I paid $400 for the false ceiling and additional lighting points (not including the light bulbs). Not sure if is consider reasonable. Impt thing is my contractor is responsible. Good thing is no major hicupps. So when is your reno starting?

Me and my hubby also have sensitive nose.. I guess have to clean often then. Maybe vaccum that area every now and then?? Good thing is, is just a small area. No wonder ppl say "ai sui, mai mia"..

wow! how come need to be so rush? You in hurry to move in?? Sometime i wonder how much does these worker are paid. They seems like working everyday, 7 days a week, work until late nites.

Thanks man. !! All thanks to my contractors, Home Deco magazines, those who given precious advices and people who have reno blogs here. Next will need to settle curtains and furnishing stuffs.. at the same time, busy looking around for banquets.

Must thanks to my contractor also. Initially, just thought of the sliding doors, he pointed out the borders and the side shelving laminates to be changed also. thanks It really brings out something different compare to before. Hmm, i never tot of that sia.. I was thinking putting soft toys.. keke.. shall follow your ideas to put bags and wallets.. hehe.. cost me $400 leh.. This last min idea really makes the whole place much more brighter!!

My display cabinate is for other things.. I got a shoe cabinate left by previous owner. For TV console, yes suppose to be like that becoz my tv will be placed on the wall behind the TV console. At first, we thought that is much smaller, that's y i comment "so big!"

No choice eh.. I want to get better washer and fridge (those energy saving type) and dont want to pay too much. These kind can easily more than $1k, more stickers means more $$..

I totally agree with you.. My wardrobe previously left by previous owner.. there is wooden panel at top part which slightly cover the sliding door. Ah keong removes it, and said that it will look better with the new sliding doors. And it really looks much more better..

This naughty MaCe.. ah keong finish up almost everything today!! He say he very stress ah.. too many things to do.. He also said that he very scare cannot finish the work.. Display cabinate with lights on. Simple Look TV console. Wardrobe. I like this best.. Platfrom.

totally agree!! I bot my fridge, washer and tv at neighbourhood electrical store (hong liang), it saves me $900 plus, that is alot man... Like my washer.. best denki selling $900 plus, close to 1k, and i only bot at $700.

I reskin to black colour to match with my sliding door. Reskin + new sliding door cost $1300.

Went to pop by today again! At last, more things done... Display cabinate. The colour kinda blend it well, did not really crash with shoe cabinate and kitchen cabinates colour. TV console. I didn't expect the TV console to be so big. Reason for custom made because our TV area pretty small, have difficulty to TV console. False Ceiling up!! Tomorrow lightings will be fixed. Wardrobe sliding door gone! Re-skinning in progress (at the border) Here are the new sliding doors.

haha.. something happy.. my hubby told me that carpentry started today, he saw some works.. shall drop by later, after work.. hopefully the materials and colours i choosen does not look that bad... *prayz*
