I agree - Vanessa's ability to suss out the good deals on taobao are even more amazing, bearing in mind the fact that she doesn't know how to read chinese i just tried to help you hunt as well and you're not kidding! I've tried '发夹椅腿' and got loads of hairpins, scrunchies and hair pieces I then tried ‘椅腿DIY' and got loads of chair legs, but after scrolling for so many pages, still can't find anything that looks like the hairpin legs in the article you quoted Have tried several other permutations as well and I'm throwing in the towel. The closest that I got was http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.8.XTEamR&id=13522691943 but the shape and color are both wrong

i think i need my eyes checked after seeing your post, i scrolled upwards again to double check and the lamp still looks red to me. *blush* it must be my lousy computer screen at work hahahahaha The HTB is a stick in the mud. He has nothing against buying 2nd hand items / online shopping, but he puts his foot down when it comes to buying 2nd hand electronic items online because he insists that electronic items have a limited shelf life so we might as well buy them first hand. oddly enough, he's the one trawling gumtree and ebay to see if there are any dining tables that he can get on the cheap *roll eyes*

nice photos! i don't know why but looking through the photos, the overwhelming feeling that i get is of being in an old 3 star hotel in Desaru or KL hahhaha particularly the MBR toilet on the right (the standing shower area) plus the overall colour scheme of the place but having said that, the flooring looks to be in pretty decent condition are you intending to hack everything or will you be retaining the existing flooring?

i like the red lamp - it provides a very nice splash of color and commands attention. hahahahahaha if he really wants to hug his books in the hammock to sleep, he is very welcome to do so. i will hug my bags in the bed to sleep

sigh these digital door locks are sleek and gorgeous but at this point, our budget is so stretched that it's currently filed under 'nice to have' and 'maybe in the future' guess i'll be sticking to the tried and tested lock and key at the moment

Yup Yup!!! i always end up spending too much money in that shop, tapaoing kuehs for his family and mine as well. AV hawker centre is awesome... the claypot laksa, the wanton noodles, the fishball noodles... time for food photos! Heaven in a bowl - But having said that... I still need to admit... that we love the IKEA cafe too meatballs... chicken wings.... *drool*

Hi June, that's a good point. I was feeling all warm inside after reading what you said, so I decided to give him some credit, telling him that even though i don't like what he chose in the end, i'm still impressed that he put in so much effort to go shopping. I even said that he surprised me, because he's really not much of a shopper. The idiot simply replied, "No choice... there's nothing else to do in Chennai when your flight is at midnight and the beers were so expensive."

hi oldskool!! the lamp looks.... normal, i guess. it's not ugly, but it wouldn't have been something that i would pick. therefore, he's going to put it in his reading room hahahahaha he's a geek so he grabbed that book excitedly with 30+ books to occupy him, i think he's going to be quiet for quite some time if you'd like, i can ask him to lend it to you after he's done reading it goes well with your table! d'oh! hahahahah
