Rectifications to be made on the house:- Kitchen 1) 1 slab of the black backsplash which is suppose to cover up to the hood still not changed 2) Stainless steel bracket is still happily dangling and jutting out at the sink area Service Yard 3) Shelves for the cabinet (to hide the piping) not done yet. I feedback to the ID that I want at least 2 shelves in there, I mean come on, we spent money to do reno not just for aesthetic purpose but also must think about practicality right? With the shelves, I can hide my clothes pegs, and other barang in there. Now only the 'stickies' like brollies and mop are in there.. space not maximized Living Room 4) FS Master took reading again when we moved in and the 2 white half moon shelves were placed wrongly. These are suppose to be our 'Gui Ren' position, so have to move them to the right place. I should think it's not that difficult to do? 5) Dining Light faulty again. This is the second time this has happened. The inner core is made of cloth strips and one of the strips came off, dangling in the air.. I am using masking tape to secure it 1st. What a lousy 700+++ pc of lighting! Bed Rooms 6)The wardrobes look nice but the interiors need some repairs. some of the shelves chipped already, some cut too big (cannot rest evenly), some even cannot move (suppose to be adjustable). Because of this problem, I left those shelves unused. Who knows when they are going to fix it? Don't want them to come and work on a cupboardful of junk stuff. Master Toilet 7) Seriously, the vanity cabinet is eating into the toilet bowl space. When I er use the toilet bowl, I had to sit abit slanted Ah yes, my c-r-a-p is slanted also hahahaha I thought about having this (not that c-r-a-p la, but the size of the cabinet) and decided I would just leave it like this. I can live with this, because I need the cabinet space to house my toiletries. 8) Another thing about the toilet bowl, dunno which expert plastered this.. because the back of the toilet bowl was 'anyhow plaster'.. normally I wouldnt notice, but my floor tiles are black.. so obvious loh... later take a pic and show here.. 9)The shower area seems to have a flooding situation. The water outlet was not built at the correct spot, as a result, water pouring down onto the floor cannot be channel out from the shower area into the drainage near the toilet bowl. I am always standing in a pool of soapy water when I shower.. its such a weird feeling (feels like I am not clean forever!) Store Room 10) Ahhhh the cracking has begun.. after I built this, the ID highlighted to me that cracks will start to surface because it was a newly built storeroom. Water will escape from the concrete and it will take time to have the concrete completely dry. So meanwhile, there will be plenty of crack lines surfacing... ID said they will come do the touch up once the crackings have stopped. Problem is, how would I know? AND... if I contact them after a few mths (or a year i dunno??), would they still honour this? Hmmm better to get this down black and white...

My brother heard from his colleague that we should put some fish in the water feature to prevent mozzie from breeding.. my qtn is.. the water is constantly running and the surface always disturbed.. mozzies can breed meh??

Oh its very strange.. the dates were picked by my shifu and every time it rained.. dong tu, move in (he picked twice on Tues and Sun) .. Today, it started to rain heavily when we reach our house. We went about preparing the oranges, pineapple, huat kueh and stuff, and the rain dwindled a little. We had to bai bai first without shifu because he had to go pick up the monk and when my brother went down to burn the incense. there was no rain. Once he came up, it started to rain again! After the ceremony was over, the rain stopped... ??? So spooky.... My brother made a comment abt raining and shifu said, when the time is right, of course it will rain! Cryptic!

The move was a good one, really exhausted from the night before, still dragged myself up early to go feed my friends' 5 cats, and then got myself locked in her flat.. stupid gate can't pry it open raaaaaaaaaawwwwrrrrr !!! Had to sos her in HK, made the dad come back to open for me ... Move in ceremony completed with shifu and he has brought a Thai Monk to come bless the house for us as well... during the ceremony, we had to chant after him (basically repeat after him in Thai), most parts he chant on his own.. until my mom was nodding off to sleep wahahahahaha I had to nudge her a little.. poor mom not used to sitting on the floor.. pins and needles.. best part was once the prayers was completed, the monk will go around the house and outside to sprinkle holy water and shifu asked my brother to hold the water bowl for the monk.. my brother.. can't get up.. pins and needles too.. like mother like son? hahahahahahaha so I did it instead.... Still some more boxes to unpack, everything is mostly in place, even my 2 kitties are back home. Still quite jittery, but they will settle down soon. I lost my nose today, first the 5 cats in the morning, then then went to fetch my kitties in the evening where there were LOTS and LOTS of cats there, dropped them off at home before heading out to feed my friend's cats again, returned home to tend to my kitties.. fwah.. today really cat fur overload .. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaachhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooo!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we only managed to crawl out of the den past midnight... all that cleaning and prepping.... in addition, to walk 15 mins twice to feed my friend's 5 cats.. my weary bones!! arghhhhhhhhh They have managed to finish 90%, the rest needs fixing and some new work... all in all, I am gonna move in tomorrow!

Curtain Hook got plucked out Literally. Well I told ID to plaster because the drilling to install the hooks made the area very ugly. So both hooks got plucked out. Funny or not? My original msg on defect - its bad england la, but will u misunderstand what i wanted? If there is doubt, should you not check with owner? This is what they have done.. but my hooks dont have rotten teeth, why u plucked them out? So bad of you.. so bad!

Finally the mirror on the dining area is upz... Not bad, but the side of the frame got scratch loh ... why carpenter so free to scratch it? Make me so busy to keep looking and checking for defects. Bad worker! bad! bad! bad!

Went to check out the state of the flat on friday evening.. well what to say? Most of the carpentry completed, but the painter didn't come at all to touch at all, and there are more areas to work on... In the store room, another hole is created. Most of the defects reported earlier were not done. Msg ID, ID replied she was just back from my place (very strange, coz that was the 2nd time we missed her??) If she was there, wouldnt she want to let me know or arrange a time to meet? Doesn't ID update the client anymore on what yet to be done? I had to msg her to find out why the defects werent fixed. Why painter not here. Why this Why that.. d-a-m-n- IT! Some of the carpentry are not done well, the laminates finish (can i call it that) are quite poor, I am expecting these to be rectified... Master Toilet Vanity Cabinet Finish Kitchen Cabinet Finish And then the carpenters got it wrong on which drawers to install locks... Its all very simple ma... all the left side drawers with locks... all the right side drawers without. Come, teacher show you a drawing ok? Teacher's Drawing Ok... now you produce from drawing can? can or not la ? ....... Aiyooooooooo, follow nice drawing also dunno how?
