Dear all, recently realised my water heater have some minor leak dripping down for where it was indicated in the picture.When open up the plastic cover, realised there i some water droplet around it and dont find any crack or anything leaking around the area. Someone told me its just some condensation, but i wanna more opinions here. it is a cause for concern at all? I believe the heater is less than 10 years old. Other than the water leak, everything else is fine, good water flow, hot water constantly. Any expert or home owner here with the same exeprience can give some comments? Thank in advance

HI to all DIYers' I am planning to wall mount some existing ikea Faktum wall cabinet by myself ( 60cm W x 70 cm ht) and wondering the best and most secure method to wall mount it in terms of type of screws, anchor etc. As you may be aware ikea cabinet is make of chip board and is pretty heavy on its own. Also according to their manuals its simply hold up by two L bracket on the top corner. I always have some kind of insecurity to wall mount cabinet without having any support to the floor but due to some changes going on in my study room , I need to wall mount it. In the past for wall shelve i will simply use plastic anchor and screw to hold them up but for cabinet will that be sufficient? if not, what other typre of screws shoud I get? btw its typical HDB concrete wall. Thanks in advance for any advice

hi all, have anyone ever diy their own cushion settee? meaning buying the foam cushion and also custom made the fabric cushion cover? Planning to do it but cant find source for foam supplier, also like advice on the price and density type for seating etc.Cover wise, whether just provide the foam dimension to a sewer and they can do the rest or otherwise. Anyone done it before please advice! Can anyone advise how long does the false ceiling work take? Say for a room 3m by 6m, normal false ceiling thru out. Why I ask because I am intending to do some ceiling work on my existing home(living room) with my family staying in. Was wondering if the dust and mess bearable if the work Last only 2-3 days.

And the beauty is I can still rearrange the internal with new accessories from ikea until today as the size of the frame they are selling remain the same till today.I can even change the door and have a whole new refreshing looks. So what if its made of chipboard, what matters is that its still sturdy and reliable if its assemble properly from day one.

Hi there, I have came across at some retail shop with industrial look design, especially fashion store. Upon closer look at their cement screed wall,it seems to be apply thinly onto a plywood panel and then secure onto wall. Or is it some kind of cement board? I am interested to get that effect but doesn't want to go to an extent of roughing the existing wall and screed the wall with cement by contractor.( too messy). Instead if can be diy using the panel method or maybe contractor can prepare it in the factory and install it after will be ideal. Have anyone done that before can advise, or maybe some building profession pop can give some advise? Thank you.

I had some drilling done on my home last Sunday by this uncle too. I needed 2 thru hole to be done between my bedrooms so that i can run some ethernet cable for all the bedrooms( nothing beats a wired connection!). Wanted a home about 25mm. So i engaged them to do the drilling work, inclusive of pvc pipe and patching up with putty. In the end i decided not to put in the pvc pipe after the uncle did the drilling cos the pipe will reduce the diameter of the hole to about 18-20mm. So leave the hole as it is since it is gonna be behind cabinet. Didnt bargin on the price too i found their price already reasonable and the uncle is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, but in order to have miscommunication, must always stated everything clearly before engaging. I think wall plug is always required if the hole is to carry heavy loads, so as long as you mention whats the hole for, they should be able to quote you a exact price thru the phone.
