  1. wonder if they have outdoor wood like balau? Looking for wood to DIY my balcony deck.
  2. looking for a EM at hougang street 21, anyone staying there? I am browsing thru some listing and doing some research before i take the plunge, realise that some of the listings are 5A mansionette, others are listed as Exec Mansionette. Is the a difference? I am currently staying in a 5 rm flat, guess I am only eligible for HDB loan if I get a EM and not a 5A Mansionette?
  3. I am interested in bamboo floor too, for my 3 bedrooms which are currently laid with parquet. Reason of changed being the wood quality and workmanship of the parquet is very bad... some of the teak strips have holes while others chipped off, also the colouring have faded. Anyway - what is the pricing like, anyone can share? - Can it be overlay over the current parquet? Or remove the parquet better? Pros and Cons?
  4. Hi Any good ID to recommend, preferably good in carpentry as I am doing a interim "upgrade" of my place. My house is fairly renovated 4 years ago, but mainly on the essential items due to budget constraints. Now I would like to look at upgrading the following area: - Repair/Replace my parquet flooring. The workmanship and quality of the previous contractor is very poor, some holes and cracks, plus decolouring, hope can be repaired. - Feature wall/Cabinet for LCD/Plasma TV - False ceiling with down light for 3 berooms - Cabinets for 3 bedrooms - Shoe Cabinet - Sliding door for Balcony - Decking for planter at balcony - Additions to kitchen, eg Hood and some shelfs Just hope that this does not cost a bomb? I was wondering if these can be done < $15k. Cheers Ricky
  5. The remote control for my KDK ceiling fan spoil liao. Called up the service centre, cos $47 to get a replacement. Not sure if there is any cheap universal controllers for kdk fans? Those for aircons seems pretty common.
