Carpentry works started today.... So excited, hopefully wed can post some nice pic here... The mess....... Top cabinet r a wasted as the beam is too protrude for them make any storage space.... Laminate design for most of my living room, but main colour in white...

Went up today aftn and was surprise to see that my window grills were up... Ask ID abt it this morn but he say will arrange, but yet the grills r up liao he also dunno Was struggling with the colour initially. Juz becoz both me n my wife dun like our grills to be in brown, we chose silver. But as the HDB windows r in brown, we really cant imagine what will be the outlook then, but still we 'dare dare' go ahead with the silver.... Luckily.... they look good!

Our area have to use our own haulage contractor...n it will be higher price than HDB. Initially was adv by my ID to use HDB contractors, but when we call them, HDB say they dun provide anymore as this area is more than 5 years since TOP..... unlike others new estate which have a permanent contractor there. So no choice we use our ID's haulage that cost us $1500 He did tell us honestly that thru them we indeed have to pay more as their co have to charge more.

Hmm what I can say is in the progress of a reno will definitely got some hiccup eh.... there r circumstances whereby I am not so satisfy with my ID, but sometimes both parties have to give n take a bit lor, 'qing cai' lah If there r some works I am not happy with, juz give him a call n he will get the workers to rectify. But generally, he did a good job in responding to my 'nonsense' hahaha. So far I am happy with him. Abt ID, still think that most importantly is the owner can click with the ID individually. I may work with him happily but he may not suit ur style mah. Honestly I dun care abt Radac, it is juz a 'middleman' organization for us if we got any complaints... Anyway, company in Radac may not be good also, juz go n read some thread in this forum...

R u looking 4 'real' marble or 'counter' marble? Real marble r more ex... U can diff it by touching on it n feel cool or normal temp, if its cool then its real one... I juz bought one 4 $700 with 4 chairs...

Sometimes 3D drawings and reality r rather far apart leh... my concept and theme r quite similar to ur 3D drawings... the colours I chosen r also quite similar to ur 3D colours... But the outcome may not be as what u expect leh... maybe I dunno how to match??

Haiz... a bit sian leh... juz went up yesterday n saw my new paint... not so satisfy... not so nice as what I expect... except for my son's room in blue... My dark grey too dark... light grey too light.... both grey doesnt match... Rooms too yellow... hopefully will look more impressive after the 2nd coat..... Dinning area... upcoming feature wall in white on the right Living room....sorry for the poor image My altar table will be on this wall... MBR... colour chosen by my ID... The only colour I am happy with...
