  1. Congrats on your new home..I agree with mrspiglet.I feel the house itself and the renovations looks quite new and good, especially the toilet. I like the way their ID has utilised the space between the pipes to build staorage shelves...May be some good ID has done the reno. But i agree with you on the bedroom platforms.Even i dnt like the concept of platforms. Anyway it is always nice to incorporate own ideas and renovate the house accordingly to get the full satisfaction and happiness. All the best for the upcoming renovations.
  2. The condition of flat is reasonably good. But according to me,COV $20,188 is really too high as of now. Is your unit a high level one? How much is the floor area? Anyway,Congrats on your new house. You are the one to stay there. So you should like it firstly..
  3. I am staying at 15th floor (top level) corner unit.We dnt feel hot.And its very windy throughout year. Can be due to N-S facing.Rooms are so bright that we dnt need to put lights at all during day.But mine is a new estate
  4. Think twice before saying SK/Punggol is more Ulu than CCK/YewTee.It takes around 20 min from Sk/PGL to reach dhobyghat. But from CCK/Yewtee it is more difficult to reach city.Come to Jurong first. Then change to EW line.Otherwise you have to come via woodlands which is also very far.If you have a car then no place is ulu.
  5. Hi all, I have laminated flooring for my whole house. Can see some strips started warping. Is it possible to fix back those strips or do i need to change the strips? How is the laminated strips laid?Is it with the help of glue? Thanks
  6. Can we install ceiling fan in bedrooms having raised timber platforms. Is there any restriction? Please advise
  7. We r planning to install ceiling fan with light attached for the living room and bedrooms of our resale flat. But two of our bedrooms have raised timber platform. Can we install celing fan? What are the restrictions that apply for installing ceiling fan?Is it true that topmost floors have high ceiling?Ours is top floor. Thanks a lot in advance
  8. Hi everyone, We bought a 4-room resale flat ( 85sqm) ard Hougang area. Its nicely renovated except for false ceiling. We r planning to have a false ceiling for the hall area.Hall has an L-shape because of bomb shelter fitting into the hall.Dnt have any idea of types of false ceiling and price ranges. Can anyone please advise on this matter? Thanks
  9. U dnt have to worry now thinking whether cash part is reasonable or not.Since you have already bought the house try to look into the positive aspects and be happy.Try to renovate your home as per your taste and movein happily.Even when i bought a house a couple of months back, people had varying opinions.I didnt care much because u cant make everyone happy. As long as me and my partner happy, things are fine. Now we feel good about the purchase and we will be moving next month. Most of us feel a bit confused initiallyafter purchase. So forget everythg now and be cheerful. Congrats and all the best
  10. U didnt say whether renovated or not.If renovated considering present trends and estate being Ang Mo kyo deal is reasonable
  11. Thanks. Well said.Even we were thinking of the same possibility. We contacted the agent. But he said that we have to pay the agent fee on the payment date mentioned in the invoice. That is 1st appointment. He said its the companys policy and formality. We told him that as buyers we are not happy to pay money initially when many formalities like inspections are not complete. He is telling us not to worry on such matters as he will be arranging everythg and will be with us till resale completion. We are not really convinced but it seems we may have to pay fee at 1st appointment. Anyways hope everythg goes well.
  12. Thanks.I will call and ask him.I think its more appropriate to pay at second ppointment
  13. Thanks a lot for the reply Actually we never appointed an agent. The seller's agent was helping us to negotiate and do the paper work. And our 1st appointment is coming in September. We got the invoice already from the realtor company for paying the agent fee.But we were under the impression that fee needs to be paid at 2nd appointment. We are a bit worried as how to pay before the transactions are complete
