  1. What if something cock up, r u willing to make the trip back there? Warranty?
  2. I repeat, AVOID CO'ZY, AVOID JANET!!!! They are very active at expo, and very persistant. I'm surprised they are still using 'janet has left the company trick'!! Somehow, they will screw up, especially design and delivery date, almost ruined my an-chuang ceremony last year. Spread the words to other forum pls.
  3. Contact UK from Bosz creation. Do a search for the website. U need to provide him with the design, he has the plotter and frosted decal and customize for you.
  4. Bump up this thread to prevent more people from falling victim.
  5. Nope they did not mention any warranty for the bed.
  6. Just finished my reno with them (sign up with them before i read this thread). Did a wardrobe, bedframe with mattress, my 2 baywindow cushion tops. To summarize my experience: Gave wrong advise on the wardrobe internal layout, color etc. that caused us to make several wasted trips there. Baywindow measurement was correct at point of taking, however factory came back with a wrongly made cushion top. was told on the last 2 days (where due delivery date was on the 13th May) that the wardrobe was not ready in time and needed to be postponed to another week. In this piece of information came only when we enquired for the delivery time of the wardrobe. Ridiculous coordination regarding delivery, design etc in between their departments. Design dept dunno anything on the delivery time and vice versa. I guess the bedframe size is pretty standard and no measurement is done. They did measurements for the bay window cushions and wardrobe. Conclusion: Stay away from them. They are very active in expo shows. DO NOT be tempted by their sales talk! The only consolence is that their workmanship is pretty good. They did state the delivery time and they arrived at the stipulated time.
  7. Thanks applefreak, will pay robinsons a visit soon
  8. Anyone knows where to find nice looking string curtains with some beads/crystal attached? Im not looking for those acrylic types (retro looking) or common plain types. Im looking for plain types but with crystal/beads attached and classy looking? Ran around several places but still cant find.. sigh..
  9. Hi, im looking to buy a nice 'Xin Jing' (scripture) to frame and hang but cant seems to find any. Help appreciated if anyone can provide some clues. Cheers.
  10. Pioneer 42" kuro plasma (around 3400) is no doubt nice, but i cant get over the fact that im not getting a full 1080p full HD panel. But for the price, i can buy a 50" samsung full HD plasma (P9?). Best bet, wait for the IT show in early March.
  11. I bought their Zanobi sofa, very plush and comfy, full leather, for around $2800+. http://www.mondilifestyle.com.sg/ Bought it at their IFC branch during their 10% off store opening sale 2 weeks back. Luckily never commit at their furniture mall branch which was not having sale. I think the sale ended already. IFC has lots of nice sofa sets, do take a look at the various shops. Really spoilt for choices. International Furniture Centre 62 Sungei Kadut Loop http://www.ifcsingapore.com/
  12. Do note that HDMI will most likely become the standard of connectivity (think USB) thus u might consider it for future proof. HDMI reduces **** lot of cables. Pay KEC a visit cos they have different packages to cater for different budgets. I am no way related to them, just sharing my findings cos im getting my HT also in this coming march. Remember to check out their $80 package which includes delivery, cable and a few home visits to advise, tune, install, connect, troubleshoot etc. Remember to do it before your false ceilings/L-boxes are up cos they need to deliver the cables to you, if u r doing a new reno. What i think it is very worth it cos the cable costs already quite alot if you purchase them outside yourself, and they are giving better cables, not those transparent type (which will turn sticky i a year time) or those red/blue type. For 1k. Onkyo sr605 (around $700). 2x micro pod speakers (around $130 a piece) http://www.podspeakers.com/Products/Micropod_SE.aspx Stretch abit and get 5 x micro pod for 5.1. Cute and nice, but i have not auditioned them at KEC. U can buy lower range speakers for your rear surround if need to cut cost. Cheers and happy shopping.
  13. Go KEC located at adelphi. Go for the onkyo sr605 (around $700) with genie 5.1 speakers (1.5k). Look for clarence for advise and audition. He very fiendly. I suggest get a used receiver (with HDMI), and buy a better speakers instead. 1k difficult cant do much, except those HTib. I would prefer to go a good stereo first (2.1), then add speakers for 5.1 when got budget. http://www.xtremeplace.com (local forum for AV stuff, u can get more help there.)
  14. Hmm, actually, me and my wifey went to P&R to take a look at their furnitures. Dont really like their furnitures design, but like their wallpaper they have at their showroom. Thus we made an appointment with their designer few days later. The name card stated "styling consultant". Is it the same as ID? As ours is an EC, all floorings, toilets, windows, kitchen, wardrobes for all rooms already done. MBR we have already signed up a package for it which includes the bedframe+dresser+featurewall. Roughly how much is the market rate for doing up, in total, for the following items? Living room (TV console with feature wall + LCD TV mounting) False ceiling (simple) for living room only + lighthings for all rooms (3 bedrooms + living + 2toilets + kitchen) Study room (desk, simple storage on 1 wall, do up bay window ledge) Some simple wallpapers (maybe on the living room's feature wall and 1 wall of the study room) + a full height mirror at 1 corner of the wall. Is $10k enough? Thanks for reading.
  15. Hi everyone, im starting my reno next march. Currently looking for a reliable and good ID for my EC. We paid a visit to Picket & Rail and like the Goodrich wallpaper they carry. Thus, we had a meetup with 1 of their ID, a lady by the name of Denise. Paid $188 for a floorplan layout design, sketches as well as a material board. Anyone has prior reno done by the above mentioned company and ID? Other recommendations are welcome. Merry chirstmas in advance!
