It is very unlikely that a decking installer will drilled onto the tiles to fix their deck. If it does, these holes needs to patch up and the whole floor waterproofed. No need to hack the tiles. For waterproofing, you can contact Artco Partner for quote. Decks are typically nail or screwed on, so removing is not as a difficult. Removing of timber deck will cause some damaged. You need to be prepared.

Very common they don't tell you what they will use for the joist or supporting runner for the deck. So you may end having a good surface but poor quality supporting structure. Look into this. Old or new Chengal needs regular vanishing. For old Chengal timber, get a sample and make sure there are no unwanted marking. They are usually resurfaced which makes them slightly thinner than standard. Chengal wood are naturally with tiny holes. For similar price, you may want to look at other composite wood alternative in the market. Good luck!
