  1. don't bother with expo or exhibition sales.....I have been to a lot and i realized that most of these 'deals' does not really save you a lot.....I have also noticed quite a number of 'complained' companies that frequent these expo sales are lot...ironically, not many of the stronger brands take part in it.... frankly it might be worth paying visits to the shops directly as i believe they are less incline to 'force' you to buy....
  2. i got it from deal extreme.com .....QC bad, and I think the timing during holiday session usually quite bad.... but the price that you get at, i can afford to have 50% spoilt and still way cheaper then shops.....
  3. best time to get ikea furniture is moving house that time....the movers will normally have to dismental your existing furniture when you move...so at the end destination, just ask them nicely to fix one or 2 items that you have brought for you - then no assembly fees.....
  4. me....1 out of 17 spoilt.....i brought online with shipping and stuff is still very cheap, about US$13 per piece. They do have customer service to allow you to ship back.....but at this price, it's not worth... The problem of buying from china is that when the shipped to you, quality might be different in every batch. the packaging is also quite crappy and you can only depends on the technical specs that they listed out. The reason why i purchase oversea instead of here is that the shops around here have limited selection and most of them have not work with the technology enough to know what they are talking about....as a business, if i don't have the know how or source for LED lights, I'll definitely push for something that I have, that is why I find most shop will push their PLC lights and claim that LED is not as bring - cause they might not even have seen those CREE based on in action.... For your info. Lot of shop has various lights components all made in china, for example PLC, ballast, fixure....etc...so unless you know your stuff, you are likely to get a light set from the shop that is something like 70%-80% brand less stuff....only the PLC might be from Philips (if you insist...)
  5. I think it's call Kwan yin....or something like that....anyway there is only 1 glass shop around there.....
  6. I would say very little are cheats la....they are just incompetent .... Most don't know how to treat customer right, adopt business model for short term gain, select the wrong suppliers etc..... Cheats are people who will take the downpayment and run, or show you 1 thing but deliver another...
  7. There is a shop at kalantan lane near sim lim tower. Can't miss it because lots of people use them. Just make sure you stay around and wait for the glass because he tends to forget what he was doing....
  8. Guys, I receive and email says Marquis qsquare have 50% to 70% sales....starts today for 2 days..... Don't know how to attach the promo email here...but they never say need to print out anything... So if you have a little more budget, might be your chance to get a good quality sofa at a great deal.....already gotten mine at the last sale, so wouldn't be there......
  9. Guys, how do I send interlock a pm? Need to ask him if the locks in the group buy satisfy the above requirement
  10. Yeap, kong Ying at kelantan lane......very friendly and cheap....
  11. I think you have to take firmer action then to write in this forum.....sad to say, but I think most people buying sofa will just walk around and at the sight of what they want, buy it. This forumn only have a tiny percentage of people looking for furniture. I recent took a walk in graciousc living fair at expo.....a signifiant portions are occupied by shops having bad reps in this forum, but I can see most of them doing roaring trade....if this forum has made any impact, those shops would have shut down a long time ago...
  12. Hi you sure able that? from what I read, the poster is having some after sales services from Bosch. What I'm seeing is that while they are a little screw up in the after sale tracking department, it does seems that they are trying their best to make good on the warranty. they eventually even shipped the parts by DHL after recognizing the poster's frustration. Not many companies will go up to that extend in serving their customer.....
  13. not neecesaary to source for ID....most of them are contractors anyway, just trying to position themselves as ID..... might want to choose a main con as it will be a lot of hassle to deal with so many contractors and manage the timeline and dependancy....
  14. I would also like to join if there is a biometrics lock that does have a handle and not rim lock kind.....
  15. I think USD$13 each....free shipping some more....but with cheap stuff, I do expect a bit of deflects, even though the supplier will refund those, but due to the price, i let it pass, I have basically 1 faulty out of the 17 units that i have..... yeap, driver is built in to the LED bulb....for CREE lights, most implementation is to overdrive the LED which is what I don't like, you will have to depend a lot on the quality of the heatsink and driver to ensure that it can handle the extra load. The reason why i choose that setup is that with so many LED and the entire setup consuming only 6W, I think they are not overdriving the lights (of course i might be wrong)....so while not achieving 100% of its potential, it's still quite bright and I guess will last longer then a overdriven LED.....
