Hi mr ting shen, sorry to hear that happen. Hope u get to solve it soon. perhaps ask them to whitewash all with another layer of sealer b4 putting on the new coat of paint. I got a quote from a painter contractor: he charging me $1050 for 3 coats of paint - 1 sealer + 2 layer of nippon medifresh washable paint and include 4x door painting + gate painting. He said he will bring the paint up and put in my house b4 he start painting, ask me not to worry he wun cheat one i find the quotation very attractive as the cheapest i can find outside is 1.2k for painting all the above. normal ID will charge 1.3-1.4k What u guys think i should do to make sure i get the real deal? any comments? i tot of asking him to show me his previosu work to judge the workmanship.

So for a 5 room flat: 1 tin if sealer approx 20l enuff? how much is the cost? 3 tin of paint for 3 bedroom each tine ~ $38? so 3x38=$114 2 tins for living and dining so $76? and plus all celings including 3x bedrooms, living, dining, toilet kitchen, storeroom ? 3 tins enuff?

Got our lighting all in from A Lighting Enterprise. it is @ 463 Geylang Rd lor 25. The shop is managed by Alex Lai also from NTU like moi All in for lighting $590 1 xcosy corner light, 1 x LVR, 1x Dining, 3x WC & shelter, 3x BedRm lights, 1x entrance light, 2x kitchen lights. A new carpenter quote us 7k for kitchen cabinet(as pic above with roller shutter), BI wardrobe, feature wall, shoe rack. We also got our Turbo Hood&Hob and a 2.5 bowl, 1m long sink(forget brand) for altogether $1250.

no worry, ikea will always be around for u to get from them. i feel their lightings are really value fro $, even better than all the lighting shops.

hi ivory and mudster, great that they put they uneven part of the wall in the toilet for ur unit as it has given me headache cos as u can see it shrink the wardrobe depth to 50cm nia Nevertheless me and my FW still considering to put Built in wardrobe on the whole wall, but gotta live with the different depth bo bian cos no other place liaoz unless like Bulai En who do a WIW.(yes we refer to Bulain En thread for reference too ) We are also considering to do a feature wall to cover up the air con ledge window and air con window unit opening and attached a LCD TV on the feature wall. Just an idea we toying with now. All the best for ur reno.

why not send to media corp. My friend use had his flat used for shooting some movies a few times and paid quite handsomely. prehaps can reover part of the cot of reno. Wow, u have quite a big WIW, is ur ID trying out this idustrial style 1st time or was it ur idea? anyway kudos cos it's very tastefully done. But i must say, the lightings have to be there cos the cement screed absorb a lot of light and tend to make the place dark if not illuminated properly.

Hi Ivory, just my opinions as i am quite a practical person so my decision may not bring aesthetic satisfaction if that's what u r going for. From ur ID design, putting the makeup behind the door seemed ok in the drawing but did u see ur actaul space in the MBR behind the door? I measured only 70cm. It seemed too small to put the make up table behind the door even though it is only for standing make up. Also ur ID put the wardrobe on the wallspace between ur toilet and the make up table. have u considered the depth of ur wardrobe? i feel maybe the depth of 50cm is too small to put anything useful.(no forget the thickness of the wooden of acrylic panel will take up 5cm) I will recommend that the wardrobe and the make up table switch position . The space behind the door can be better use for wardrobe. Also i recomment the door be changed to swing in the other direction so that it will not impede anyone stand behind the door. These are the internal measurements I have taken for ur reference. Just my 2 cents worth from the research i made
