden furniture. I think they have decent balinese wooden furniture. Some are quite exotic and modern. Perhaps you guys can check it out too!
  3. May I request someone who best know the case share the names of the sales people involved in this situation such that we consumers can be wary or avoid buying from these people in case they hop to other companies and started cheating us again!
  4. I finally went to this store called Smootree selling space saving furniture. Apparently all their products are imported and freaking awesome. Pricey though, but for the quality and the awesomeness, i guess that's what I have to pay. I'm still having a hard time considering their wall beds for my new place. Struggling between expensive but very beautiful Vs cheap but not so beautiful... If you guys are interested as well, can visit: 2 Boon Leat Terrace Harbourside Building 2 #01-03 Singapore 119844 www.smootree.sg
  5. Hi Walkingdead, I did a few research myself. Honestly, I think those genuinely made from solid teak will definitely burn a hole in your pocket. The regular items ranging from a few hundred to $2k+ are mostly veneers or even laminates. Not sure true or not, a friend told me teak is expensive because teak tree has to grow for a certain years before it can be cut down. Teak is very strong and durable, thus difficult to work with hence escalate the price as well. So if you really find solid teak furniture at a very decent price, please share.
  6. Wow, so sorry to hear such horrible experience you guys had... Although I think the chances of getting anything back is slim, I wish you guys good luck... Anyway, just to share a bit of furniture buying experiences that I had plus advise from friends who work in this industry; a decent set of 2 seater sofa genuinely made in Italy will cost at least $6000. Thus, its quite safe to say that you must be wary when someone's selling you a sofa from Italy for less... Good luck all...
  7. wow thanks for sharing.... I've been looking for space saving furniture for quite some time already!
