Xiaodi & aircon: As mentioned in the previous post, we purchased our aircon from K's cousin at a good price. The pipings were up and workmanship was good. Apparently the piping has been covered, and there's an additional ledge. Not too sure if it's a gift from K or Xiaodi , as i remembered its not in the quote. Mr K :可以放东西 (can put things on ledge) Me: huh? 放什么？(put what) Mr K: 放 ang gong kia....(laughingly) I realised "ang gong kia" is his favourite word.

Additional carpentry: To cut cost, we wanted to buy our bed frame from Sincere and wardrobe from Ximula. While choosing laminates, Mr K showed my Mrs pictures of wardrobes and bed frames he made. Purpose was to show us the effects of the laminates, and not his products. My Mrs was impressed with the work and changed her mind. She persuaded me and we approached Mr K for quotes on bedframe and wardrobe. Though everyone has been saying that Mr K is very expensive, we beg to differ. His quote for the bed frame was actually quite comparable to Sincere (with more add ons) and his wardrobe (which came with doors) was actually 4 digits lower than Ximula's quote (which did not include doors). Will post more pics of the completed carpentry once they are up!

Of socks and shoes : The only difference was a drawer in his sketch. We informed that we didn't want a drawer, and wanted it to be removed. He insisted that this is a neccessity as the drawers will be used for keeping clean socks. We were quite insistent of not having the drawers as we wanted clean lines. Though impressed with his idea, we were more concerned that the drawers will look out of place. Mr K was very insistent on having the drawers, and said that he'll keep the drawer inside the cabinet covered by the casement door. Very thoughtful and persistent, especially when it comes to socks. hahaha. Anyway we're glad he insisted on this, as I usually need to rush back to the room to retrieve clean socks.

钻石！！(Diamonds ) We have now reached the carpentry stage, and Mr K whatsapped my wife the sketches: Conversation: Wife: 请问那些钻石是设计吗 ？(are the diamonds part of the design ?) The call came in within 5 mins : Mr K:不是钻石！！( 3 x) ( no these are not diamond designs !) Mr K: 是门的开关！(it's to indicate the swing doors/drawers etc )

Our sliding doors (wet kitchen) The sliding doors for our wet kitchen and living area are up. The doors for the wet kitchen are actually wire meshed glass door, as proposed by Mr K. It turned out beautiful, and we absolutely loved it. As usual my Mrs was fretting over the wire mesh, as she was worried that it would have an industrial effect, which is not what we wanted. But since he kept saying “会很美”, we followed his suggestion. No regrets He informed us that there could be tracks along the floor and it might cause slight inconvenience. But to our pleasant surprise, there weren't any. This is especially important to us as my parents will be staying at times, and it might pose a safety hazard. We tested the door, and they were very sturdy as compared to the wobbly and cheapo products we encountered. Meticulous suggestion by Mr K: Converstation between him and my wife: K: 厨房的fixed panel门我帮你收在外面 (fixed panel to be outer most panel) Mrs : ok (mind was thinking "got difference meh" -we always agreed to his suggestions as they were practical. Though minute, they will definitely affect our day to day activities) K: 我帮你收在外面是因为以后比较容易清理 (gap between cabinet and panel can be cleaned easily since free panels are kept outside) This was a very thoughtful suggestion as he remembered us telling him we are very fussy about being not able to clean hard to reach areas. This is especiall important for us as we do heavy cookings at times.

Hi art, Mr.K told us that you've bought colored wires for hanging lights. Can pm us the wire contacts? And by the way now we know why Mr K said you're more superstitious .
