  1. Had the same consideration before. I "fixed" my aircon and ceiling fan remotes on the wall just beside the switches light switches.
  2. Sure, just post the pics when u have time. I suppose it's easy for elderly to use and HDB approved? How much does it cost?
  3. Can post the pictures of this drop hanger in action? Can it be swung out of the window?
  4. I got this broom/mop holder leftover from one of my earlier Tmall purchases which i have yet to put up. I preferred not to put holes in my service yard wall anymore and since there is a dead space beside the washer i designed an enclosure for it. Mount this on a standard drawer slider and I could have it slide out to retrieve the broom when needed and slide it back into the enclosure to keep the dust out. The narrow gap at the top is where the stick end of the broom would stick out leaving the dirty bristles inside and out of sight. Its a strange shape, not a rectangle as it needs to conform to the wall on its left and and the washer/ikea algot brackets on its right as it fits the space between the washer and the service yard wall. The top Inclined slope is to avoid the ikea algot bracket. The bottom step is meant to avoid the wall tile skirting. Its probably hard to imagine whats going on without seeing the real thing in place. A picture of the innards should help with some imagination. With the door open. I double, triple checked the dimensions. Hopefully i did not miss anything. If it's wrong my wallet's screwed!. Will be sending this model out for fabrication next week. Should be able to picture the service yard with this before Xmas.
  5. Yes, but when i think about it, orchard roads shopping mall Xmas lights/trees are up already too (seems to be there even before deepavali was over). Btw, I got the Algot fixed up. I kept it simple so that it won't look messy... At least not in the photo
  6. It's solidworks. It's actually more for mechanical design. You could do better with some other software meant for interior designers.
  7. @brightsun, was preparing for the onslaught at 11.11 taobao sales and I found the link for the bathroom mirror. here it is attached. https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=18320682022&sku_properties=21433:20213
  8. 24k is just for the kitchen and the kitchen bathroom? Master bedroom bathroom not included? Im just doing some budgeting for my parents home Reno.
  9. So you joined the WC and the bath in the kitchen to make it a bigger? whats the cost like for your Reno if it is just the kitchen and bathrooms (incl masterbedroom one)? I have another place to do which is of almost exact same scope without bedroom and living room.
  10. It's a bit early... But No presents under the tree yet. Cozy cozy.
  11. Thanks! So it's Kraus. That explains the price, convert to sgd plus shipping is . i'm gathering ideas for my overhaul of my parents kitchen and bathrooms, i like your kitchen, clean lines and very airy. Especially the way the sink couples with the cabinets. Though its out of my budget.
  12. Iirc, I paid HDB 3k for 4 poor quality, overpriced semi solid laminate doors during BTO booking many years back. And that it is done by which door company? What is the wood type and how was the color achieved? Sprayed or Stained?
  13. The louvre door. How much does it cost? I'm thinking of doing one for my Mbr bath door. im also thinking of replacing all my HDB provided doors too but not to standard ones that you see off a door catalog. I have specific designs.
  14. The sink looks really cool. Where did you get it from and Do you have some close up of the front? btw, I remember you previously had issue with the subway tile corner. How did that turn out?
  15. If you dump veg/meat/food into the sink while preparing them, ensure the food don't contact the sink if you use the polish. Msds for the polish attached. http://www.uww.edu/riskmanagement/msds/data/3m_brand_liquid_stainless_steel_cleaner_and_polish_3m_6.21.10.pdf
  16. Hi @brightsun, Unfortunately all the links that I used 65daigou to purchase in the past had been wiped off.
  17. Just for the service yard invis grills I mean... Because of the bulky frame needed it does not look airy and defeats the purpose. Might as well go for thin rod version of Normal grills.
  18. Finally!!! I got myself jailed in. My service yard now feels 100% smaller than before. to be honest I really regretted doing vertical lines and even more so regretted doing invisible grilles for the service yard. At least I can start doing up my cleaning zone, dry pantry and laundry zones all in this petite area (I think it's 2x1.2m) with 2 verticle pipes. Need to explore the tricks on how the Japanese squeeze different functional stuff together and yet look uncluttered.
  19. Good choice for the Ikea butcher blocks. aircon pipe laying to the just beside the drain seems to be some industry standard/regulation I'm not sure how resistant the laminate is but generally Matte white may more be difficult to maintain then gloss white.
  20. i always remove clothes when I cook. I don't think oil will reach the laundry area which is quite far as long as your hood is well maintained. Change the carbon filters half yearly and deoil the steel mesh often.
  21. I recommend that you have 2 bedside tables to keep the symmetry.
