Hi Logic, Thanks for enlightening us here. Well never been in this kind of situation before, so my first thought was to go to CASE to "frighten" Living Story. Well seems like you are really a "old bird" in this trade. Cheers to our dear LOGIC.

Hi ilmare612, The reason why i suggested showroom mattress is because first of all, when couples normally go to test the bed, they will just lay on the bed gently, and you will see that they have protective covers to protect the mattress from your shoes at the end of the bed. At the most, she will just ask you to sit on the mattress and bounce abit. Seldom will you see they ask you to jump on the bed. Furthermore, they will still offer the 10+ years warrantly that is normally offered to the new beds (correct me if I am wrong). Normally I heard is they will just place the display mattresses in the showroom for a period of 1/2 year, so its really as good as new at a premuim price. Well as for the unpleasant encounter you have at IMM Simmons, think that saleslady is not that professional so I think no point getting angry over this kind of small incident. Anyway, my wife did try that 18k bed you mentioned, and she since cannot forget the feeling of the bed, though I have no guts to try it.. haha. Hi Kevians, Sorry to hear about your bed experience of the sofa. Actually you should have rejected the sofa at the spot and ask them to bring back the sofa. In this case, they could just accuss you of not checking the item and that the scratch could be a result of you causing it after they delivered the items. In any case, think you better consult the CASE ASAP regarding this issue, cause this case doesn't favour you very much. Hope to hear good news from you soon. Cheers.

Well not too sure as in what you mean by investment, cause currently using the Panasoic 403V invertor fridge which I bought at $950, which is about the same price as other fridges. As for the consumption, not too sure, cause even my air-con is invertor, and without using the aircon much, my monthly bill still comes to about close to $100 per month.

Well rumi, most of the time we can't get the best of both worlds. If you want to enjoy rain shower, you must pay a premium for it in the sense you need more energy as rain shower itself will take up alot of water. Also for me, think it will be a waste that the piping is already there, so just decided to take up the storage heater. Think you should get the point. Cheers. -
Sound advise.... cheers...

Hi ilmare612, If you really don't mind taking all those showrooms beds, you can consider thos warehouse sales that are going during the weekends. Think these avenues will be much safer as compared to Living stories, don't you think so, logic?

Haha, indeed, just like what I experienced when I was there in April. Cheers
-
Well indeed, just like the time I went there. Too bad you cannot walk around to have a better look at the place and the products being offered there. Cheers

Haha... well said Logic. Well anyway for Red Apple, don't think you need to go down and waste your time, cause that one has far more complains than this Living Story. Anyway you can find it at IMM or Sungei Kadut. Anyway just hope that all the conversation here can be as constructive and not biased as possible so that all the fellow forumers can have a better picture. Cheers to all...

No lah.. I don't think anyone put any words in any person's mouth lah. Like I said, our main aim here is to warn any potential customers of the potential risks they might subject themselves once they make their transactions from Living Story. Think both you and SmartFool also have the same aim, why not we start to have some constructive conversation and stop this accusation all over? Anyway cheers to both of you for your great effort in voicing your concerns to our dear fellow forumers.

Oh... I don;t know know that Mesin has wound up. Well think your case more jialat than most of us. Anyway great to hear of your great experience with Zen Tradition, but must say their items are really level above alot of similar Zen shops. Cheers.
-
Well Smartfool, think like what you said, no pt accussing other people of things when you and me just comes in and give our piece of advise. Think the other forumers understand where we are coming from. Hi ssing, Care to share some light as to your bad experience so that other forumers can take note? Think most of us don;t wish to go through the same **** as we had. Cheers.

Hi, Actually like my previous thead, I have mentioned that you need to constantly check up with the company, cause they can suddenly say the goods are ready for delivery and they will force a date to you (whether you like it or not). Well just treat it as a lesson well learned. Remember to keep us posted on your furniture status. Cheers
-
Anyway, glad to have someone who has a open mind as you do. Anyway enjoy your day. Cheers.

Hi Logic, I think you get my point in that we should be talking logic/sense in the first place, as this is still in fact a public place, where all sort of people come in and out. And indeed there might be some people who are indeed competitors or even Living Story's own people who might come and in "add fuel to fire". And indeed we also have seen some isolated cases where people who might be conned into buying something that was not what the product was. And indeed we might have(actually is quite abit of forumers) who might be unreasonable to the furniture shops with all the sorts of requests that these people might posted to the staff. But coming back and we take a closer look at the general type of complains that were being posted here. For me and some others, a delivery date was just stuff into our throat, and the attitude was "take it or leave it". Can you please advise that is this acceptable by your standard? And also, installation of the items is also far from being acceptable. Can you imagine that your items falling apart after just a few days?? As for the other complains that other forumers posted like rudeness of the salesguy after the sale of the items, this I would not comment cause I would not even bother calling them up, not because I don;t have a case, more so as to prevent the inexperienced installing person touching my product and "damaging" it any further in the process. As as I stressed again, if any of the aboved mentioned incident still does convinced you that this shop is undesirable (I would not use the word bad as I do not wise to engague in any legel dispute with the company), I think nothing will. And I would strongly advise all forumers here to refrain from using any strong words, cause from the other forum, A** B**T seems to send their representive into the forumer and starts taking legel actions to all the people who "framed" the company. I hope I have voiced out all the concerns of all the forumers, and especially all those who have had bad experiences with Living Story. Cheers

Actually not suprising, cause with the number of new flats now available and with the number of applicants fighting for the new flats, its really a seller's world and not the other way round. Well think they also trying to recover from some of the losses which they made during the 2000-2004 where the flats are really cheap then. -
Hi All, Just saw a very nice display set L-shaped fabric sofa from OM at IMM selling for only $699. Well think its not a bad buy. For anyone who is also looking for the exact sofa i bought (refer to previous thread), its also there, but not sure of the price. Cheers.

Indeed, but like any myths, if too many people are talking about it, then it might fast becoming a fact....

Welcome to our area. Hope you will enjoy...

Well seems that Rabbit have just vanished from renotalk liao, still waiting for him to answer alot of things.

Hi Renologic, In fact I do not share the same thinking as you. Like what you said, there might be someone trying to deframe this company, this might be true when one person tries doing that. But when alot of forumers agrees, I think it will be more than just a case of deframation. Like alot of companies which was being commented in this forum, think this is the first case where a company gathers so many bad remarks and in such a short period. Well anyway, like I said previosuly, I am indeed waiting for Rabbit to show us some items to convince us. Cheers
