  1. Btw, wanted to update on my Dekton countertop. A bit of cigarette ash fell on the countertop and I wrapped it up with a paper twoel not realising that it was still smoldering. When I came back 10 mins later the paper towel had been completely burnt (only ashes left). When I checked the counter top, there was a small burnt mark there which I rubbed off using just normal water. I examined the top very closely and could not find any marks at all. So, I was suitably impressed by the quality (not happy about the person who left the cigarette ash though...)
  2. So the company has agreed to change the table and give me a new one. But as they have to make it, I have to wait another three months. In the meantime, I can go ahead and use the original table they sent me. But, until I get my new table, I will not consider the case resolved yet.
  3. As promised, this is a picture of my mbr. http:// No pictures of my dining room yet coz I'm having some issues with my dining table. I'm trying to resolve it so I won't go into that yet, but if the company refuses to rectify the problem, I'll post it here for all of you to judge.
  4. Thank you very much Yakult and ricepapergirl. Honestly all credit must go to my ID. He came up with the design and did a good job making it reality.
  5. Thank you very much trcd! Yup, I told my id that if I stop going to work, it'll be his fault for doing such a good job. I'll pm you the company and quotation.
  6. Thank you Catt! Bykaranne, it's actually small, really. It looks big because it's open concept. And the camera angle helps too.
  7. I managed to get some shots tonight in between the move. Pls forgive the camera work. Not very good... Living room. First shot is with all the lights on. Second shot is a more romantic feel haha. Actually this is the type of ambience I want when I'm watching tv. http:// http:// Kitchen next. http:// Next is my mbr bathroom. Hard to get everything in, so I split it up into shower area and the vanity. http:// http:// Here's a teaser shot of my mbr. http:// And a teaser shot of my dining room. http:// Will post more photos soon.
  8. Thanks GoldieG, Mannequin and ricepapergirl. Since I'll start staying over at my new place from Sat, the photos should be up soon. Mannequin, I'll pm you.
  9. Annnnd my reno is done! I don't have pictures yet coz I've been busy moving but I just wanted to chronicle this moment. My ID handed the keys back to me this afternoon. It's been a long journey - 1 Apr to 1 Sep, but it was really quite painless. Some of the delay was my fault coz I changed some parts of the design halfway but some of it was due to my id being very fussy about getting things just right. Also, I did tell him to take his time and do a good job. As I said, it was relatively painless and I have to credit my id. He really handled everything. Whenever I had any issues I just told him about it and he fixed it. I'm still moving so I'll keep this short. I'll be posting pictures very soon and I will give a fuller review of my id. But the short summary for now is - yes, I'll recommend him.
  10. Thanks Catt. You're place is also shaping up very well.
  11. Thanks pankponk. Credit has to go to my ID. He thought about it and decided to add he mosiac. I leave all creative decisions to him.
  12. If these painters are from your contractor, it should be him doing the pushing I feel. Should not be you doing it. Just to check, what sort of water heater are you using for your shower? Storage or electric water heater? Also, is it rain shower or hand shower? These could have some effect on your water pressure.
  13. Nothing major has been going on. I'm into the final stages of my reno and I am now getting my ID to touch up things. The only major thing that has happened is that he decided my kitchen walls were a bit bare and so decided to jazz it up with leftover mosiac which was used for my mbr bathroom. The below are the pics. I like it as I think it adds a bit of pizzaz to the kitchen. http:// Oh yah, my rainshoweer in the mbr has also finally been installed. This is what it looks like. The pressure is strong and the waterfall effect is really shiok. So looking forward to using it. http:// And last but not least, got my dining chairs on National Day. Took me awhile to decide on them as they were not the cheapest ones around. I did look for cheaper options, but the quality of the cheaper chairs was not very good and the finishing is also not quite up to par. So I bit the bullet and went to get the chairs from Home to Life. http://
  14. I'm quite lucky. There's an accessible pokestop at the kitchen of my new place and I have three pokestops I have access to right from my desk at my office.
