  3. hope not too late to spam chop. nice design. seems like u have a lot of capentary work too.
  4. Finally our bomb shelter mirror is up. (Still abit dirty though. ) We have also installed curtains/binds for the whole house. Day and night curtains at the living room. It's a pity that we have only a small small windows. Roller binds for the rest of the rooms. Also took a picture of from our bedroom windows. No sea view, no sky view but at least there's garden view. So finally, after some minor hiccups, our new home is finally ready. Expect to have some minor touch-up and we are ready for handover this week.
  5. our reno is coming to a close and we have to face hiccup finally. thought it will be a smooth process. hai..... realised that the mirror that we installed above the shoes cabinet had a small chip at the edge of the mirror. not noticeable when view from a distant. but still feel a bit sad as the mirror is new and supposed to be perfect! reported to my ID immediately. after discussing with the mirror supplier, they offered to minus off about 20% from the cost of the mirror as re-doing the mirror will involve a lot of work. after some consideration, we decided to just accept the discount. also realised that our bomb shelter feature wall has some scratches on one of the mirror too. this is too obvious and we want the ID to replace this piece definitely. so handover may be delay by 1-2 days. mirror ah mirror..... why are you giving us so much problem.
  6. hi, thanks. got the basin from royal fanco. if i remember correctly it should be $135.
  7. nice wardrobe. !! interesting idea to have it suspended on one side. !!
  8. hi angel, u r correct, we have to buy one where the height from the mixer to the shower head must not exceed about 1.2 m. ours is about 1.1 m. there are actually quite a no. of places selling rain shower that can fit into our bathroom. i've seen them at poh joo, hoe kee, royal fanco etc. we bought ours at royal fanco. can't remember how much but i think it's about $400.
  9. hee hee... pictures smaller so that it can load faster. this weekend onwards will be a good time as they will be washing the place this week. most of the time we are there during weekends, especially so for the coming weeks as we will be expecting delivery and moving some stuff over first. pm me your no. and i'll let you know when we are at home. thanks. we are quite boring people. whole house black & white and everything squarish.
  10. Our reno is coming to its end and most things are taking shape now (except for a couple of hiccups which I'll elaborate later). Next week shall be another coat of painting, cleaning and fixing of defects if any. Meanwhile took some more pictures. (Pardon if they seems to appear before. ) Our Master Bedroom Toilet..... A closer look at the rain shower. The pressure is good. !! The vanity cabinet complete with mirror. The WC. Love it, just that it's a bit cramp. Our Common Toilet.... A simplier shower set. For guest use only. Basin and mixer. WC. Does it looks familiar. It's the same as the one in master bedroom toilet. Kitchen cabinet, the long side. Kitchen cabinet, the shorter side. A closer look at the hob and hood... and the oven. Hope that we will put it to good use. Sink and mixer tap. TV feature wall & console. There were some changes to the initial design. with lights on. Shoes cabinet with tinted mirror. We are still wondering if installing the mirror is a wise decision. There's still one set of pictures missing which is the bomb shelter feature wall. Supposed to installed the mirror on the same day but seems like there's some hiccups. saw the glue stain on the feature wall. So probably they took the wrong measurement or they broke the mirror.
  11. welcome! first to spam.
  12. not yet lah. she just moved in 1 month ago. shall wait n see lor. that time also drama. bcos we complained n complained, the contractor brought the tile supplier, the tiler n her boss to look at the problem. in the end, they came out with the conclusion that the dark colour is due to the tiles being not 'fully' dry. it will take 6 months for it to be completely dry. to be honest, sounds quite bull to me. but what to do, my aunt wanted to move in before qing ming.
  13. hi, my aunt (also staying in JM) recently did her reno and used granite too. she too had the same problem. complain, complain and complain also no use. the contractor can only say that the dark patches will go away with time, about 6 months! basically, they are not willing to re-tile as they said all granite are like that. in the end, as my aunt needed to move in, she accepted it but make the contractor put down in black and white that the dark patches will go off in 6 months in the gurantee letter. will your dark patches become very prominent when the tiles are wet?

  18. thanks. hey bro, how's your reno coming along. haven't seen you updating your blog. hi, the length is 740mm. can't remember the rest of the dimension. we brought it at $468 from Bellari. if you are interested, Royal Fanco carries pro sink of varying dimension and it's slightly cheaper. we didn't buy from RF bcos they run out of stock when we needed it. izzit??? hope to see your reno pics soon. saw your blog too. your reno is coming up nicely too. mine still left some minor capentry work, plumbing work and other minor touch up work. think should finish around the same time as yours. maybe you can have an exchange program by visiting each other's house.
