  1. Ya lah so imagine my feeling...but apparently supplier say same stone. Maybe lighting when he sent the photo. Sianz but oh well. This was close to our original selection so be it lah.
  2. Thanks yes the original was a grey granite to fit the color scheme we have. Our sink is Top mount. We settled for a closed kitchen to ensure we will get the approval from HDB for the re-organisation of the floor plan layout. We love the lights too but now have to see after mounting whats the end effect.
  3. Well not sure if I'm right but the AC guy told me Daikin and Mitsuibishi Electric are the most reliable in market now but Mit is quieter in operation compared to the Daikin and well also a little cheaper on the pockets. So to me in the end not much diff so just settle and go ahead.
  4. Some Updates Our solid top are in today and we are left a little mixed with what we expected versus what we see installed. It's weird because this was somewhat our original selection and it wasn't enough so we swapped and then the end product came back something similar. Still good but a little unexpected I guess haha. Granite Top Taobao Lights We wanted something different for our common area for the second level since its a small area and traditional lighting are somewhat boring these days in SGP so we went ahead to customize 2 neon lights from TB seller and this is how it looks Let's see how our plumbing installation goes tomorrow. Kitchen mixers and MBR black rain shower and accessories. Before electrician team comes back on Thursday to complete the installations of remaining lights.
  5. No lah don't say that. Sorry about the typo... Suppose to be granite.
  6. Our solid top got installed today but didn't turn as white as expected after all. But we wanted granite so all is good as well just anti climax haha. Will update later with pics
  7. Nice and congrats. Got my fans from Matthews Diane, haiku and relite
  8. Haha they will get installed by the end of the week so let's see how they turn out haha Good part all came in tact and quality as expected whew....
  9. 3. Easiest cos cannot change with HDB this is a fixed positions because of the waste pipes for the whole block itself so no changing of position possible at all 1. We explored a lot of possibility with our current Reno for roofing as well and have been told HDB rejects all roofing except the tiled type these days. So basically all others are done without approval or when submitted will not be approved. Even now to level the balcony floor with the living room have to submit for approval and only specific materials can be used compared to the past so a lot of changes and more restrictions now. Told by our Id they did a project before with special glass roof but PE took over 6 months and the cost also in 5 fig so was definately a no go for us . For 2 I'm unsure so no comments. Hope this helps
  10. Well if you have intention to live in it long then I guess to treat it as an investment rather But this investment got no returns one lah haha
  11. Are you hacking the bathrooms too? Else it might be a really tight squeeze.
  12. We applied the permits about 2 weeks before with the agreement of our previous owner to apply but only start work after 2nd appt date. Yes we hacked the upper bathroom in our new place since only the kids will be using the upper level and with the lack of space we allocated the laundry machines upstairs as well. We love how it fits and the bathroom remains very spacious. As for hanging wise it would be either upstairs in our playroom when unused or in the wet area on lower level. A little hassle but you can't have the best of everything now can we
  13. Haha all our lights and TB loot came delivered over the weekend! We are all ready and set for our ID and her team to complete our job now. Well fast and furious? Not much of a choice when you know you have kids in tow and you only have 6 weeks to move out of your old place with no alternative accommodation keke. We planned this beginning 2 months ago haha making sure our ID is settled and all planned out for the big get go! Haha
  14. Well for the WC can remove and close it if you do not see much of a use for it. This way you don't have to sacrifice unwanted space and it get nicely hidden and tuck away. Well that's what we thought when we did it at our previous place but it came without a WC
  15. Can't wait too. Hope it looks good in our kitchen. Will be installed tomorrow yipee
  16. Thank you for kind words and can't wait to see yours as well Hope to have everything completed by end of Week 8:)
  17. Was in our ID mood board and it was I saw it I need it feel right way. Save all other areas but this must keep haha. But dame painful for sure. Well least now it paid off as we really like it too when it went up last week
  18. Congrats. Bathroom is one of the longest area I guess and next the WC as I see it's still very much a hole
  19. 4. We converted the utility room into the study instead of extending out the kitchen from our previous unit. So a choice has to be made if to sacrifice one of the common bedroom else the next best would be the utility room.
  20. 3. To extend kitchen out into utility is ideal but apparently in modern times may be hard to get approval from HDB as they dislike the idea of kitchen over an original room space. Some safety and fire hazard issue so may be tough to get approval for this conversion but worth a try because we did want to push out kitchen all the way to the front but ID mentioned surely rejected based on their past projects so we amended to have the panel to segregate a wet/dry kitchen concept so the fire is still concealed within the original kitchen space on Hdb floor plan.
  21. Laundry : something you can't do much as its very much part of the kitchen now. Only thing is to place your washing machine and dryer in the toilet which we did previously. Or alternatively, if you are dating enough to you could build a divider to separate the kitchen and actually design a service "yard" laundry area but will send a you have in mind as well. Because the more re spacing you do the higher the cost adds up due to the extra materials and work and hacking.
  22. Bro the tiles are built such that it should not leaked. We had one in our previous place as well and it never leaked so if done correctly it should be ok and if no then it's time to find our ID haha
