  1. i bought the aircon from a small shop, not famous as gaincity or whatever shop that you know. insulation is class 0 with thicker copper pipes... i cant remember the specs already. well, its not the fault of the installer. nothing wrong with the installation. this is confirmed by the toshiba agent service guy. its how the air con unit works that the user needs to understand and do the necessary in order to maintain the air con system.
  2. if u got 3 units of 9000BTU each, u shld at least get 26000BTU compressor. of course u still can get your 20000BTU compressor..... if u know that you will never 'on' 3 units at the same, then its ok if u 'on' 3 units at same time, then it takes longer to cool the rooms, and the rooms may not have the coldness that you want
  3. F&P is not that ex, lah. you must know where to buy..... u got to buy from Mega Discount store, Goh Ah Bee or those stores that can source for you at cheaper prices..... i bought from Mega Discount Store at a very much lower price.... another thing is F&P head office at Ubi always published sales for their fridges every now and then at their main showroom at Ubi.... u can look ard for this offer. Its damm cheap......
  4. the salesguy is trying to smoke you...... wat defrost?? my F&P doesnt need to defrost!!! what kind of age now? 1940s? i have already use it for 1 year now.......
  5. Sh*t!! So sorry..... in fact Kallang Way is the one that i went last time, but i was checking the online yellow pages just for the sake of posting the address in this forum, it showed me the Jln Ampas one.... so sorry!!! Yes, Kallang Way 1 is the one that i went.... Please call them 1st before going down.......
  6. Yes, confirmed that F&P fridges open from left side, coz i'm using one....... check the prices from Mega Discount Store. tell them you want F&P and they will show you the diff models
  7. you can call the Toshiba service ppl (which is Carrier themselves) for advise.... they can tell you exactly what's wrong.
  8. i think this idiot Longbow is a fake. He only register for this forum and post a complain 1 time and he vanished. Let's not take his complaints seriously about this company. though i never buy anything from this shop, i can see that Longbow is a fake. if the shop's MD can come to this forum and release his hp number for longbow to make contact, i think this shop has integrity and transparency. Salute to the MD!!
  9. Hair Dryer this is the one, bought from JVD. Pls note this is the cheaper model from JVD, they have more ex and more sophiscated models. i bought this coz its cheap, simple, short, not bulky and its in white colour.
  10. got any pics or reference to this Tiger? how much is it?
  11. Yr aircon Toshiba? how come u dun call the Toshiba agent to service? the agent is Carrier company itself. read my other post on their service standard, u will know what i mean. they are so professional!!! of course they are coz they are the agent for toshiba. dun ever try all these outside aircon service company.... they are all "agar agar" one. any problem, they will run away. though agent servicing will cost more, but u have a peace of mind.
  12. Parisilk is like Goh Ah Bee or Mega Discount Store. they can sell cheaper and order the model for you.
  13. i think glossy will cost more due to the way it is done. i learn from someone that some manufacturer spray layer after layer of gloss over the surface and this takes up alot of time. so the cost is higher. so it's really up to you. my advise is to take Matt. You will be very busy wiping if u buy gloss.
  14. Get Toshiba. I'm using it. Compressor is made in Japan. Singapore's agent is Carrier themselves. So you can be rest assured of its warranty and service. in fact i experienced Carrier's servicing. they are good and professional.
  15. i think the reason why Univonna is able to gauarantee it because they are the manufacturer themselves. so they must know what they are doing when making their products. I PM you my contractor. I dun earn anything from it......
  16. for me, i got my electrician to install for me. i'm not sure if Jvd can provide installation or not. call them and ask first.
  17. i got this contact for you, but i didnt personally engage him for any aircon service. he's been recommended by other forum users. I read that he's a honest air con guy. 9746 2194 Daniel Call him and let him see yr aircon first. i'm not earning anything by doing this. Good luck.
  18. i suspected that u had a bad experience once before. I'm not sure if it will be a good thing for you to expose the sofa's company name that u bought from, so as to alert the fellow forum users here. Not to discredit the company, but to make awareness of this foam stiffness issue for forum users to take note when shopping around. in this forum, i think u are the first one to talk about foam stiffness issue. The rest of us only know how to talk abt leather, design and all that. after u questioned about foam stiffness, i must agree with you that many of us are ignorant of this problem. most warranties only cover structure, not the foam. so once the cushions starts to sink in, its as good as throwing away the sofa. as for Univonna, when i was buying the sofa, i was impressed that the warranty covers the foam stiffness because Univonna is the 1st company that i came across to cover the foam stiffness. So i thought to myself that this must be a good company to buy from. i shop for so long, covering alot of shops and all that, none of them mentioned anything abt foam stiffness to me, as far as i can remember. the 5 years warranty is long enough for me to use the sofa. i know i will probably change the sofa after 4-5 years later. so its just nice.
  19. toshiba is not the choice lah..... the best is Tefal. this particular model, i'm eyeing on is the silver metal surface and black design. please dun buy those plastic white colour rice cookers that are very common in market, coz over time, the white will turn yellow and the rice cooker will look very dirty. another thing is that the inner top metal cover cannot be removed to be washed. over time, alot of stains and residues will stay there. the Tefal one costs $95 - $99. can cook everything from slow stew to porridge. it comes with a small recipe cookbook. the top inner cover can be removed to wash. Tefal 4 in 1 rice cooker
  20. i'm not sure how does yr sofa looks like, but one good practical way to solve this is to buy those bed sheets and cover yr sofa. one advantage is that you can choose the designs and color of the bedsheets to match to your likings another benefit is you can wash anytime u want and use another bedsheet as new cover. another benefit is bedsheets are alot more comfortable to sit on. dun waste $$ making sofa covers. you ask those owners of fabric sofas on how the covers will shrink over time and it become almost impossible to put the covers back. and you can't change the covers so easily once you get sick of the design/colours. for a 2 seater sofa, you can use single size bedsheet to cover it properly. you can just slot the sheet in between the armrests and the cushion, if your sofa permits that. of course it depends how yr sofa looks like first. some sofas are very bulky. use bedsheets wont be nice. if yr sofa is those sleek designs, using bedsheets will look nice. Of course the colour/design of bedsheets plays a big part.
  21. it's really good!! really feel like those hotel type i bought the compact one, white colour. they have compact and the larger sizes. install for 8 months liao.... still working fine. you need to tell them whether u want cold air function or not. some hair dryer doesnt have cold air function. anyway, they can be trusted lah. their biz is those big volume, tender for hotel and private apartments projects. they wont be bothered to cheat us as individual users. they sell other stuff also, like those hotel safe, dustbins, shower sets..... ( as far as i can remember.....) the hair dryer that i bought, outside at hoe kee was selling for $80-90. i only paid $50 for it. so you see the profit margin hoe kee is making???
  22. i dig out my warranty card for the Uninvonna sofa. It says warranty covers for: - Timber structure/framework - Internal filling for seats and back cushions - Recliner and Moving mechanism So for the 2nd pointer, doesn't "internal fillings" means the stiffness? if you are still in doubt, you can easily make a call to Uninvonna and ask. Have you check it out yourself?
  23. i ever went to the shop before.... their stuff is quite classy and nice. i must say their stuff is nice. 1.7k is a good price for full cow leather. but make sure its REAL leather...... i didnt buy from them coz at that time, they didnt have the colour that i want for a particular sofa. Did you ever see Univonna sofa yet? if no, then u should make a trip down to see. their sofa designs are comparable to Navinzi's, with similiar pricing also.......
  24. Sorry. i got the company name wrong. The correct name is: Jvd Technologies (Asia) Pte Ltd Address: 16B Lorong Ampas Gs Building Singapore 328778 Contact : 63552511 Fax : 63520995 They were used to be at Kallang Pudding area. Now they shifted place. Call them first before going down. You see those wall mounted hair dryers in hotels? Jvd Tech is the supplier.
  25. This "Timex" guy must be a Courts salesman........
