hi, sorry to hear about your case. according to singapore law, u can file for divorce under any one of the following condition (provided u have been married for more than 3 years): • that your spouse has committed adultery, and you find it intolerable to live with him or her • that your spouse has behaved in such a way that you cannot reasonably be expected to live with him or her • that your spouse has deserted you for at least two years • if your spouse agrees to the divorce, that you and your spouse have been separated for at least three years • if your spouse does not agree to the divorce, that you and your spouse have been separated for at least four years. so if you husband has gone MIA for more than 2 years, u can file for divorce unilaterally under reason 3 above. therefore, pls go n file a police report and in fact back date to the date that he actually went MIA. if the court is satisfied that he has indeed deserted u and your child for 2 years, he cannot even contest the divorce. if he suddenly re-appears and threaten u, u can apply for PPO.

Full HD or HD ready? it's like buying a PC, whether you should buy the high-end, mid-range or entry level one. it's very much dependent on your needs and budget. if budget is no constraint, go for the highest available one i.e. Full HD. a few years down the road when TV content are full HD (hopefully), you can reap the full benefits of your TV. however, if you are not very particular about image quality (i.e. sharp vs very sharp) or you are thinking of changing TV a couple of years down the road, then HD ready would suffice. especially now that HD ready LCDs are **** cheap. Full HD or HD ready, you need a HD tuner box to receive HD signals (unless the full HD model has a built-in tuner). as onepostwonder has mentioned, the only free-to-air HD channel is HD 5. alternatively, you can subscribe to starhub HD channels. Go for LCD. Plasma is a dying breed. Pioneer, the pioneer for plasma, is no longer producing plasma panels. i.e. there will be no/little advancement in the plasma arena. LCD used to have a shorter lifespan than plasma but this is no longer true. some LCDs lasts as long as their plasma counterparts. plasma also has the problem of ghosting effect i.e if a static image is projected on the screen for a long time, the image will be burned-in to the screen. but of course plasma has a deeper and richer image than LCD. You should check out some of the neighbourhood shops. they offer very competitive pricing. the best is that you can call and ask for quotes over the phone. if tempting then make a trip down. but of course we must have the model no. in hand. don't expected too much from the PC show. I was at the last IT show looking at LCDs. Called the neighbourhood shops and their pricing is lower than what was offered during the fair for all the models I was looking at. but no harm going down to have a look as all the major players like audio house, HN, Best will be there.

Yes, staying in Blk 26A.

ha ha... i also dunno. i only know there are 2 type, air-vented and condenser. Condenser type is supposed to be better in terms of energy efficiency. Most models are retailing at over $1000++. Then saw this new model and it's selling at below $1000. Our roller blinds are from Jimmy Textiles.

This weekend is a burn big big hole in pocket weekend. Finally got most of of our electrical stuff. Some of the stuff that we bought.... Electrolux EWF1084 Front Load Washer. Supposing an exclusive model for Harvey Norman. But bought it at this friendly neighbourhood shop in Bukit Merah. Electrolux EDC67150W Dryer. My WTB favorite. It's her dream to have a condenser dryer. Sharp LC-42A83M LCD TV. Finally, I can watch football on a big screen. Mitsubishi MR-S46M Fridge. It was love at first sight. Despite other recommendations, still chose to buy this.

yeah! yeah! yeah! but before moving, a lot of hard work... cleaning, shifting stuff etc. Hi, African Black is one of the darkest. If I remember correctly, there one that is close to black. But I think it will be too dark for flooring.
