  1. That's what we think. But actually he asked for 20% when he starts then 80% completion that's all. We're really appreciated his answer. Well a big co. to answering a small fry renovation like us. Our is a resale flat. Only little renovation need to be done. So he's not looking down at us. Thumbs up for the start.

He even told us if confirm no need deposit as it's only small amount for him. But when it's started we need to pay 20%. We're so impressed by his sincerity. But again price on the high side.

Are both reasonable price? As you can see Id B's price is much cheaper compare to Id A's for the same work they do. My concern is: Id B's work will be less excellent compared to Id A's because it is less renowned company. Thanks in advance
  5. Hi Alice916, We've gotten quotation from Budget Reno and compare it to Ho Bee. It's seriously budget ... But we're quite worried after reading Bullet's post and seems only 1 person appraise this budget reno which is Peng. i tried to pm peng but no answer. So maybe Peng can shed some light... However, we have more chemistry with Ho Bee. Patrick is very sincere even for the little renovation amount that we'd like to do. On the other hand, Budget reno tempt us with the price. I really don't know if this the nett price or there are some hidden charges.
  6. Hi Alice, How's your meeting with budgetreno contractor. We are also about to engage their service. I am quite worried what Bullet have stated earlier that they only do the consultancy. But when I checked their site, they also do the coordinating and controlling. Btw, mind to share the quotation they gave you please pm me yah....

  10. Thanks much clearer now. Another burning question, the 10% downpayment is paid to HDB but $5K OTP is paid to the seller. How do they settle this?? Seems like by default we are paying OTP for cash above valuation? Confuse..confuse....
  11. Hi I'm planning to buy resale flat. I have a burning question on OTP 5K that we are going to pay to the seller. My example is like this, we buy the house at valuation and we only take bank loan of 80%. So what will happen with the $5K OTP and exercise OTP fee? Will it be accounted as my 5% cash down payment? And this down payment will be paid to...?? HDB, BANK?? I'm so confused. I hope there's a kind soul to give immediate answer. We are just started to try negotiating. Seems this unit is closing very fast. Sigh.. frenzy resale market... What we really hope is to minimize cash involved as they normally ask for above valuation. Haiz....
