  1. This would be one of my last posts. The MBR toilet. It is not a huge toilet, so I decided to move the basin out to the walk-in wardrobe. The door to the toilet is similar design to the common toilet. But this is a casement door, rather than a sliding. Aluminium with frosted glass. The laminate for the basin cabinet is the same as the wardrobe. The tap is from Hansgrohe. I also constructed a wall just beside the basin, as the moment you enter the room the basin is there. The wall gives it some privacy. Close up of the basin area. Mirror is from Grafunkt. The light is sprayed to a custom pink. The light bulb is the same as the guest room. Gold coating below the bulb, so that the light shines up (not so glaring). Inside the bathroom. As you can see, it is not huge. If I install the basin in the toilet, it will take up half the shower area. Means also the shower area will be a lot smaller. I wanted a bigger shower area. Shower screen was proposed by my ID. Love the design. It is made from aluminium and glass. Toilet bowl same as the common bath. Laundry basket is from Ikea! Wanted a ledge/seating area for the shower area. Double up as a place to place all shower stuff, cleanser etc. Tiles are the same as the wall tiles. The shower system is from Hansgrohe.
  2. Some close up photos of the walk-in wardrobe. First two drawers below the windows are for my watches and glasses. My wardrobe is L-shaped. Thus to access the corner portion of the wardrobe, my ID proposed this L-Shaped door. For easy access to the space right inside. Works quite well. I didn't have space for a dressing table. I also just happened that my ID proposed drawers in the wardrobe and the mirror is also installed on the other door. So I put all the facial products etc in the first drawer, and the mirror is just there too. Problem solved. Close-up of the writing table. Not a huge table. Just enough for my laptop. I didn't want a huge table anyway. The fan is from TaoBao. Actually I have a bit of problem with the fan. It is working, but the oscillating button keeps going down by itself. If anyone knows someone who can repair or fix a table fan, please let me know!
  3. Hello! There are several ways to do so. Since you have data points in various rooms, and if you have two routers, you can connect two routers together. That is what I did. Go to this website to take a look. I did a LAN to LAN http://www.wikihow.com/Connect-Two-Routers I signed on with Starhub, which came with one router and I bought another. So one is in my living room. The other in my walk-in wardrobe, as the WIFI in the bedroom is a bit weak. I have not used a wireless repeater before. But I have used home-plugs before. They work fine too. You can check those out as well. Hope this helps. Cheers.
  4. Thanks mate! Took me 10 hours in total to choose wall colour and laminates. But Designer S proposed most of it. I only told her I like grey. I quite like most of her selection, and I must say it all came together quite nicely. For me at least!
  5. Indeed! Looks really good. Designer S did a very good job to your place!
  6. hello! LOL! I am not sure about others, but I do have a lot of clothes! Too much perhaps. I also have a lot of bags as you can see from my photos!
  7. The final room. This was the original MBR, but I converted it to a walk-in wardrobe. Like I mentioned in one of my first few posts, I combined the original MBR with Bedroom 2. Bedroom 2 is now my bedroom. I moved the wooden door out a bit to the hallway. Installed a glass door to the bedroom, so that when I switch on the aircon in there, the air will stay in the room. Below is the photo of the glass door. Below are overview photos of the walk-in wardrobe. As you can see I moved the basin out from the MBR toilet. The other view from the wardrobe. The office chair is a very old one. Looking for a new one at the moment! Writing table and drawers are custom made. Close up view of the main wardrobe. My ID and I wanted to utilise the space below the window, so we decided on drawers and compartments. The compartments are for my bags! Laminate for the wardrobe.
  8. Someone asked me what sort of mattress I bought for my place. I went with Sealy. All these years I never slept on so called branded mattresses, and I told myself that I would want to invest in a good one when I have my own place. The mattress was the first item I bought for my place! I did consider Simmons. But I felt it was a bit more expensive than Sealy. Perhaps also I was sold by the Sealy advert! ha! So I went around to various department stores and even to a Sealy boutique to checked out the prices. When OneKM opened in Nov 2014, I went there to check out the Sealy boutique (since it was very near to my place). Was served by this lady called Ivy. I must say she is the most patient sales person I have met. Provided me with all the information I asked. In the end I decided to buy the Sealy Posturepedic Uncased Grand Eminence that day. There was a promo during that time. GST adsorbed and also opening discount. She gave me a further discount, as I could also get a single mattress or bed frame for free. I didn't want any of those. In March, I saw an ad on the newspaper with another promo for the mattress. Buy Queen size, upgrade to King size for free and free Dyson vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner is the hand held one, cost $399 to buy at stores. I called Ivy to see if I could change to this promo. She calculated for me and it was slightly cheaper, and she managed to change to this promo for me. Subsequently I went back to the store and bought another Queen size mattress (Queen Heritage Cushion Firm) from her other colleague, Jessica. Also very patient and nice sales person. Am quite happy with my purchase. It is really comfortable. I don't like my mattress too soft or too firm. The one I purchase is just right, and Ivy made the right recommendation for me. If you are looking for a Sealy mattress, go check out this branch. I think Ivy and Jessica is still working there. They are the best sales person I have ever encountered. Honestly buying mattress is a personal thing. It really depends on your liking. Some brands have things like pocket spring etc. But whatever it is, you must go test the mattress. See which is more comfortable for you. Anyway you will be sleeping on it for at least 8 to 10 years! Also see your budget and determine which one will suit you most.
  9. Hi there! Can I find out where you bought the colourful stools? Love the pink. Thanks!
  10. They are good people and very easy to work with. The main reason why I decided to custom make my furniture is also becos I cannot find things I like out there. Even if I do, it is way too expensive for me. Furthermore, there are designs you cannot find here in Singapore. Only online
  11. Hey! Yes! They do make some good stuff. However, one tip, if you want to custom make your furniture with them, go do some research. Print out some photos of the furniture you found, or from magazines. If you have an ID, ask your ID the dimensions of the furniture you like to custome make. It will be a lot easier when you are there. They do make good stuff. If there are any defects when the furniture is delivered, they will bring it back and fix it or re-do another piece for you. Their strength is mid-century, Scandinavian and vintage type/style furniture. They also do some Industrial style furniture.
  12. Hi there! The TV console in the living room? It is custom made. From this place called Second Charm. They specialises in vintage furniture and they also customise for you. The make a lot of teak wood furniture. I showed them the design and gave them the dimensions. You can go search for them on Facebook. Will PM you the price. Thanks!
  13. Hey! Yes the door is aluminum with frosted glass. Took much discussion before deciding on it. Anyway PM you the price. Cheers.
  14. It looks good isn't it? Anyway, it is not sold in Singapore yet. Not sure if it will. However, you are able to buy it online. But expensive!
  15. The photos for my MBR or bedroom. I converted the original MBR to my walk-in wardrobe and study. The adjoining room is now my bedroom. Will post photos of the walk-in wardrobe next time. Overview of the MBR. My bed is custom made. It looks like it is floating . Have two types of laminate on it. The laminate for the frame is: The laminate for the head board is: Close up of the bedside tables and lamp. If you shop around a lot, you will know where the lamp is from . Bedside tables too. Got the design from a store and custom made it. Sideboard is also custom made, as I wanted a bigger walking space around the bed. The design follows the guest room sideboard and also the TV console at the living room. Made another stool for the MBR to put a table fan. Same design as the one in the guest room. Fan is from Taobao! I really like this Normann Copenhagen Cap Lamp. Not sold in Singapore yet. Will wait for the pink one! Will want to put it on the other bedside table.
