Hi, Very nice reno and warm feeling to the place. Great stuff. Cheers
-
Thanks for the info. It sure looks great Btw, does the wall decoration behind the bedhead part of the accessories? How much would that cost?
-
Very nice renovated place you got there Wen & Min. Well done!

Hi fteocs, Great HT you will have with those combinations Excellent & expensive choice of AVR you chosen. Tough decision between Denon & Onkyo 905 (with Reon & THX-Utra features) if i have a choice. Definitely look department goes to Denon with its rounder look. Epson TW-1000 is a great PJ. I was going to get one of those a few months ago. You might want to consider also the newer PJ like Optoma HD80 and Infocus Full HD 1080p IN81 & IN82 DLP projectors. Fixed screen is a good choice. Any particular brand and screen size (100 inch?)? !!

Latest update of my place is finished plastering & partition boards. Painting will be doing this week so can't wait for the colors to come alive (rather than seeing all white plastering & dust ) Today just bought the following: Can you guess the model?

Very interesting lighting & effects you have there jamez.

I truely believe in your statements. How often you can remember (in details) some really fantastic place or holidays that you been in the past or recently. Nothing beats some really good nice well taken interesting pictures (or HD video ) that you can always admired ...here are some pics My holiday blog. I needed a good camera for the birth of our blessed daughter and the subsequent holiday oversea with her. This is what make me invest (yup i was one of the first to purchase the 5D model when they launch the camera in Santosa) in a good camera.
-
No problem jamez. Hope my advice is more on inspiration than extra cost (on top of your recent reno cost). What i like about good camera pics compares to the normal (average) point & shoot camera is that it bring out the "WOW" in most pics (eg by having sharp detail and/or interesting shot). I again appologized if my statement upset anyone. I have seen some really great photographer pics like the following..... this is what inspire me to achieve that standard. Some of great site i like to view are: ludo website aftab website juzaphoto website northscape website

How about the new Denon 1940 (which suppose to replace the very good Denon 1930 all in one DVD player). Not sure available locally or not. Cheers -
YES.. and good photographer can make a normal ordinaly pic into something unexpected...so like a fresh looking...usually play with perspectives & mood.

Thanks. Yup can be an expensive & time consuming (i.e storing, backup & post processing, etc..) hobby as once you want to have better lens which can cost much much more than the camera body. Must have a real passion and must experiment with various techniques...this is the way to improve. Hi jamez, for beginners, i would suggest a basic SLR camera with kit lens so as to keep the cost down. Canon or Nikon would be a good camera. Please bear in mind that once you start using & collecting respective brand lenses then difficult to change brand in future without lost of $$. Canon 400D would be a nice budget camera...or if you can wait and budget allows then go for the soon to be release higher spec Canon 40D which will be a very good camera and will meet all your future needs. Cheers

Hi xwih, Got lots of very good advices and inputs from all the seniors here...well done We should not let these type of people go around and cheat/misrepresent the innocent and unaware consumers. Too many headline already recently. Just to be on a safe side, you might want to record (hp, tape recorder, etc..) all your conversation from now on (tell him upfront) for any negligent or threat being made. Good luck

Hi applefreak, If it is class '0' then it should state that on the insulation materials. If class 1 then should get some deduction cos the last time i approach B*** T*** they said this is the free upgrade and there was a price difference but forgot how much it was.

Yes agree too that your Mbr bathroon tiles looks very very nice Glad things are moving very nicely for you now

Thanks wtg54 for your comments. Yup it make sense. Hey Eric, You are right and thanks for your input. I also noticed that the chrome is a lot heavier (maybe due to the underlying steel/iron materials) compares to the die cast aluminium type. Most people also said chrome will peel off or tanished and have black color in the long run when exposed to strong heat from halogen light. Got also replied in the Renovation-Electrical Work forum ... here

Many thanks l_club23 & zirhk3355. Agree with your comments. Just not sure which supplier to take. Once offered Die Cast Alum with ballester from Europe (cannot choose which brand) and another supplier offered Die Cast Chrome with ballester (ATCO i believe) made from Australia (which is normally better). Both are offerring Osram tubes. Which is more important do you think in decision process as both price come out to be the same...The die cast materials or ballester/bulb? Thanks again.
