Hi Greg, How is the lamp so far? I have 2 in my kitchen and have changed out the faulty bulb. I managed to get the light up for 1 day and it blown again... I suspect it might be due to the lamp or the wiring... If the cause is the faulty lamp, I might have to purchase a replacement. Do you still have the link for the light? I lost mine since I bought it 2-3 months ago. TIA...

[Above] Matt black dining pendant lamp. Cost about $105. In Singapore retails for at least 300-400. Only thing is that it comes with an piping for the wire so you cannot vary the height of the lamp Hi, we got the same lamp! Mine is for the kitchen though... Really solid build but the bulbs that come with the lamp blown after we switch on and off for a few times... Looking good! The lamp do comes with two rods for different height setting. Maybe can saw the rod to create custom height... The rod is a must, otherwise, the lamp will be too filmsy... Hee...

Then while waiting for furniture on sat, I browser the internet and this set of coasters... Really nice! Now I have HOPE! 😬

All carpentry are fully up... Great! The left side view of the wardrobe in the MBR, the laminate that we use is the commonly used greenish blue laminate The right side view of the wardrobe MBR Since our house is small and we can't afford a WIW, walk in wardrobe, we gotten ourselves a WIT instead, walk in toilet 😨.... And worst still, the cabinet door cannot be locked hehe... So if I am taking a dump and my wifey open the door, she has to wait for the doors to close slowly as the hinges come with soft closing mechanism.... The shoe cabinet is up too, with the bricks in between the gap to complete the feel.

I am really excited as I finally found the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle for my lightings.... My study table light... After sourcing for quite some time, initially, I have narrowed down to the table light from make room. Then last month, my friend told me that Artimede was having a moving out clearance sale at Purvis street. So I went with him and have a look at the lighting, then I was attracted to the snake light ( my own naming version) and it cost almost a thousands after discount... 😱 So, I look around and found this wall mounted light, 2 pieces of metal bars which are hold by 2 pieces of metal wire and the feel of the metal bars are really solid... So, we start to haggle for better price but discount is only applicable to display set and it is silver in color but I am interested to the black color one more, which is apparently out of stock... Just as my hope of finding a nice study table light is diminishing, the sales personnel emerged from the store room with a black color lamp, brand new and best still, the sales personnel is charging me the price of a display set! It looks something like this: mine is without base and black in color

The living room lights, taken in a rush as I need to go IKEA to change some fittings. My diamond finally get its energy... It braves through the time, my renovation and all the shifting here and there... Love the effect created by this kitchen downlight... Not as dim as I have fear bit the bulb really CMI, blown after we switch on and off for several times...

Finally, my lights are up.... And I really love the warmth of the yellow light... But wifey prefers white cool light as she wants the room to be super bright.... So no choice, the living room and kitchen are all in warm light while all the rooms and toilets in white light... 50-50.... 感情不散。 I am surprised that the cove light is bright enough 😮.... Initially, we are afraid that the cove light and the 6 LED downlighting might be insufficient to light up the living room as everything is cluster to one side of the living room, that's why I purchase another 2 ceiling lights. But it seems that the lights are bright enough...

According to The Daily Mail, a new study looked at 2000 homes across the U.K. to see if the color of a bedroom can influence how much sleep its occupants get. Their survey indicated that the most restful color for a bedroom is blue, with people sleeping in blue bedrooms getting on average seven hours and 52 minutes of sleep a night. And Brown is the lowest. LOL. But it on my headboard area, so it's ok. I'm still staring on white walls. What about green wall? I think I will sleep in my living room more often.

I also deferred my furniture and all electrical appliances delivery 4 times until they are tired of my voice haha... Then I arranged all of them to come on this sat... Haha

Most of the carpentry is up.... Only left the MBR wardrobe and dresser table and the toilet top to be done... Kitchen cabinet doors Love the old wood look, really bring some dark element to my whitish tiles... The doors for the store room. I really like the x pattern on these doors, haha... Should have choose the same type of design for my MBR wardrobe The shoe cabinet, the gap on the right will be tile with the red craft bricks... Like the color of the laminate...

Not really... But we didn't ask much because we buy quite a limited number of stuff from them haha... Maybe, you can try and let me know??? Wanted to get he carpet and the coffee table with industrial looking wheel... Maybe can fight for some discount i have decided to go for it...

Finally, the chipped main door and the 3 ugly grey bedroom doors are replaced... The white doors really match my blue wall... and my common toilet door is up too. The unevenness is really obvious once the frame is up... This is due to some thickness differences at the toilet entrance... I was not around when the installer was taking measurement and also on the installation day.. Hopefully, the white area can be patched Also, my wifey is determined to get the Yale digital lock as she was impressed by Xiaxue's blog... Haiz, no choice so spent more lor... So far so good though, the fingerprint recognition is really convenient... Say bye bye to keys... This week carpentry will be up, my Reno is really slow and steady... Haha... Anyway, not in a rush too...

Then we fast hand fast leg and travel to get a pouf and sofa cushion from make room. I think their knitted stuff are selling like hot cake... Wanted to get a blue pouf but was sold out... So got a turquoise one instead, my wifey has been bugging me to buy one and she fell in love with the color instantly Then, we look at the catalogue and pre-order a mirror too... Haha... Hole super big now...

It is really lightning fast, 3 out of my 4 days break has ended! Argh... How I wish the clock will stop and Monday will never come... Hehe... Anyway, with such a long holiday, it means more shopping and the hole getting bigger... Still lacking a bed frame even though I got my mattress in march... My wifey has been eyeing on the picket and rail Chicago bed frame since day 1 after we got our mattress but the price really put us off... Imagine we had been to all the different shops to look at the bed frame again and again but didn't make the move as the price is really high. In the end, we even think of buying the scanteak bed frame because of the price.. Then to our surprise, we saw a good price on the web and thus, we quickly go down to the place and get the frame, together with the side table and a chest... Hehe Bed frame Side table Chest
