  1. oh ya, want to ask all u gurus ... my kitchen cabinets do not feature a handle but havea 45 degree edge for me to open the door...but i want to have a place to hang my kitchen hand towel some where, like using a hook on the door or something ... dun wanna drill holes on the wall for a permanent hook ... problem is, all the hooks i've seen so far seem to be more designed for actual doors (2.5" type) and not narrower doors like cabinet doors, anyone knows of the type that's really designed for cabinet doors ? stainless steel or white is ok ... or should i opt for simple solution aka a clear, see thru 3M command hook ...
  2. mine i bought in china, about sgd300+...free delivery in china and free shipment back to singapore courtesy of my company
  3. the shape is the same but mine has all white buttons etc ... could be older model cos i bought it in 2010 ... i go home and chk model...
  4. only spotted your questions within the coloured box just now... i bought the honeywell because my doc told me to - i've not used the sharp one before so can't really compare... the replacement carbon filter is easy to find and the hepa filter is washable (i think)... can't remember the model number, i will check and let u know but i remember seeing this in the stores a couple of months back but dun remember which store btw, one of ur key selection criteria should be noise level - if it's operating while you sleep, you need it to be quite quiet - i selected this honeywell model as the reviews on jingdong consistently rated it as being one of the most quiet and it's true...very low level hum only, and i'm a fairly light sleeper...
  5. 1) if u can afford it, cat 6 is best from a data throughput perspective. dunno wat's the latest price, best to check in sim lim square. cat 7 is even better but i would say that's really expensive rite now. 2) u gotta get ur electrician to measure, no one knows wat ur layout is like and how far away the points r etc 3) that's up to personal preference and how many walls u r going thru. only matters if u're using wifi primarily. if u r using wired connections primarily, frankly, the ones that the service providers provide are fine. upload is throttled by the service providers and is router independent - u should be more concerned with download speed (go for dual band n routers if u want the absolute fastest but that's for wifi) cable that's offered ? not sure wat u mean ? the physical "cable" that enters your place and laid by opennet is fibre which connects to your termination point. from TP to ONT is again, fibre. from ONT to router is the cat5/6/7 cable. subscription fees are independent of the cable u r using ... u should check out the opennet website for more details on how the whole setup is wired up ...
  6. Most of them, yes, except for the humidifiers (singapore no need, so humid oredi )...the sanyo stainless steel kettle is still going strong (can't find it in singapore), the honeywell air purifier should still be working but need to buy the carbon filter (think i saw in best denki or harvey norman)... caution ah, all the manuals and electronic menus and buttons are in chinese ... hee but not difficult to figure out lah... btw, i would highly recommend something similar to this midea pressure cooker, works really well and very reliable, but i din buy this on jingdong... i cook anything from rice to green bean soup (30 min to really soft green beans) to porridge etc...
  7. yep, it's 360buy.com...i bought my sanyo stainless steel electric kettle, honeywell air purifier, 2 humidifiers and errr, the rest of the electronics in my house in beijing... my chinese friends buy their printers, computer parts etc on jingdong as well... it's like the goto site for electronics - i dun even compare prices with taobao because jingdong issues 发票 by default for free, which is required for warranty in china...and you can buy with peace of mind cos it is very reputable, i.e. you won't be getting any fakes or OEM items not all vendors on taobao issue that, or if they do, they make you pay about 10% (dun remember exactly) extra cos that's the cost they pay to the government to give you that...
  8. Actually this is true of life in China...b4 i went over, i was unaware that online shopping is a way of life in china, as much, if not more than the US...and the shipping charges are amazing - rmb10 or at most, rmb20 if u r shipping a bunch of heavy groceries... Jingdong is where i buy my electronics appliances from - altho some of the distributors are on taobao as well...then for groceries, i would buy on 一号店 and the rest, on taobao (including garbage bags)... for books, i would buy on 当当网 even tho amazon has a tie-up with a local partner and is called 卓越亚马逊
  9. pai say, dunno yet cos they were late additions...when I get the bill, I'll let u know...because it's veneer, choices r more limited, the door guy came with the sample book for me to pick when he did measurements... I actually finished my entire reno den realised the existing doors looked crappy even after a fresh coat of paint...even my id agreed...lol n he was the one who told me no need to chg doors...
  10. Thx it's veneer tho, not laminate … the door guy applied at least 2 layers of varnish to get this shade
  11. I bought it thinking it would go with my mbr but it didn't fit Brand new, just delivered 12 Jan 2013 Selling price : $240 (original price $290, excluding delivery charges), self collection at redhill Interested parties pls pm me...thx !
  12. ya, these caught my eye b4 but i dun like the idea of drilling holes in my wall and i dun have so much stuff to hang so...
  13. ok, this is how the side-by-sdie double hook looks on my bedroom door - my study door closes properly but my mbr bedroom door must push a bit more
  14. yeah, i oredi planned for 3 wall hangings there so the 3 LEDs have been positioned and adjusted by my electrician to hit the 3 walls
  15. kim, u wanted a look at the canvas print, i put it up for up for u to see on the wall: A view from far: Closer look:
  16. try these stores for a start: http://kittyhouse.taobao.com/shop/view_shop.htm?spm=a1z0k.1000783.2.263.QPTWKg&shop_id=34844381 http://1983bestlove.taobao.com/shop/view_shop.htm?spm=a1z0k.1000783.2.278.QPTWKg&shop_id=34654060 http://likekt.taobao.com/shop/view_shop.htm?spm=a1z0k.1000783.2.292.QPTWKg&shop_id=271303 your search term would be "小双子星" coupled with whatever item you're in for cos the search results would be huge...bags, shoes, usb sticks, stuffed animals etc...
  17. i didn't list any of the hello kitty/sanrio stuff cos i thot ppl here more interested in the home decor stuff...
  18. a bit bored at work so doing this... hahahha this one this shop looks like a local clock brand... won't go with your all-white them but i thought these were interesting enough: this one (think i saw an OEM version of the Umbra ribbon clock too in stainless steel): this one cute one
  19. ahh, found it... think this one is ok: dun remember if i shared this but i ordered this one:
  20. thot that style is similar to wat u've posted ... btw, how did u find the link for the tb image ? i could not locate it on the page so i ended up only putting the links there...
  21. this one ? the search results, even though the picture may not display what you want, sometimes i find it's worth it to click into them to find out what other colour options there are...like this one comes in a white/grey version that may go with your place : http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.10.228.MW5nGt&id=21502160919 suggested search term for what you're looking for would be "挂钟 简约"...but just doing a rough look through doesn't show anything in the style u want...may need to investigate shop by shop...
  22. u r searching based on brands, hah ? typically once it's branded, it won't be cheaper on TB ... u may want to go look at the stores who are only dedicated to selling clocks and go through them to find something similar... it's going to take some time tho ...
