Blinds - Roller Or Otherwise. Any Recommendations?
Apple1 replied to wainism's topic in Home Furnishings
I'm using roller blind and i'm very happy with it so far. Practically non-maintainance. Only downside I can see is that as the blind get the worst of the sun ray, it will discolored with time. -
I bought the letters from Spotlight. Form the words myself.

It depend on the area and the type of tiles you choose. For mine, abstracting from my quotation just for overlay both toilets with wall and floor tiles are $3800. It does not include shower curb, plumbing etc.

Hey Eddy1564, Thanks for the compliment, I go with my feeling regarding the deco. Good that my hubby let me made all the decision while he communicated with the workers & contractor and pay the bills Lots of furniture are old stuffs and even hand me downs so gotta work around that too.

Electrician Needed For Resale 5-Room Flat
Apple1 replied to Cyril1986's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
My 5 room resale is done by Raymond. We had a smooth dealing with him. He came the 1st time to look thru the flat, we told him what we want. 2nd time he came by to run the wires, 3rd time he came to fixed the lights after painting and false ceiling were done. 4th time he came by when we told him we need some rectification.... I have the 5 in 1 bed. Upper super single with lower single. The one thing you need to take note is to not sleep on the lower bed without pulling it up to the full height. Cause if it's not pull up, it will be resting on the 2 wheels instead of the 2 solid legs. The wheels are meant to be used to pull in and out the mattress from under the bed. I bought mine from MaxCoil. Great for any guest, adult or child.

Ya, I'm toying with getting a stand alone induction from Taiyo that I saw. Shall check out the Roman stove. Thanks!

Actually, it just happened last week She is 14 years old. I think I am more frighten than her.

Agree with summersann! If you are not sure, ask lots of question when you visit the nursery. I love talking to the uncle taking care of the plants. One very easy plant to put indoor is money plant.

She removed the pan and turn the stove dial the other way (instead of switching off) to the smallest flame. Didn't notice until I walked into the kitchen in dark and see the bluish small flame. Had a very serious talk with her. Hope she learn her lesson. I'm glad she enjoys cooking and didn't want to put her off from that, but at the same time safety must come first... so gotta stress she must be more alert. Your house is turning out beautifully! The word that come to my mind when I see the pictures is "Romantic"

Aiyah... read this much too late. This looks really good (especially the timer). Didn't know abt this, was thinking of getting an induction cooker but finally went back to normal stove. And the thing that I fear happened... my daughter cooked her lunch and left the stove on for 8 hours! Good thing that nothing happened and I discovered it when I get home... heart attack.

How To Get Rid Of Ants?
Apple1 replied to sepultura's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
I use white vinegar. Dilute some in water and mop/swipe wherever there is ants. Yes, there is the vinegar smell, but it disperse after a while and vinegar is harmless to us. It somehow repel the ants. -
50-Litre Storage Heater For 2 Rainshowers?
Apple1 replied to rain's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
I have 2 rainshowers with a 35litre. It works fine for us. But if you want those super shiok water pressure, than I don't get that. However, we are fine with the pressure that we have now. -
We have moved in for 1 month now. But when we first moved in, only the 2 common bedrooms carpentry and the electric work were done. The rest of the carpentry were half done and plumbing not completed (read: leaking sinks). There were workers in the house everyday. Dusts and dirt everywhere. Hahaha... ya, I sweep, wash, clean, mop.... never ending work. For us, we have existing furniture from the previous house so it was a nightmare when those furnitures had dust all over (sofas & mattress were the worst). It took another 9 days for all the workers to be out of the house. Now is just some rectification work I find here and there. I understand what you are going thru now. But hang in there, I believe yours are almost done! Better check and check around your place to see any work to be rectify before the worker leave cause it does get frustrating when we need to rush back home from work or places so that we could let the worker in to rectify any work. Ohhh.... I love your ceiling!! I wanted that but I've got to watch my budget lor...
