I'm thinking to use this area for first-aid/medicine box, dettol sprays (for our fabric sofa) and other misc items. hehehe. The mirror is excellent for last-check before leaving house! hehehe more space is better than no space ma If you need a good space for shoes, why not? If you don't have that many shoes, can always use part of it as storage space. Build those adjustable shelving. Thank you Kara! It's not that I have a lot of shoes (at least for now lol) but our parents' place always don't have proper shoe cabinet. No need to stack / pile shoes already! Wheeee~~~ As we didn't do any built-in carpentry in the other 2 bedrooms, the right side of this will be great for some additional storage TV Feature Wall & Console We wanted something simple & sleek... The middle 2 sections are flip-and-tuck doors. Forget to take photo of how it looks like with all drawers closed. Carpentry Updates All the carpentry were already up when we visited last Sunday ! This week, electricians will be there to fix up those lighting points & switches that's attached to the cabinets. Our Blanco sink that was being delayed has finally arrived at HoeKee warehouse yesterday. They will deliver it today and my ID will help us to receive it, and he can finally get the iQuartz people to come measure the counter top & proceed with fabrication. DB Box Cabinet's Doors HDB gave us DB box cabinet's doors that is 1-side big & 1-side small like this I think they did that because our main door's metal arm (don't know what it's called... that black thing on top of the door) will hit it if the door is even. But it's such an eye-sore to me to have uneven doors. Our very nice ID Mr.B helped us to change it to 4 even doors and laminate it with the same laminate as our shoe-cabinet to match it Mirror Cabinet Our unit have a small weird recessed beside our main door. No idea for what Initially based on looking at the floor plan, we want to just seal it up with a mirror. However, after we collected our keys and went to see our place, we realized this recessed is actually quite deep. To seal it off seems a bit wasted. So we decided to add shelves inside it and made it a cabinet

Yes CHRISTMAS is the best time of the year for me & my hubby! The atmosphere is always so full of joy, love & peace! Too bad my place will be ready too close to Christmas... only can party by ourselves at new crib with boxes lying around i think hahaha

On Site - 05.12.2015 (Saturday) Yesterday was the most eventful & crowded day! ID Met Mr. B to go through some final carpentry details & upcoming week's schedule. Kingsley Curtains Recommended by one of my new neighbors. Met them for the first time. They came to take measurements & gave us exact quote. They also brought along lots of fabrics catalog for us to choose. Very good service & price! Felt very comfortable with them & went ahead to do our day/night curtains & Roman blinds with them. These are our fabric choices: Aircon Installation Gain City's 2nd trip to install our aircon units. They were really experienced, fast & efficient! Here's one of the room unit: All other units were covered up before I remember to take photo Door Guy He came to touch up on our WIW's door + install a metal pelmet at our kitchen sliding door to cover up the ugly tracks behind. Carpenter We thought the carpenter will only come back next Tuesday to continue the work. Very pleasantly surprised that he was around when we arrived. Best part: he completed all our carpentry works yesterday! Photos soon So yesterday our place was buzzing with activities! Very happy that everything are coming together!

Hi Changbp, yup laminate skirting refer to those brown color thing that line the bottom of the wall. I'm not sure can you just overlay with new laminates over it. Maybe you can check with your contractor/ID? My ID throw in the skirting as complimentary item for me because we did our whole house's flooring with him... so not sure how they charge. Lazyfatcat007, thank you for the compliment! Mine is Dark Walnut color on Medium Density Fiber Wood. I didn't manage to take photo of the brand & box though. Not sure have they threw it away.
