haa... I bought the round 23" sink and inside is brushed finish. I like it alot cos I don't have to worry about scratches to shiny metal after frequent use. just my take. I think paint peel abit below ok la... as long as not the missing pad. bit pain peel wont affect the sound dampening effect because the sink is made of quite thick metal!

Hey, our reno is finishing soon by end of the month hopefully. So drop by to take a look at it yourself if you are here and the contractor is working. Not a problem at all. Which block you staying at?

Today when I visited our place in the afternoon, I was greeted by these Finally they started to install the sliding door and toilet screen doors. When they were installing the kitchen door, and drilling the guide to the floor, my heart skipped cos they cracked the edge of the tiles. Only a small bit can be visible after the guide is in placed but I still feel it is an eye sore. Messaged my contractor and told him to do something about it. One thing we find it weird is why the rail need to extend out so much beyond the length of the door after it is opened. We also informed the contractor that we wanted the door to slide and flush with the wall when opened. This is to get the full width opening of the kitchen and to avoid slamming onto the door accidentally. Only managed to capture the photos of our common toilet. Will post more photos next time of the master toilet after the ceiling lights are up.

I can understand how you feel when you see such workmanship. I also faced the same thing sometimes and really have the urge to say, give me your tools I do it!

My carpenter do the cut out on site. I only bring my sink to my place and left it there. But I did tell them my sink size so they can cater for it when doing the cabinets. As for hood/hob/oven, I gave them the catalog the ones I bought so they can built to fit them. I think we use the default shipping. It is quite fast via DHL.

I got a Kraus faucet.

If you got space to have longer sink, I encourage you to get it!

to me, it is something I can live with. I would love to have a bigger sink but space constrain so got smaller one.

when I was buying my sink, I was thinking to get 23 or larger. after thinking very long and the need for some working top space due to our small kitchen, decided to go for 23. some may argue, just another 7inches only. But our kitchen really small. Best to have a gap of say 400 - 600mm distance between sink and hob for working space. You may want to transfer some food from sink to the counter top before bringing them to the stove for cooking.

I also got this 10kg washing machine before cny at staff price. more than half price! bought it even before we got our keys! can't wait to try it out soon since reno completing soon!

time for me to post some photos of my installed sink! ss grid in the sink Our solid surface extends out by almost 1cm and there is still plenty of room to move the grid in and out.

To me, my optimum is to have my tap outlet slightly backward from the middle of the sink. Tap outlet in the middle i prefer to have it taller in order to maneuver big pots into the sink. Usually no issues for any taps. It's up to your preferences. To me i like tall taps cos i can move my pots in and out easier. I haven't mount my round sink to the solid surface yet but you can Google the image or visit Kraus website for a feel. Speaking of feel, it's best to go to showroom in, i.e.IMM to have a feel of the tap you prefer. of course, you should not choose a toilet tap to use for your kitchen tap la..

I believe any tap to your liking will do.

If yyou want the basket strainer just get that one will do. The normal strainer is not necessary. Some sinks comes with a basket strainer some just normal ones.do check the description before you purchase
-
Actually it's a personal preference. I had been using basket strainer at my current home for more than 10 years and find it very useful. Trapping food waste at the same time allowing water to drain away without choking it and having to clear it in the middle of a wash. Only pity about this model is very much smaller than the one i am using now.but i can make do with it. Enjoy your purchase! Cheers

I bought this sink 23" round sink However, it does not comes with basket strainer. comes with normal one. So I bought the basket strainer separately.
