Is Castilla A Reputable/reliable Brand For Sofas?
venom replied to musingaway's topic in Home Furnishings
THE stitches on the seats are "so call normal" ba. most of the leather sofa i have seen, the stitches are more of the same type. But trust me,if it can last you more 3yrs without tearing, then you have earned it liao. **but of course, must take care of it la. Eg: 1)Dont let children jump on the sofa, 2)Dont use your knee to "support" your whole body weight when you wanna sit down on the sofa(hope you get what i mean)some ppl like to use their knee to press onto the sofa for support before their bum get rested onto the sofa) **This action will kill your sofa in no time, bcoz if the person happened to use his/her knee n "jap" onto the seat(near the stitches area),before sitting down, then the surrounding of the stitches will get expand,so very soon, the threading will become loose,& next, the thread will break & thats it. 3)Use those leather lotions to clean, protect the surface 4)try to keep away from sunlight As for the recliner,it should be responsive.i have tried @ showroom before, just press & the recliner will move front & back le.Unlike what you have mention The recliner mechanism part is indeed rusty. The Base of the recliner portion is also comfirm "very" rusty. I would say its in a unacceptable condition If you have just bought it,then try asking the company what can be done. good luck -

Question On Cash Over Valuation And Agent Fees
venom replied to eric1lyk's topic in Finance and Insurance
bro,you post @ wrong section liao. This section is for buy/sell/Exchange Corner -
extended warranty IMHO is to give oneself peace of mind.(To cover "abit" or "most" of consumer's benefits. Actually for $100-200 isnt much(if you divided it by the period of time) **Provided you fully understand what every details of the warranty covered. Eg:the warranty might cover screen "blackout defect".BUT you need to pay transport fee of say..$50 per trip. That's only some of the "little" terms & conditions apply in some of the warranty.

No la, ppl paste inside one. (if paste outside, cant tahan the nature environment.eg;rain) Have to see what type of pattern you got on your window. If the pattern is protruding out alot on surface ,then will got problem for the solar film to stick onto the window itself. If pattern is only slightly protruding out(like 3D effect),then might be able to. **still, have to depend on installer's skill Prices are depend on the sizes of your windows. (they have to come on site to take measurement then can quote you exact price) (also, prices depend on the grade of solar film u want)

g-market is a online market.something like ebay

rough guide ard 10k - 12k. Mainly depend on what you really have in mind & factors like eg:quality, design, etc. All these factors will add onto your budget. **& dont forget about all those "little things" that you might wanna add-on along the way. happy renovation

white light are normally use for daily use.eg:cooking, eating & all those normal stuffs. yellow lights are more uses to create the mood, character, quality, tone, atmosphere, etc ...in a particular corner of a house/where you wan to laze & relax in.more cozy feel
-
the ones u shown from IKEA are made of compressed woods. Although cheap but not durable in long run.Not ideal for heavy duty use.

nice.. so wat skill you use? Care to share with others,so @ least they can learn abit from you. btw, didnt the boss "choot pattern" with you?

How Often Does Your Id/contractor Go On-Site During Renovations?
venom replied to schiz0id's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
dont think they will go down everyday la. They also have some other projects on hands to follow up. Unless they got project nearby your house they might drop by for a short look-out for you nia. Normally its like 1)when you got things delivered to your new hse for installation, the ID will drop by to countercheck the items for you(In case you are not free) 2)when you make ur rounds of inspection & found something not right & give ID a call, then they will cum over to settle. 3)when its the first day of "major" works(that require the ID to talk to the contractors abt layout of wiring stuff, etc)then ID will cum over. Other then these,i think normally ard 2 times-3 times per week is their normal procedure ba. -
tats a good one..i also like the idea.

Anyone Knows Where To Get My Clock Fix?
venom replied to CinnamoR's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Should have post the picture of your clock for ppl to see, then we'll have a beta understanding. Have you try buying those(mechanism small black box thing found behind normal clock) & replaced. -
ID save you all the hassle & sh*t that you will come across all the way while doing ur reno. (Unless you belong to the type of ppl that have strong coordinating skills, then its beta to pay abit more & get a ID) If anything cock-up,done not to your expectation etc,u can just get your ID to settle. If no ID can you imagine you have to get the wiring guy, painting guy, furniture guy, etc & chase @ them. These extra chores can reli make your blood pressure shot real high up.

your budget can get decent sofa and dinning set. nearly everyware is the same.(theres always black "sheeps"(or even worse - "wolves" around) **Just take note & learn to protect urself. NEVER "give in" to pressure from their sales ppl to pay in full amount upfront. Get the staffs to write down everything in black n white on your receipt. In most furniture shops,if you are taking more then 1 big item from them, usually you are able ask for beta prices compare to just taking a small item. (above is just to share my humble experience) Shopping for furniture for our own house is suppose to be a joyful & happy thing to be share among our family members,so dun stress out too much.Use your 5 senses to guide youself.
