Then the salesman said if use Class O dun nit to upgrade to half inch.. so we trust him. Cross my fingers dat we wun have problems.. Where did u buy yr bi-fold toilet door and how much? Ya, I went IKEA oso last weekend to check out their clearance sales. Their glass or s/steel backing i think less than $20 leh.. but the problem is, it is not full coverage, mayb only 3/4. My ID quoted $1.3k.. he said the glass nits to go thru some special treatment, then spray and nit to do the wood b4 can put the glass.. sigh, nice but so expensive. Dunno want to do or not.. Poo-stained? eeeee... we saw our toilet, looks disgusting, dun dare to even open.. dun think i saw crack on walls.. but in between tiles, got abit of hole here and there.. the cement part i think..is dat an issue? But the toilet doors they gave, i feel abit substd leh.. got creaking sound n feels flimsy! Kayser, when u starting yr reno? Just bought aircon, thot of asking them to instal during 7mth leh.. coz dun want to delay la.. I think mine oso Seah.. hehe... is there a time limit to submit the defects?

Actually I'm not sure if backsplash is the word for it coz i read smwhere dat it may mean different things. But the thing we r refering to is the piece of backing btw the worktop and the top cabinet. Usually either in s/steel or glass.. some ppl just put it near the cooker, whereas some the whole stretch of the kitchen cabinet. I went to check it out on Sat oso.. i found afew defects but we haven't submit coz not sure how to check the tiles. Ours defects dat we found, roughly, if i remember correctly : - The locks, not sure what they r called. The one dat we push up or down to lock one side of the door or window. Afew of them, we can't push completely. - Study room door magnetic not aligned, so it doesn't stick well when we close - MBR toilet vanity top got some stains dat looks like paint surrounding the curve of the sink (do u have this problem?) - All room doors, peeling slightly at the bottom - Some room windows, the rubber came off - Service balcony door can't lock That's all I remember for now. Yrs similar? We haven't check tiles. Did u check? How to know if tiles r hollow. My fren said use coin but dun hear any difference leh.. hahaha..

Oh no.. i just put my deposit to buy from them today! Bought 2 system 3. We were swayed by the fact dat their installers s'pposed to be "licensed" and the "free upgrade" from Class 1 to O. Abit worried after reading tis thread. Better check their insulation when they install..

Ya, got a quote which is abt $1.4k wor... i thot it is going to be very cheap,like few hundred at most.. then i read smwhere dat some ppl confuse backsplash and backing.. so dunno if I told the ID the right thing.. hahha.. I remember 1 ID said, if not too big, then can just give it for free, those frosted glass kind.. so i thot must be cheap..

Me abit blur now.. is glass backsplash and glass backing for the kitchen the same? Basically I'm refering to the frosted glass kind against the wall btw the worktop and the cabinet, giving the very modern look.. Could this coz more than $1k? Thot it is quite cheap...

Hi Candy princess. Sorry, my hubby transfered the fotos to his MP3 player, then the fotos got corrupted or smthing. Camera deleted oredi. Most likely this weekend will go again, so will take the fotos again ok? ;-) Let me see if he managed to salvaged some of the fotos fr his office computer. Keep my fingers crossed.

Hei, does anyone know, if we decide to continue reno during the 7th month, what r the 'steps' we nit to do? I understand that we nit to just do some knocking to signify dat work has started b4 the 7th month, then during 7th month can do the actual reno itself. Any idea?

Nope. Just open and go in. Haha..I asked my mum, she said dun nit. Only when shift in dat time nit to look at dates. Altho, I saw some of them in here, use orange and got some prayers. But me n hubby not to pantang. Yup, no shower screen or kerb. Saw the tv n telephone pts in the MBR and living rm. The rest I didn't notice. No hot and cold water concealed piping, so we have to change all the piping, I believe. But the prices oso sky high for those prime areas.. so I guess that's why they provide more things.

The common toilet oso dun have dat half shower screen, the one dat the showflat n sample flat has.

Paid the following if i remember correctly, docs not wif me : - close to $5k for all those conveyancy, legal fees (CPF) - 1st month instalment (CPF) - some mortgage stamp, survey fees abt $930+ (CPF) - downpayment - S&C for 3 months, $231 (Cash/nets) - fire insurance $9.75 for Exec (cash/nets)

Got my keys tis morning! FYI. All the tiles the same as the showflat, toilets as well.

Jus open a/c, dint put any $$.. wanted to but becoz it takes 1 week to process the a/c.
