  1. Ya mine was also during the down payment and signing of lease. But when i told them i couldn't decide and asked if i could sign up at a later stage they said can but not too late , so i got their contact number and just need to call in to confirm if i decide too...actually after some thought i think i might opt for it after all also regarding the full figured ac unit, seems like most Daikin ac units have that physique heh, its just their aesthetic i guess. also i was told the trunking will run through the front entrance of the unit due to their chiller locations. With regards to the structural walls i think it is allowed to drill and mount things, only cannot hack away those walls. Still looking forward to your pics! G
  2. Hi, like you i did consider signing up even before i went to the booth for all the reasons you listed but when i got there i was a bit put off by the "oh but please think of the environment...sustainability spiel" when i said i am not to sure of the trunking running through the length of the front entrance and the location of the ac unit. Also the window ledge becomes redundant imo (you can put plants if your flat is located well enough though) but i think my superficial reasons outweigh any possible benefits atm hehe. Although i am still on the fence and undecided about what to do... i'll look forward to seeing your pics and maybe it will make me rethink, although i don't know when is the latest i can sign up since they are all prefab. Cheers
  3. Hi guys, Quick question with regards to Tengah and SP centralised cooling initiative, I just signed my lease for a flat in Tengah Court last week and was quickly ushered to the SP booth for a "sales and sustainability" pitch😁. To be frank I am not too sure about this, I have few reservations about their proposed(almost fixed) location for the ac unit plus the long pipe run and big trunking that comes thru from the front entrance of the flat plus that daikin aircon looks chonky as f! Anyone here signed up? if so can maybe tell me what convinced you? Cheers, Guna
  4. stoopid dust! the bane of my existence! thanks mmoh and Norman for the info. Cheers! G
  5. hehe I get it, i am averse to spending money also. i am big on open shelving too...and think i might have a possible solution to minimize dust settle, meshed metal shelving..so the dust can fall through? Maybe? It is a big shame that we cant hack or reconfigure the toilet...this option can open up so much more design opportunities. i like asymmetrical walls...and thought that would make it look less boxed up and generic. Another question, how many times did you apply before you managed a successful one? And regarding inspection of the flat, must you do it immediately or there is no time frame?
  6. Hi Norman, nice place first of all and massive respects to your "F***itilldoitmyself" attitude! Although i initially thought you had too many things in your living space...i failed to consider that 35sqm is actually quite small and probably why it may have seemed busy to my eyes. i plan to start applying for a 2rm in November...so im just trawling the internet for ideas and possibly find some answers to the million questions i have. So if i could pick your brain.... 1. Did you choose type 1...or were the type 2s fully booked? 2. I understand the bath/toilet comes with tiling but you mentioned overlaying kitchen tiles? can we opt out of wall tiles for kitchen? 3.again regarding the toilet...from the floor plans the walls look like they are non-structural so does that mean it is possible to hack the walls away to reconfigure the toilet after 3 years(maciam my attached pic)? Cheers, Guna edit: hahaha i did not know swearing will be censored...?‍⚖️
