  1. yup, direct visa payment via the alipay gateway...now waiting to see exchange rate...
  2. payment by visa on tb very easy, at payment choose 2nd tab then visa: fill in details at next screen: then you will be asked to enter otp by your bank to authorise the transaction, otp is sent via sms to your registered mobile phone...enter otp and if everything is successful, you will get a confirmation that everything is successful and redirected back to the tb page... all done at this point... happy shopping all ! sidenote : this is easier than using my china bank account, which involves using the proprietary bank software + dongle and around 3 rounds of authentication...but is very secure lah.... Note: there is a 3% service charge for using your credit card
  3. no...i juz like to have more than less... i discovered this minus about the record/button coasters i bought - cos they got this shiny layer of i dunno wat underneath (plastic ?), if you place a somewhat hot cup on them, they "transfer" that layer onto the table surface...at least, that's what happened to my little side table - so i'm thinking of replacing them lor... luckily only very slight and can only be seen at certain angles...
  4. i know lah... hee hee... incidentally, kim and i r planning to bring back a shipment back by amcon - 2 carpets and i dunno how many chairs he's ordering ...if there's anyone who's interested in combining with our shipment (i checked, amcon allows us to combine shipments - you can maintain your own excel sheet, we just email them all at one go), please pm me... for your bulky items, there is usually a lead time (e.g. our carpets got lead time of about 4-5 days) so we gotta work backwards to more or less time our orders - for those who are in a hurry, please do not go with us as we're not in a hurry huh... i'm taobao shopping again and here's what i got my eye on - to be brought back by my personal courier Cork coasters, animal designs Cork coasters, in chinese numerals Cheong Swiss Railway Clock
  5. Amcon's minimum charge is 1 cubic m,standard practice for shippers is for whatever in excess of minimum charge is to charge for actual volumetric weight ie if ur total is 1.2 cubic metre, u r charged for1.2 but if you only have 0.9,u still get charged for 1 cubic metre...if u want to be sure, email them …
  6. it's per link, I think I put the details on kim76's tblog...I believe u can pay by visa nowadays...
  7. actually fits just nice, it's just that i oredi have the joseph joseph in the other drawer liow if no seller, could always give it away as a house-warming gift since it's brand new...
  8. it looks like i hv over-estimated my capacity and bought an extra one of Madesmart Expandable Utensil Tray: any taker ? bnib, selling at USD24.99 (~SGD31) - free shipping cost ...
  9. hi mrcontractor, just wondering if it is advised to seal the grouting on my light coloured homogeneous tiled floor ? i think there r products in diy stores to do this... i hv a purely aesthetic concern about maintaining the light coloured grouting on my floors... thx !
  10. i was researching this topic on google and there's a bunch of articles on doing this...i just look around and i realise that it's not commonly done by people around me... does anyone do this ? i hv a purely aesthetic concern about maintaining my light coloured grouting on my floors... i know there r products in diy stores to do this...
  11. unless the shipping service can check it for you (65daigou apparently can do it for you, not sure about amcon), you're pretty much sunk cos it's not worth the $$ to send it back from SG...returns in CN is easy - i've done it b4, most times, the seller would reimburse the shipping charge back to you (usually rmb10, depending on size/weight) and replace it...only happens with the more reputable sellers as well... so this is why i keep stressing the selection of sellers - u want to keep this possibility to a minimum, but be mentally prepared when it happens...
  12. got other colours but from this vendor, other colours need a minimum order of 4...if you pick from the first vendor i saw (you gotta scroll back quite some pages), that one apparently can do one off... there's also the agent fee (8%) + shipping etc...full breakdown here - note that if you have a few more items and do via amcon, it will be cheaper but since at that point in time, kim and i only wanted the chairs, this was cheaper by about $10...
  13. all in, via 65daigou cost $135.23 per stool...height 43cm, top (29 x 33), width of legs 37cm...total weight for both is 16.54kg, volumetric 23.04kg...
  14. the magino stool that kim and i ordered are here ! this was ordered via 65daigou, and i got them to deliver to my place - they send an sms to let you know the approximate time they will be delivering out of the box... unwrapped... incidentally, i'm using it as a bedside table...
  15. ok, i find these cleaners a little gross, especially after you've used it for a while... btw, does anyone know what is a suitable container to store paint ? i want to transfer my leftover paint from those huge cans into something a little more compact
  16. those 3m command hooks really work leh ... nvm, now u have an excuse to go shopping again !
  17. i'm very tempted to get both the green and yellow autumn leaf stopper too ... the colours are exactly as what is shown online so the green is a very fresh green ... -20 degrees - mebbe they were thinking of using it in harbin or something ...
  18. and for the lemon that occurs once in a while, this clock was it... timode clock the packaging was very good (styrofoam etc) but it still arrived slightly cracked, and the needles are loose ! so even though this one has many good reviews etc, i should have paid attention to the couple which actually stated it was no good cos those are typically the actual truthful ones...anyway, was a $12 reminder to really read the comments carefully !
  19. cute button coasters these are the soft silicon types, says can take temperature from -20 to 80 degrees... record coasters slightly bigger than the button ones, each box comes with 2 coasters...also soft silicon but not as cute as the button ones
  20. my orange autumn leaf door stopper i have to say, this door stopper even though it looks delicate, is capable of stopping my heavy fire rated main door at the maximum open angle tissue box matt red, is covered with suede leather (i think) on the inside ... should fit a normal 2 play sheet tissue box, i'm using a 3 ply 100 sheet kleenex box, a little snug...
