hmm i think its north bridge road.. or south bridge... eh... the behind part of chinatown.. there are a number of shops selling the chinese dried gooDs... they can tell you... then you can go to the temporary people's park market next to the outram mrt.. there is a shOp there selling traditional chinese wedding stuff... like the baby tub, potty, tea sets, whatever you need i do think they have it... you can go ask them what to buy and stuff... usually they wil ask you what you need.. but you cn tell them u dunno ask them to advise but make sure they do not take advantage bah... heh... hmmm if your mummy only wants oranges & cakes, then bao for her big hong bao to make up for the rest of the items lo... maybe can give 1999... she take 1000 and return yr hubby 999... that sort of thing... when i see pple's photos i also see like very exciting and fun... but i didnt feel it when i went thru it? Hubbs says he has told him already and he is already countint daily... we still havent gotten major items like fridge, tv & oven... so the whole will be pretty bare for awhile... we have old 29" tv... those huge ones... we wil use it temporary til the IT show in March. Heh. you can always drop by to see see look look on weekdays... since the carpenters shld be there doing their work... anyway i went by on Wed and yesterday... from Wed to Sat, there has been no movement or change noted... don't know what they're doing. Anyway, they're losing money... too baD...

cherlynn.. quite sad to read abt ur happening.. but i knw there are such mothers out there.. money minded... my frn's mum is like that... expect them pay for everything and demand a lot... my mil is also one kind... everything is my hubby n i paying... the ping jing things all we settle... but she did talk to my hubby n explain why he must pay for everything... because she is hsewife no earn money... the father also quite old liao then work those cleaner job dont earn much... what money she gets is frm the 3 children who give her monthly allowance... my hubby is youngest and only son... "lai zai" his sisters older than him by 8-14 yrs if im nt wrong... oldest already have 2 kids ... initially i was very very angry because she keep comparing us to her older daugther & the hubby... sometimes i feel like macham she is marrying off her son to me like that... ahahahaha! the way she act & ask for things like macham the son is girl then im guy marrying him lo... so duh... she likes to comment that the son in law this n that... brag a lot lor i also bth! i feel like telling her ya la son in law best la. go kiss his a** la! eveyrtime got something she will ask us to go ask him for advise... my mil is quite one kind. when i told her no no she wasnt happy and insisted.. so i no choice... my parents weren't happy but seeing i was very tired and frustrated with preps, they just let it be.. though my dad did say that i shld tell my in laws to pay if they want things their way... hubbs & i paying for everything... haiii but of cos i in not position to say so much la... heh... so just let it be... cos my family quite big.. i have 4 more siblings... then plus their partners... and my parents already make up 1 table... hahaha so in a way is jus nice bah... my father did mention to have jus 1 VIP table so no choice... but venue giving 2. then mil also says 2. so leave it lor. i jus hope i will nt get angry on that day. my temper nowadays quite short. little bit frustrated. i need to control myself! my one is mil insist... i wan sit with my daddy mummy leh... just cnt wait for it all to be over@!

actually it depends... some pple say male 1 table, female 1 table. some pple say the bride & groom, both sets of parents and grandparents at 1 vip... adds up to 10pax. jus nice for 1 so called table. anyway, for our case, my in laws say male 1 table, i sit with them. female 1 table, my parents, granny, siblings.. my parents weren't very happy .. they feel that all elders ie parents n grandparents sit at 1 VIP table with bride & groom... actually, traditionally, there has always only been 1 Main VIP table... then dont knw how come become 2... Anyway, my parents decided not to "argue" abt it since my in laws insist. and i'm tired of tryin to make everyone but ourselves happy . when my in law told me abt this i was very very very upset... becos i wish to sit with my parents as well.. if not feel so lonely lo... my frns said its okie because wldnt really have the time to sit down... thats the only consolation I guess.. i was thinking i wld go over to my family's table a bit more to talk n sit with them but not nice lor... haiiiiiiiii ...

hmm leaking toilet bowl seems to be a prominent problem for most of us ... weird... u relly gonna check tiles... we gave it a miss... heh... too tedious... bought the table from Cellini at furniture mall... the top is glass yes... its actually black in colour... the stand is "stainless" steel.. i dun tink it's pure stainless steel.. some mixture because stainless steel is super exP! we bought ours for 1688 if im nt wrong plus the 6 chairS... we have spoken many many many times to our ID... anyway since they say next week so be it bah... anyway have already seen defects.... some of the carpentries are chipPed... the best past is, the mounted the kitchen cabinets too low... my ID drew a line for them to follow but they went lower by 2-3 inches... !! I am very particular abt this and I have mentioned it to my ID many times that i want them higher then the norm becos we are quite tall ... im 1.7 and hubbs is 1.8... we DO NOT want to bend to wash dishes or cook... in time to come, my back will probably give way... he keeps saying no problem he has measured to put it at 36inches frm the grd ... 35 is the normal for asians... he says raise 1 inch for us but now? macham 33-34 ... wth? this i Must INSIST they shift! haiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

wa ur id move so fast.. not like mine! delayed bcos of carpentries.... they claim tomorrow wil put all up and complete .. only solid table top i tink next week... have been really disappointed with the slow moving renOs... i had to reschedule delivery of my dining table and they charge me $30... i told my ID i will minus $ frm him... Anyway, the table, sofa & bed wil be coming in on Sat... i dunno if possible or not... *siGhx* am thinking if i shld reschedule til next week or not... quite risky lo.. but they claim no problem.... the last time they claimed everything wil be done by 7th... and nothing happened... dunno now can trust or not... grrrrr.... nw have to wait til tomorrow and see how... if not need to reschedule again... btw i lurve the wiw... we were tempted to knock down wall but decided not to in case in future we need more space as well as if we sell the place...
