  1. We feel its a 'extra-mile' service. Somemore the hinges we using is Blum hinges. Hinges are cheap, not the whole Blum system lah... I guess I will jus ask for extra 2 pcs to keep. Won't bear to chop him for too many hinges. kekez.. Will be using LPG, i feel its cheaper. Or rather we still old fashion, din use city gas so din wanna try?! haha... Im using LPG, and ID will install pull out tray to make the removal/changing of cylinders easier. Ya, we are ahead of schedule, but its not a rush job. Can slowly check defects and rectify... since we can only move by July.
  2. Oh, thats great. The hinges are already 'protected' So far, has the problem came back again?
  3. Then perhaps it has only weather to blame? Btw, I think applying a thin layer of oil to those metal hinges will help to prevent corrosion too? Baby oil can do the trick le... better dun put cooking oil... kitchen is hazard area.
  4. Yes, he is nice. No major complain about him. Dunno does that means corrode, its more of change color... to dark tone. Or maybe he wanto inform us in advance so as to avoid misunderstandings in future... that we blame and curse him when those hinges start to darkened in color. He said he will give me spare hinges if I wish to keep a few in stock.
  5. LPG = liquefied petroleum gas the cylinder gas Are u using LPG?
  6. ID told me the hinge of the cabinets u put LPG will be the 1st one to rust or change color. Thats bcos of the LPG gas enviroment in the cabinet.
  7. U can get more information here: http://www.blum.com/sg/en/01/index.php They have many systems. Latte, have u sign up with Contractor? Jessi, congrats to ur completion of renovation (soon!)
  8. !! Mine is cheaper. Less than $1.3K !!
  9. initially we are having beige pvc cushion sette too. but ID told us the cons of having that, thou he can give it to us for free... especially men who might hav sharp thing or rough things on the back of their pants, and oso higher tendancy to have stains easily... the whole cushion will be stick to the sette so cant replaced it unless u change the whole thing. after considering all those cons, we opted for matt laminates. jessi, u can consider to wrap the sette with protective film... those transparent film u used for micrewave. to prevent dirty it again during renovation or house moving.
  10. yes yes, those colors. initially when i placed the order, only have silver color.. so glad that i went back to enquire, then they said those got more colors. ya, actually is Mr Limau who fell so much in love with the black lights! for me, im not so hard-core lah... haha... i saw ur light pic in ur blog le... how many PLC downlights u bought?
  11. Really? Was told it's new stock, black lights in fashion currently... dunno lah, did not pay attention to whether the lights are in current fashion onot... just thot we like black frame lights, kind of special... and it will not 'darken' the light effect.
  12. Window for service balcony us up today: From this:- To this: Went to Ch*lsea L*ghtings to pay the rest of the bill, delivery will be this Sat. More stocks coming in TWO WEEKS later!! Haiz, can't make it to see the new stocks le. Very very disappointed. But there are some things that make us happy a little For those aluminium frame lights, they came in more colors. Gotten these: => Square aluminium black frame double tube for MBR toilet (forgot to take pic) Forgot to take this pic the last time. Just updates. => Doorbell (just those Ding Dong sound only. Hate song chimes kind, by the time i run to the door, its still buzzing away! haha) Aunty B**ty is very nice lady. Don't give u black face if u are just there to looksy looksy, change item or wanto try this light try that light. We upgraded one light but downgraded two lights. She gave us Doorbell for free, what a pleasant surprise!!
  13. i dun have any top view. this website gave some info on the Triangle Rule: http://www.kitchens.com/01-Kitchen-Design/...rk-triangle.asp Our kitchen is not very big, hence i believe our L-shape kitchen passed the Triangle Rule
  14. yes, im aware of that. my kitchen got form the triangle rule right? no?
  15. Do u guys think there is no 'continuity' if i only add handles on the pull-out drawers only? which is those on the right of the kitchen cabinets... some designers said its either all handle-less or all install handles. what u think?
  16. Hi Kenura May I know where did u get your Pioneer Home Theatre System? Rgds Allo
  17. Thanks lurgee. Maybe the base color is white for our new flat, thats y the Shades of White becoming not so white? haha... dunno lah. Oh well, don't know is this a good news onot? ID said we can change the paints and now we are topping up a little for Nippon 3-in-1 Medifresh range. Elders have been asking us to go for better paints so that next time can 'wash' the wall. Initially we thought aiya, basic paint will do lah, but after thinking awhile, hmmm maybe they are right? Feel bad to put my ID on the spot. End up we chose White for the walls, no more adventurous spirit to 'try' other colors. As we are going for Modern Theme for the house, and most of the stuffs are Black, White, Red, Grey mah, so pastel color are definitely are out.
  18. Thank you..... A little hiccup for our painting job. Yesterday is the 1st day of paint work. Went back to house to take a look today. The effect of the color we have chosen is not what we expected to be. Under Shades Of White, their Iris White has a very blue tone during the daytime(when we were there just now), though its only the 1st coat... cant imagine how dark the color will be after 2-3 coats. Rush home to take the paint catalogs to double confirmed that it's not our ID's mistake. Quite disappointed with what we have seen, cos the effect is not what we want, but that's the decision we have already made. At night, Mr Limau decided to try our luck. We called our ID to feedback our concern. Much to our relieve, our ID willing to help us to TRY to exchange the unopen cans of paints for the colors we want. Thank goodness, hope tomorrow our ID will bring us good news.
