Assuming the opening on the granite top is too wide that the hob move to left or right, then maybe add stripes of granite, ceramic tiles or rubber pads stick onto the granite's opening.

PVC folding door or 3 panels sliding door if the entrance width of about 600mm is ok for u to get through.

Did u miss out the gasket? This black coloured rubber linning wraps round the base of rim of the hob to function as a suction onto the table top.

Is It Normal To Be Charged For Dismantle Cost Of Unwanted Wardrobe?
gladyslim replied to ikitty's topic in Carpentry Works
Resident can dispose unwanted items at the bin collection centre but contactor cannot. Arrangement of haulage per lorry is $350/-, thus dismantling the 3 nos of BIW is only $50/- each, the cost of paying labour only. Disposing of junk at any incinerator needs prior application, furnishing particulars and somtimes charges impose for exceeding the limited weights of disposal and a needs of time to be in the quene. Contractor is also not allowed to bring back any junk from outside jobs back to their factory if it is under HDB even though the tenant had to pay a set up amount of almost $400/- per month for centralised disposal. l -
so far, I don't see any coloured pvc and polygen in customised furniture. I used white colour high pressure laminates on the shelving of my kitchen cabinet; only the top side surface so that it is more durable. It can withstand the rubs from crockery, canned food etc. Another thing is I can use dish detergent or turpentine to clean the surface as the oil stains from the smoke of cooking deposited over times. Use the cheaper range of lamination like white or black for about $12/- per pce of 1200mm x 2440mm. The plain colour; grey or blue etc is about $20/-. I also paid for thicker ply of plywood to be use as the base of all my drawers so that I can put more heavier things. For canned food and cups kept in the drawers, I also use high pressure lamination.

It's a squarish steel plate with 2 corners of one end folded to 'v' or 'u' shape to hold round tubing as hanging rod. Have to get it at hardware shop supporting the carpentry industries or hardware shop selling bettter quality's products. call kim men; 64813350 (at Blk 3 or 5 AMK ind pk 2A), opposite Blk 20 AMK Techlink, near to seagate and sheng siong of hougang.

Buy the holder that have 2 corners bend to 'u' shape. Those sold in diy shops or supermarkest are normally for hanging towels.

The grains is saw-dust particles, compressed and lamianted. Once if there is any scratch off of the laminate, it will eventually give way even though u did not wet it becos it absorbs moisture to expand. Wait to see others have any suggestion for u. In the meantime, tape the expose part and maybe add those nylon stud to the bottom of the cabinet so it won't tear further each time u move it.

I think yours is plywood. Should be very lasting unless the laminate pop up. Just use contact cement glue to stick it together. Ensure both plywood and laminates surfaces are free from dirt. Pm me if u need to do that in future.

Hi Nipponho I think your pedestal - 3 tiers drawers of those knock down type is MDF bd. Once, if there is slight peeling, this compressed saw-dust board starts to expand becos of absorption of moistures. My open shelves cabinet bought from whive is also having this problem. As its only on the top panel, my solution is to replace it or dig off the 'ping pong' part. Post the picture of your bedroom's door. If it is plywood with normal expansion, u just need to nail it and seal the gap with putty and then re-paint it.

What is the thickness of the plywood? Maybe its BBCC ply - 木心板 or the 'zha ban' 扎板method for door, i.e 3mm spvc ply for interior, 3mm thk plywood with high pressure laminate or 3mm thk polyester as external finishing with timber frame inside - 红木框。 Ready made furniture commonly seen in those HDB shoplet is using the 'zha ban' method to save cost. It is normally hollow and shakely.

Just drill 2 holes on the end panel which is to be mounted to the wall.i.e the top panel is removable. U finally bought that 4" angle grinder but to me it not much use in residential. Use it to remove tile or on metal works- with cup brush, sanding flap wheels etc, Careful when using this. It's a high speed tool about 14,700rmp. Must grab tightly when in use, use goggles, ear plug and watch the sparks when ginding, it can burns the paper causing fire.

Most interior of customised plywood furniture uses white pvc or white polygon, White PVC plywood comes with single or double sides ranging from 3mm ply to 25mm thk white polygon is normally 3mm thk; additional works for carpenter to glue it to normal ply to get the desire thickness. White polygon has a layer of plastic lamination, hence it cannot be spray painted on it. the ply do turns yellowish after some yrs. The good pt that is better than white pvc is not it won't peel off easily and can withstand minor moisture. plwood comes in different grade, different country and different types; like marine ply, fire-rated ply and the normal plywood; solid or BBCC ply. knock-down furniture in normally coloured pvc laminated chipboard like the shelving ply which is lighter than MDF bd which is heavier and use as in coffee table in painting finishing. The external finishing of customised plywood furniture as in wardrobe in normally high pressure lamination with choices of solid colours to various printing, texture - gloss, matt or with timber like grains. There is another type of lamination that look like high pressure lamination is polyster where u get to see at most furniture shop. Like the white polygon, it turns yellowish after some yrs.

It's not long & tall item, u can use whatever u like so long it is strong enough; - 3mm thk plywood on timber frame but most convenient is just thicker plywood like 12mm. Cut out 2 pcs 3' x 3' and use the remaining to strengthen it. I think I should construct one too but I need to get a jig saw first. Are u mounting one end to the wall to 'hold' the force? About plywood, my clients and the next door neighbour in plastercraft trade told me about the recycled and worms attacked plywood which I had not notice even I had been working in the carpentry and metalcraft industry for many yrs.

I tried twice but no idea why each time I submit reply, I am marked as log out. make it short: plywoods & laminates come in 1220mm x 2440mm, so your unit need to be in 2 and join together. 18mm thk spvc ply for the both end panel, the top and bottom pcs. all others in DPVC. The sliding door is also spvc but the doors may warp if u use solid ply as whole pce door, i.e to say u have to 'zha ban' If u are using BBCC ply, u better don't buy imports from china, the stripes of wood is very fine and it normally have worms attack but it is cheap. There is price differences in carpentry using plywood of solid type or BBCC and between sabah and china plywood and the 'zha ban' method; i.e 2 pcs 3mm ply to sandwhich 20mm or more thicker plank. There is also some co using recycle ply to give u a better price.

Use double grooves alumn tracks for the sliding door. Too long to describe the whole process; I do finish typing & submit reply earlier but the page is gone. U need to have the require tools and skill to apply the self-adhesive glue onto the laminates and plywoods and aim accurately to stick them together.
