Oh piggiedearz's canopy is not plaster but wood? Its kinda strange that countrylover's carpenter cannot do it, but never mind, decoration will do the trick. Another alternative is to have those kinda open shelfs with rails like the open shelves posted earlier on, as another option for putting condiments or sauces attached to the canopy where the skirting is supposed to be? Some country styles have similar english version for this.

You never know le, cantona7. Things there are quite cheap & best is buy alot of stuff there for less too. Last time I went BKK on my first trip, we brought a bag with us but end up bringing 2 bags back. So on the 2nd trip recently, we brought 2 bags & come back with 2 bags stuffed with so many things to the brim. Scared that the bags would exceed the maximum weight also.
-
Ah so complicated! Maybe you can consider mossaic as skirting or trimming at the edge of the canopy & maybe decorate the middle of the canopy with ribbons, those kind suitable for your country style theme? I think this will do the trick.
-
Enjoy yourselves on the BKK trip. Bon Voyage ppl! Bluberi, me really an insensitive sotong my apologies

Can see that le, Yuki is so lucky. Next time meet up again & I go play with your yuki? Anyway may not bring summer out for another doggie session again cos summer move back to my PIL's place. He had seizures not so long ago which was kinda scary though cos the vet did say any more seizure could have killed him if we didn't bring him to the vet in time. So cannot have too much excitement for him as well He's definitely happier being at my PIL's place since he stay with my parents in law for a long time before he came to stay with us. Plus he dun encounter anymore seizure. You should take Yuki for a med check up every then and now to make sure she's healthy esp when Yuki turns 4-5 yrs old cos a dog's lifespan is less than 8-10 yrs. Btw, im baking butter cookies in the shape of chip n' dale. Will post the pics for you to see later when its done.

your babies might be coming out early in sept? Your babies will be born smaller than full term babies as most premature babies are very small. So do rest more and dun stress, let your hb stress more on the reno la.

I think it is odd that the carpenter cannot do the curvy outline for the canopy like piggiedearz's since I notice that there are alot of curved carvings on your drawers & the top cabinet doors with the top holes with curve somemore. If can do curves, why not? Perhaps you can show them the pic piggiedearz posted in here?

Why Do Man Keep Mistress Or Girlfriends After Marriage?
BunBun replied to Cantona7's topic in Wedding & Travel
Very 'creative' leh you, cantona7 I think every case is kinda subjective based on the perception of others. There's just 'No' or 'Why' for it. Choices are what we make on our own entirely. So there's no way we can push the blame to others for the circumstances or the situation that has been created based on the choices made. Naturally dissatisfaction and unhappiness turns out because men are not able to make the best of everything they're given. It's just whether that resolution is firm enough to withstand the time of test for marriage. -
Hey greycat, long time no see u around here! Can see that you and brownmse adore yuki loads based on what you've been doing with Yuki.
-
Im waiting also for pix pix pix~!! kekeke

Yuki's blog is in greycat's signature, beside the wedding pic. Can see that? You would need to prepare the buttercream too. Without buttercream, it is not considered as cupcakes actually. There are many types of recipe for cupcakes, can google for vanilla cupcakes as this is the most basic cupcake recipe for beginners

haha what a discussion scenerio between you and your wtb. You can discuss with roy on what kind of theme you and your wtb want to aim for. Most impt ask him for some good ideas since an ID is there to offer ideas and solutions. If im you, i would choose a dark colour like dark brown, grey or black cos sure can see hair on the floor if the tiles is white or off white. Would require more maintenence to keep the hse clean. Ya you can move in before the carpentry is up. It'd save you the hassle of finding a storage solution for your things too. Just lock up the room which you can put all your things in when the room floor & lighting is done.
-
If you and your wtb want to move in quickly, the place need to have lighting, flooring, water heater installed & of course the electricity & water accounts turned on. Other than that, you need to prepare broom, dustpan, vacuum cleaner, mop and cleaning detergents on standby since your place will get dirty alot during reno during the stay in ma. That's what we did when we moved in to my current place with no furniture, with our things locked up in another room during our basic reno

I also wonder where Greycat went to but it seems Yuki's blog is more updated though. Wonder when we can get another encore cupcake session?

I have laminated flooring for the whole place except the wet areas. IMHO, If you have pets or kids while they're still young & not toilet trained, its advisable not to do laminate flooring for the whole place. Maybe limit it to rooms. 'Cos you can't be around 24 HOURS a day to check for any pee spots by your pet which means the edges of the laminate can swell a little bit which isn't nice if you're not able to clean it up in time. Secondly, the weather issue, if you dun have a habit of closing the windows before you leave your place, you have higher chances of rain coming in & spoiling the laminates faster. Even if you're outside and the weather is looking good but does not mean it will remain good the whole time. Weather is the most unpredictable. Other than that, maintaining the flooring is relatively easy & a whole lot cheaper compared to having tiles.

Again, the tax levy is dependent on the value of the furniture you bought. This is what I understand. Secondly if you intend to get most of the furniture from JB required for your place, the total costs is still worth it even more. Because if you calculate the costs spent in sg for the same no of furniture you get in sg will easily be around 10sgd max which will be around the same spent in malaysia except it is in ringgit currency. That is half the price you could get in sg currency for getting most of your furniture from JB. So the tax + transport levy will be calculated based on that value which would still be much more worth it based on the currency exchange rate. Even if you get a lorry, you will have to pass customs at the sg checkpoint & declare the total value of your furniture on your own which means you will be paying the tax levy in SGD not in RM there besides rental of lorry + fuel costs. That sounds a good buy looking at miva's products from their website.

Hi sgpeace, I would think it is not advisable to have 2 sets in the kitchen, meaning it will be a waste of $$ to pay for both citygas & electricity. Vitroceramic is easy to use, just plug in the electrical socket for the vitroceramic hob before using. There will be instruction manual that will come with the vitroceramic hob. It just depends on whether the vitroceramic hob in qn is an analog or digital type as the buttons or switches on it will differ. As for installation, if getting gas by citygas, it will have to be done through citygas. But for vitroceramic hob, you can check with the shop if they can install it for you or get an electrician to configure the electrical point for the hob so that you can switch on the hob. In my case, the electrician did the switch configuration for the hob.

Indesit is cheaper than ariston but not nearly as good as ariston though. That's what the mayer guy said to us. Personally I think the metal frame for ariston 2 vitro hob is quite ok & blends well with the surface top. The gas burner type stands out more compared to the vitro hob for sure which you can take heart so dun worry.
