Mine is the shabby chic theme which is also about recycling the existing items, painting it and giving it a new life. Kind of an education lesson to my kids that not everything has to removed to achieve a look. all the wood materials still comes from trees so trying to recycle where we can plus I kept all my doors even the main door - repairing it a little and painted over. whatever was changed was either due to safety or really without help.

Hmmm, for my renovation (electrical/plumbing included) excluding furnishing and lighting etc - it is below 40k. It would be lower if I didn't need to do replace the entire level flooring and had walk-in ward robes for 2 rooms. Those ward-robes are like luxury instead of basic item

hahaha! That is a good idea I have been very slack with my renovation and distracted with work. nothing much has been done for 2 weeks because of my Taobao items BUT they arrived yesterday! Woo Hoo! There is delay on the kitchen and still being fabricated I want the drawers to be behind the cabinets so everything is vertical lines *lol* I am thinking of using those bamboo blinds and hanging over the beam to mask the look (idea idea idea)

Polishing and varnishing completed for staircase and upper floor! The walnut shade wasn't the same as what I thought it would be but at least it isn't the teak light brown colour. Another surprise was the parquet checker boxes, took a while and I blinked my eyes to see if that was what I was seeing. After that few minutes, it grew me and add character to the floor. Woody look and no glossy varnish! ID is kind of getting on to what I am aiming for so he told his guys not to have the glossy varnish and did the matt look. It fits in my other unseen theme which is "lazy theme" With the matt look, I don't have to worry about foot prints ! Yay!

Just realised the sink which you are using is somewhat what I opted for. My sink will be integrated with the solid surface, not sure how it will turn out though...

Oh.... I want to do shutters and don't like the window look.... Not sure if the beam can be painted though

Went to take a peek! Partition Boards for my walk and my girls' walk in up!! Simply Excited!! Kind of a cost saving measure since a full on walk in would set me back by alot. Having a partition board and the internal will be by Ikea Algot will kind of half the cost It is still bare and not painted yet but I can't when it is painted and fitted with the railings! My Girls' Walk In Sorry, can I rant a little? Dislike the metal beam, am till pondering what to do with it. and a bird pooped on my white balcony!!

I Love white doors too! Kind of having minor regret my bedrooms door brown!! For your bathroom, could I ask why you didn't opt for bi-fold? My 3rd bathroom is somewhat like yours so I wanted a door but ID said not practical and strongly suggested bi-fold to avoid being cramped. So the door thingy is still in a limbo

Saw a metal white Stool at Forty-Two & Got it! (delivery is 1st Nov so I will need to patiently wait) I tend to work on my laptop & cook at times so having 2 stools at the laminate table which will be my breakfast + multi purpose counter top will be so cosy!
