  2. Hi, $10K for whole house flooring is a bit tight if you ask me. If there are existing flooring in your house, there will be charges to hack it. Then retile again. However it's still depend on the sq ft oh your area. False ceiling & light box for living/dining and if there is any walkway to the bedrooms gonna cost somewhere around $1K.   3. Hi, I understand that forums are open to everybody and anyone can post their views in it. What we are doing is just giving some advise and opinion. Its still up to you guys whether you want to accept it or. Why lately being stalked by ID? Because previously most of the IDs will be imposting as a member and recommending themselves in forums. I believe its still going on. But few of us are not like that and trying to be straight forward and open up some tips and advise. And please take note, there are some things which only IDs will let know the owner and not customers. Try to get that first. What we can see are, most of the owners are sharing their reno details among others. How if you guys are sharing a wrong info? eventually you won't realize until someone tried to use that info and get into trouble. Something to think about and im not blaming anyone for anything. Its my own opinion. thanks and regards.

  5. Hi, May be you can write a complain in to the boss. As ID myself I do advise that to my clients. If you have any issue with me or my work you can make a complain to the project manager or my boss. If you see the rational,the company is just backing up the ID with financial and contacts of contractor. And they do the same for other IDs on the company. Eventually wen clients complaint, they will use the company name together with the IDs name. So the reputation of the company got spoil because of him. So of course the boss will take this matter as serious and moreover if you tell him that u going to give a bad review in all reno forums. From there there are chance for you to get reduction for that 10% or may be even waived off. Please do share your updates on this issue. Thanks.

As per my knowledge there is a price hike this year especially last month due to the workers levy. Appreciate if u could explain on it and post some pics on it.

  9. Hi snowy89, As an ID myself I feel the quotation was given to you is really high. I calculate that most of the works that quoted to you was raised up to 45% of profit margin. I can do way better than them I guess with all the same quality. Shan [remove - signature - advertising]

  11. Dismantle kitchen cabinet, we are charging around $300. Hacking of whole kitchen floors wall tiles around $1k. Per foot run of kitchen cabinet I'm charging at $130. So jus calculate hw many feet is ur kitchen cabinet for top n bottom, as for the work top, if its a solid surface then it's $75per foot run. If its granite then it's $125per foot run- India granite. I guess if I quoted you it will be still cheaper. Oh ya and for laying wall n floor tiles I'm charging $7.50 with a $3 tile selection.
  12. Hi Siti, I can quote way better than that. Seriously the price is too high. I guess the profit margin that the I'd set is too high. For example the shower screen price that he quoted is $700 for a straight panel with swing door. What usually quoted for the same item is $580. Can you see the diff?   13. Hi Donkeyyeo, It's possible to have it done within the budget that you set. Even though its challenging but it can be done. I'm currently in a process of a renovation of a 5 room EA, 143sqf in CCK. Their total was $24300. Just that they did not change their bedrooms flooring and wardrobes. From here you can just imagine that you still have $15700 to play around for bedrooms flooring, wardrobes, additional hacking works for bedrooms and new wardrobes.
