  1. Wah seh... how many clothes you have??? Post pics of your wardrobe with your clothes in pleaseeee. lolx quote name='May_dream1' timestamp='1304092591' post='633906'] Wait till I finish unpacking. I think it's not enough for all my clothes though.
  2. WAH SEH.. your wardrobe is HUGE man. Good enough for 1-2 person to store lots of clothes. But reno is going well for you.
  3. Wow become a FS discussion now - really cannot catch up with the thread already. Mae, seriously, the place ur sis want to get is looking good! If me, I also want as in very good reno condition but FS wise, I'm not sure though as I'm not good with following FS directions. Last time I stayed in AMK where I rented this room in one of the older estates with bigger floor area. However, during that period of renting the room, things didn't go well for me and my hubby. We both had issues most of the time but after moving to our current place, everything is quite peaceful for us after that. I remarked to my hubby, it must be the energy of that room affecting us at that time.
  4. Froggy SHIFU~!!!!! I can relinquish the Baking Queen to you de! Your baking/deco skills so good - really makes me drool over the cakes, even I'm paiseh to go post my stuff. Marshy: The cheesecake is the one based on Newnyew's recipe but with my personal modification. Decoration wise, the previous pic of my cheesecake 2 years ago is closest to the way Newnyew's deco was done & yes its all peach in her deco as well. Except her peach slices are thinner, mine is thicker. The mango addition was just an improvision on my part in the recent pic
  5. wow, GOLD ah! Real or not? Don't say its just gold plated. Must be 100% gold. Marshy: Not yet, MOP not even up yet but somewhat considering whether to downgrade or not cos current place is a little too big for me and my hubby + 1 dog. Housework wise, maintenance is a little tiring 'cos we both are working and can only do chores on weekend when we can.
  6. Haha, you all so cute. Got even a 'deh' course. But at the end of the course, got what kind of cert for graduation????
  7. No wonder. The new outlook feels a little strange to me haha. I guess I'm too used to the old look. ^_^ If he does set up a new firm, I may consider him if I move house later in the future, provided he is still around hehe
  8. Wah, the RT forum changed? I must be slow in catching up. Mae: So sad to hear your ID left the company under poor circumstances. A company's best asset is its HUMAN RESOURCES which is the employees themselves. They contribute to the growth through their efforts and sweat, bringing in the $$$ for the company too. Without them, the customers will never go to them. It's that company's BIG loss to lose a responsible ID. Personally, through this forum, there is greater awareness and pictures tell a thousand words and many stories which reflects the ID/Contractor firm positively or negatively. This ID company has poor attitude sia. You should tell your ID to start a business of his own and you can even recommend customers to him including the forummers here who will also benefit from his customer service attitude/responsiveness.
  9. Wow thread moves fast. Made cheesecake again with mango rose and peach deco. http://img826.imageshack.us/i/photo0249v.jpg/ http://img534.imageshack.us/i/photo0250tu.jpg/
  10. Hi all, I was wondering if I should check with the HDB branch in charge of maintenance, etc to get a copy of the key from their HDB contractor as I lost the key today and there is no spare key for the grill gate. This particular key, I've tried to get it duplicated before I lost the key, is a little hard to duplicate that is why there is no spare key for it. In addition, I do not want to change the lock though. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
  11. Hmm.. i not sure but ipad2 already announced today, going to stakeout for one this month soon if it reaches malaysia. tee hee
  12. The green ones are bigger than apples and the ones you referring to. It's also easy to tell when mango is soft, just press the mango and see if it is soft slightly - its ripe already. The thai mangoes are okay but if you want a sweeter taste, green skin mangoes are better! As long as the cheesecake taste fine, its not a problem with the surface. Alternatively, you can get puree (sweet or unsweetened) from Phoon Huat. They do sell them in 400g and I think they have the bigger sizes as well. When I see brown surface on cheesecakes, I think of those japanese cheesecakes u know what i mean and this sort of whets the taste appetite for cheesecakes
  13. Don't feel paiseh, I also started out with not so nice cupcakes in the begining before I progressed to cakes, Till now, my piping skills are still not good cos I haven't had time to practice as its on and off due to work and other commitments. So don't worry. About the mangoes, yellow skin mangoes are not fantastic if you want to use for puree IMHO. I bought a few yellow skin mangoes before thats why I know this! You should choose the green skin mangoes as my family home has a mango tree which grows round green skin mangoes, not the oval yellow skin mangoes you see outside - the ones from thailand etc. The mangoes which are grown at home, normally the mangoes are left outside for a few days to 'ripen' after plucking them as they will taste sweeter by then. I can attest to it myself personally having eaten them alot since young. The flesh of the mango when you cut open should have a orange colour, thats when they are sweet. Cheesecake baking in oven, you should monitor your cheesecake after 1 hr to keep checking on the surface. Actually your chesecake surface looks okay to me. if you looked at my cheesecake pics, the one with peaches have a medium to dark brown surface. Other than that, good work for your 1st attempt! You can continue to learn through trial and error like us.
  14. Ikea has? I didn't see this. Mine is the Supre brand, think it belongs to the 20++ cost since it was my hubby who bought it.
  15. Me as consultant? No la, I'm not qualified 'cos still an amateur at baking. Even my piping skills are lacking in alot of ways since I don't bake frequently. The only good thing I'm good at is baked cheesecake partly because I kept trying so many times to perfect the baked cheesecake version. LOL! Ironic hor? I never eat cheesecake much last time, much less bake one also. I can only answer with my limited knowledge in baking though
  16. Some cheese recipes does not call for waterbath while others require waterbath. As long as waterbath is mentioned in the recipe, you just need to follow recipe and sometimes can adapt to your liking.
  17. There is also a flat bottom wok for induction hobs too. I happen to have one for my vitroceramic hob actually.
  18. I wouldn't advise on not baking without a water bath as it will dry up the cheesecake in the oven - you won't find it good then A water bath is meant to ensure the temperature is even in the oven and enable the cheesecake not to dry up. Otherwise, you might consider going for a no bake cheesecake instead.
  19. You can use the pan you mention - I have a few pans with removable bottoms in smaller sizes and 2 springform pans in bigger sizes but have hardly used the springform pans for my cheesecakes 'coz too big and need to find a suitable tray to put the pans in it. You need to wrap the bottom with aluminium foil to prevent water going in - you don't want a soft bottom cheesecake
  20. LOL no le, just a mushy form of calling each other Better use spoon to mix the biscuit and butter, as long as butter 'disappear' or absorbed by the biscuits, it is already mixed.
  21. Froggy: I see, thanks for the tip1 My nick ah, no la its an endearing nick between me and my other half It can be also short form for BUNNY! Rondy: 2 years only - can still remember we talk alot about food in here. Marshmallow: the photos was posted 2 years ago, think photobucket does not keep pics for long considering it is a free application. I don't cut the cheese to cubes, I just dump the whole block of cheese. I think it is the mill, you got to check and see if can mince food ingredients before you attempt to use digestive biscuits in it. For butter part, no don't need mixer or blender. Just mix the melted butter with the crushed biscuits till you don't see any sign of butter liao.
  22. Froggy, Thanks! The choc, is melted choc right? From outside into the centre. If you arrange from centre out, have to make a circle fomation with the peach slices like a rose bud fomation - but the peach slices have to be thinly sliced so that can hold up till you finish outward.. Newnyew's slices were thin compared to my thick peach slices.
