  1. Newnyew: no worries, can let me know anytime if you want the contacts. I bought most of my furniture & curtains from JB though. BBron, that is an interesting quick fix for bread 'sandwich' but I don't like tuna. keke I prefer the sushi with crab salad more like it.
  2. Wow, I can't wait to see the transformation! Yeak must be so happy you give him a fat cheque for the first payment to work it out on your lovely home. I'm sure your home will be swee swee. Newnyew, you can buy lightings/fans from JB also. If you looking out for furniture from & curtains from JB, I can recommend you this furniture shop & my curtain lobang from JB. Furniture wise, its of decent quality worth the money paid (They stock several brands) but if you aiming for classy looking furniture, you might consider OM, Lorenzo that sort.
  3. Nowdays got durian puffs, durian crepes. Nothing aint impossible like this.
  4. Wah! Your house is really nice including the kitchen as well. Just curious, the plants in the MBR bathroom and common bathroom are real or not? If so, wouldn't it be a bit of a problem with no sunlight and water considering that the areas are all wet areas?
  5. that's cool. A open concept house like a studio apartment?
  6. Kekeke, i think its the fun of doing stuff one just found out what one can do. For me, its more like "wow" it feels good baking and the euphoria of trying it out
  7. Wah, that's alot of hacking leh. Going to make it a open concept or would there be new walls built?
  8. I have a small book on finger food which is more like quick fixes to party food within a short time for parties or dinners. And some recipes for chinese dessert though. Haven't even tried them out yet.
  9. I think my collection is more? I have a thick folder of cake/cupcake/cookie/dessert recipes collected from other sources + 2 cake books+ 2 cupcake books + 1 cookie book? But haven't done every recipe listed yet. Still at cheesecake stage of trying to get it right
  10. Wah the doggie decals are so cute. It would be even cuter to put in the bedroom as well. Doggie land lalala.
  11. :P Oh yeah, u know there's one more thing to complete the pastry party besides food & pastry is dessert! Wonder anyone else can do dessert? Bhavarian cream, mousse, parfaits? I'm thinking about dessert on whether i shld try learning to do dessert since I got several collected dessert recipes.
  12. Thank goodness I just ate a slice of chocolate rice cake keke. But i think neighbourhood bakeries cakes are not so tasty even with the cream piled on. Too dry in my opinion. For the better bakeries, at least the cakes aren't that dry. Yum yum, i want to eat cupcakes.
  13. Easy leh, Can divide into 4 parts (1KG) with 1 different type of fruit, just like pizza with individual toppings on 4 parts in a circle. Its the arrangement part that would require fruits to be place differently. Everyone can be happy already.
  14. Ah I see! No wonder. ID drawing is kinda taxing actually. I think if become ID, sure have alot to meet people's demands. After seeing merryman's and your explanation, I get the idea already. Which part of me is cute? I try making another cheesecake in a couple of weeks later, I recently got another type of cheesecake recipe from my mum's friend. Will try that out when I've perfected yours. keke
  15. Wow newnyew, are you an ID? Cos for this kind of drawing, laymen with the exception of IDs, architects, engineers will know how to do drawings based on the scale ruler. *grins* Yeah drawing is time consuming esp in ID drawing cos it is done with precise lines. Btw the chinese phrase, erm well my chinese fail so I don't quite catch the meaning but the prince is kinda very young why would he need a mistress??
  16. Looks good. I always see this building whenever I am on the MRT. And the kitchen, bathroom looks new. You save the money better for your other renovation works since those are pretty good.
  17. Unless you are referring to epoxy. Epoxy is something like paint for tiles but u would need a professional to do it cos epoxy is not easy to apply compared to the usual kind of paint plus it is not cheap but not pricey compared to redoing a toilet completely
  18. Newnyew's method for the waterbath is also another way if have two racks actually Otherwise, the method for the waterbath I used is sufficient for 1 rack (small oven) It depends on your baking needs :notti:
  19. Yes its true, buttercream is kinda sticky thats why Hmm bananas will enhance the flavour but making muffins moist, this one I'm not sure but it shldn't be the main problem? Is it the oven temperature problem? I can't really tell what could have been the main problem through here.
  20. You got time to practice for muffins. I'm sure your muffins are tasty as well
  21. That's because the pan for cheesecake is either a springform pan with removable bottom with lockable sides or just a pan with just a removable bottom. So its better to wrap the pan in aluminium foil so that water will not seep in. Water will definitely 'spoil' the cheesecake texture. You can google for pictures of a sprinform pan with a metal lock on the side. The lock in place is to lock the side together until the cheesecake is cooled and done, then can unlock and the sides of the cheesecake will still be good without needing a knife to cut round the sides to remove the cake from a normal pan (no removable bottom or lockable sides) I've never done a pudding before so can't answer for this.
  22. Will try baking the cheesecake again to get that crumbly and dense taste pat down 100%. That day was so last minute to get digestive biscuits so figured I use oreo as a temporary substitute first. I guess the taste of the whole thing is probably 60% to the original taste with the substitutes. BBron ah, newnyew is the shi fu for cheesecakes. My cheesecake attempt no where as good as hers. Must try harder
  23. Wow, you got a good deal for the side tables. I think OM don't want to lose customer like this but it is good that you were firm about rejecting the first set though. I like the look of the side tables, how deep is the drawer?
