  1. Wow... You got unblock view from both side... Very nice, and night time will be airy and cooling, no need air-con. By the way, just make sure you don't install your air con compressor or metal grille or anything metal on the side facing the sea. It tend to oxidised faster and rust. This is what happen to my friend's house along marine parade.
  2. Measurement done, confirming the final design and quotation. I'm not very sure if he has started the fabrication in his workshop. I shall finalise all these by today.
  3. Shall heed yours and EMRENO's advice, will negotiate with my mover to give us 1 or 2 weeks more. I have not explore the numeric pad lock, I guess I should be able to find it in DIY shop.
  4. Thanks, I think better not moved in first. Congrats in moving in! We can help to warm up your house! hee hee...
  5. More than enough for the 3 fans, lightings can use credit card. The only problem is storage space, the fan box is quite big. My car boot can only fit one, the other one goes into my back passenger seat.
  6. I heard about the white card but not the msia cash card. Now its very convenient, just hate the jam! Maybe can consider heading there once a month to stock up groceries. My colleague go there quite often, Head to Tesco, polish his car at their carpark, do massage then shopping, collect car, eat seafood then come back.
  7. For Fan and instant heater, its cash term only. For lightings, can use credit card for above $100. We only have enough ringgit for food and petrol, lucky we brought some Sing dollar, there's a money changer nearby. There's also an ATM in the 7-eleven but somehow, our card didnt allow us to draw. By the way, in case you are not aware, we don't need to fill up white card to enter m'sia. But you need msia cash card to pay for custom fee. We didnt had one, but lucky there's a lady walking around at the custom selling it.
  8. I agree with you. I think it will also make unpacking even more difficult with the dust. I shall look at the progress at the end of the month and decide loh. We slated our front door already, so cannot make any more changes. We are also installing digital lock on the wooden door, so if we put metal gate, we will get numeric pad lock. Making it keyless all the way! Sound a little silly to install lock on the shoe rack, and very troublesoom. But we are seriously looking for the best solution, if not, then back to normal metal gate loh.
  9. We got this instant heater from JB as a replacement for my in law house. I am impressed by the power the pump can produce. The pressure it create is as good as having a water tank installed! Very shiok! Worth the additional RM$100 for the pump version. Seems like those sold in S'pore doesn't comes with the pump version, I wonder why? Now I hope my Princeton can match up. Ordinary looking heater but with powerful pressure
  10. 7% on the amount above the waiver. Just give them the receipt and they will calculate for you.
  11. Congrats on your new home! You are a inspiration to me, I shall wait for my current place to go up to $1mil then I can upgrade again. I'm dreaming!! It is my dream comes true if I have a floor all by myself! Looking forward to your transformation!
  12. Yes have to. Each person is allow up to S$150 within 48 hours. Anything more than that have to pay tax. Go to the declare zone, pay and go! I think it's about S$150. It should be very safe if you get KDK, reputable brand!
  13. We are exploring not installing a gate for our access area at our main entrance. Thinking of fencing it instead, either using rod iron or wooden railing. This will definitely open up our entrance! But then, the shoe rack have to put on lock. I can't find any nice fencing idea from the net yet, so still exploring.
  14. I don't think so. When I was there, I overhead another S'porean asking for it, but the salesperson never heard of it. They have lots of KDK fan on display and some designer Amasco fan i think. I think in the end, that person changed his fan and got another brand instead because of the cheap price.
  15. I like their initial ideas but after the final drawing, we realised the main door and gate design and the main colour scheme are all the same as yours. I'm not so keen to duplicating other people's design. And since we started with slated design, then we should be consistent for the rest of it. Seems like they are not so accommodating to our change request, especially on the material used. They get really upset and offended when we decide on bi-fold door for my toilet and tic tat door for my storeroom. Anyway, HK is not the one doing our reno.
  16. Got all the stuff at Tampoi Lighting and Starworld Lighting, all are along at Jln Titiwangsa 3. This place is very popular among S'porean as you can find their shop name splashed over Renotalk. It is really worth the effort to head over there if you have lots of lighting to buy. They even have a Philips showroom for all your LED stuff. Preferable to go during weekday to avoid the jam!
  17. Thanks will check out lightcraft. Expected completion date s alteady an unknown Our stuff is in the warehouse for 2mths by end of this mth, so thinking of moving in the stuff 1st if not we will have to incur another mth of rental. We have our children's room empty but space may not be enough.
  18. Anyone know where I can get motion sensor ceiling light? I'm thinking of fixing one at our foyer. I was thinking to to light up the foyer when we come home and the swich is inside the house! So motion sensor should solve this problem right?? Also thinking whether will it detect people walking along the corridor??
  19. May i ask is it very troublesome or messy to move in ur stuff before carpentary? I think we have to do that too. Ur 2nd floor toilet also can see thru one?
  20. My contractor suggested iquartz to me too, it is because theirs is in 15mm so can they can bring down the cost. We even went down to their factory at senoko to take a look. The price range from $100 - $150 depending on color. Their color selection is very limited, i have the sample if anyone wants one. We almost go for it since all of you recommeded quartz surface, but my SO is quite bother by the joint line (we need 2pieces for our island), so in the end we keep to solid surface. And they dont have the white that we wanted.
  21. It will be like pic2 for wash basin. The top standing one is for bath tub!
  22. Exactly! I wanted a design that is unique to us but the IDs came out with 50% similar design/ideas, so we got to put a stop to it!
