find a fren who knows how to paint and buy him KOPI...sit down and ask him to teach you the steps, the stuffs to get. or else your DIY painting will turn out becoming DIY GRAFFITI

if you are sure they are silicons - use thinner or acetone.
-
got solution - hack away the toilet if it's a landed prop. if it's a hdb, hack all the toilets above and below.
-
worthless even to a garang guni.

it's not recommended.but then as more and more types of house decor keeps coming up - many were not tested. general rule of the thumb for bed is a SOLID concrete wall.
-
only if your fsm learn his so called fs from a dangkee. yes, then everything NEED to be kai guang including your toilet bowl.

T5 do have circular ones but the saving aint much - What i did is ; 1) change the circular ceiling lamp's ballast to e-ballast. 2) buy the philips super colour something - the most expensive circular lamp i remember $6 or $7.(normal ones only $3) with eballast you can read books without any eyesore - cos the lamp no longer flickers. T5 circular comes in 22watts and 40watts but to retrofit a existing circular - only the 40watts size can fit cos 22watts too small.

try to use neutral colours. she is a Yin Fire. so cannot use earth colours. - colours do affect the temper of a person, using neutral colours affect nobody, the safest.

the reasons why a lighting shop's salesperson will keep ranting that electronic ballast are LOUSY. 1) they just want a easy deal, confirm the order and deliver. commisson earned. cos most lighting shops do not have in-house electricians to do the conversion, the salesperson have to do the conversion by themselves which also means EXTRA work but no EXTRA commission. 2) most lightingshops boss do not stock branded e-ballast from philips or osram. they want the maximum profit by stocking only china no brand cheapo ballast. Salesperson not stupid, if they sell it, customers will come back and BANG tables 6 mths* later. I did have one cheapo china brand eballast and it just died last week, approx 8 mths old. not only died but BURNT and trip my entire MCB. 3) Most salesperson are not updated with the latest technology - infact electronic ballast are OLD technology liao. They didnt want to take the risk cos there is really a lot of HEARSAY among those uneducated electricians/salespersons that electronic ballast(china brand) = no good. China brand e-ballast is indeed LOUSY. But hey I am talking about philips/osram e-ballast here. So far I have been to countless lighting shops during my reno and there are only 3 shops that willing to convert to e-ballast. Out of the 3 shops, 2 of them are BOSSes and the other one is a very knowledgeable salesperson(SUPER RARE). The rest just SIAN(bluff) whatever they can about how lousy e-ballast are - without even knowing the real disadvantage/advantages. KNOWN Disadvantage of E-ballast cannot switch ON/OFF too many times within a day. the tubes get blown fast. infeasible if you have old pple in the house. my parents can switch on/off for like 10-20 times a day. Advantages = no flickering, no humming sound, no teng teng teng sound..etc just search google...too many to type here but as long as your MAIN concern is $$$, electronic ballast + T5 lamps this will definitely lower your monthly PUB bills.

use neutral colours like cream white/off white/beige is the best. cos you dont want to enhance the wrong element that is harmful to you.

learn the basics first then you will know what question to ask. no point asking things like N (Water) = 9 3 5 ...etc and not knowing what it is. it's easy to understand if you go step by step to learn it.

go this url and read more first. http://www.kaifook.com.hk/fengshui/b002/2005.htm http://www.kaifook.com.hk/fengshui/b002/2004.htm http://www.kaifook.com.hk/fengshui/b002/2009.htm theres a tip to find out whether a fsm knows flyingstars or not - just ask that magic question(renovation can change period or not) actually it's quite logic - how can a flat with 100 units built in period 6 consists of 30x period 7 houses, 40x period 8 houses and 30x period 6 houses? a building is a building, once built it's takes it shape and Qi unless it's tear down and rebuilt.
-
think you got confused liao. some basics - 1) all the stars 1-9 have both good+bad depending on period, time, place, your type of job..etc 2) any stars behind the current period star(8) are bad = 7,6,5. 3) any stars infront(future) of the current period star(8) are good = 8,9,1 4) combination of stars at different directions either neutralised, enhance or weakens. example = 9 fire fall into EAST(wood) becomes powerful, fall into SE(earth) becomes weak.
-
this is not call learning - this is obsession!!! no need paint until like that lah...
-
for flying stars it's the yearly star that has the most effect, affecting the stars combination of house/direction/period.. Just take them as the lead actors, the rest are just cameos. the real disastrous ones are 2 and 5. 7 although it's no good but it's effects are nothing compare to 2 and 5.
-
buy the plot of land from hdb/ura, then demolish the whole flat. rebuilt in period 8 and you get a period 8 house. those who tells you once reno is considered period 8 - they know nuts about flying star. the period is fixed the moment a building a being built.

hope SKYWOLF read this ahahhahaha

alamak.... i always patronise their branch in toa payoh lor 8, they are more KIASI - always ASK how many watts i want. Anyway, good thing they replace them for free. not much help given lah.... the process shiok right? the T5 even when switch on for 1 whole day - no heat also. if T8 you will feel like sauna. Less Heat, Less Watts = Less $$$ on your PUB bill one thing to take note when using T5, dont suka suka switch on and off frequently. The tubes will burnt out quick - one of the reasons why I didnt change T5 in my mum's house, old pple loves to switch on/off 10-20 times a day.

Ho Bee
MaCe replied to oasis's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
patrick's quotation(paper) always appear to be "MORE EXPENSIVE" than others. But when the reno work starts, those so called contractor/ID that gives a cheaper quotation will start to tell you this one not included, that one included and will end up even more expensive than HOBEE. Hobee's quotation got NO HIDDEN COST thats why many pple think that hobee is expensive. i believe they already changed the electrician.... no problem with patrick if you want to engage your own. He is not the type that wants to earn all your money. -
such "magic" boxes have been around for years. good psychological effect though
