I am very sad... those ID folks that constantly advertise themselves at Singapore Expo are actually contractor in disguise. Their usual tactic is you provide them your floor plan, they gave you a fixture and lighting layout based on your floor plan and at the same time they will present you a quotation. When come to design, they can only give you standard idea, idea so straight forward that you can find tons of it from the internet and most of these designers cant even hand sketch the design of your kitchen cabinet.

3NG toilet is not small, 3i toilet is really small. You can hack down the wall to extend the toilet, but HDB only allow a maximum of 2 feet (60cm or 600mm) and must only be use as dry area. You can ask HDB if you are allow to reposition the toilet bowl and sink, may need to extend the drainage and waste piping (increase the chances to get choke).

My understanding is 1 Singaporean has 2 chances to get new flat from HDB; if the person that bought the resale flat at rochor, previous has bought 2 new flat from HDB and sold them at profit, when enbloc, they will be paid market rate for the rochor flat but they will not be allocate a new flat, this is further subject to HDB on a case by case basis. If no control then anyone can just buy a flat above 40 years and hope government will enbloc and they can get a new flat, stay MOP and sell off and buy another above 40 years old flat? Do you think our government is so stupid?

Sorry RedStar, are you sure you are doing a contra sale? The reason for asking is that from my understanding, the 1st appointment in a contra sale, all parties will meet on same date and time at HDB. There is no need for a 3 weeks period for CPF money to release back into your CPF account, the HDB will act on your behalf and liaise directly with CPF. Contra means you sell your unit and buy next unit paying full in 1 go and HDB will pass back to you a big cheque.

Try walk along the corridor and keep your eyes open looking for any O$P$ graffiti on the wall near lift landing or any wall that look like recently repainted or any gate that look like repainted recently... these are the tell tale sign of loanshark activities in that area. From what i know about CCTV camera installed at corridor requires a permit from town council or HDB and this type of permit cannot be renew yearly and is usually for a short term like 3, 6 months. Unless the authorities have changed their policy of this permit or the owner forgot to remove when their permit expire. I rather not buy unit with loanshark problem, i dont wish my family gets frightened or harassed when i'm at work or your door gets colorfully redecorated without your permission.

So i call this situation LPPL, you agree? Lighting quality of LED is rather artificial, not as natural as incan/halogen. Compare energy saving, can you find me a single 24w LED bulb that can produce 125w of brightness? Compare the selling price between a 12w LED bulb and a 12w Philips Tornado Spiral? Compare lifespan between 12w LED bulb with it driver and a 12w Tornado Spiral? This comparison greatly depend on your luck.

Did the government actually say that? Can someone confirm? I saw the payout rate, it should be based on valuation only. Those residents asking for higher payout because they regret they did not sell their flat before the announcement. In the other hand, i really pity those that bought that few blocks, paid dearly for renovation and not eligible to get allocated to new flat due to enbloc.
