  1. hi ahwee & richman.. yes i'm sharing the seller's agent. It's true that the sellers have financial difficulties. they showed me a letter from MP approving them to sell their flat before 5 years. Very nice sellers actually.. A very young malay couple with 3 young children. Only husband working and not getting high pay. Heard that they owe HDB few months installment and want to sell fast if not interest accumulated will be very high. Not very sure how it works but i did look around the place and outside. No signs of loansharks. and they rent 2 rooms to Uni students so i don't think there will be a prob since if the house gt prob who want to rent and stay there rite.. Oh plus it's just less than 5 mins to the MRT. Not renovated but i intend to renovate nicely anyways so it's ok to me =')
  2. Ya i paid 1K + 2K for deposit. So i do not need to pay HDB any cash? Hopefully i will receive my letter soon.. Thanks for the help!! I think should be all done then pay the agent ba i didn't negotiate cos the agent is very kind to charge the seller 1% commission as they are a poor family. Plus there were others interested in the flat also.. Hee didn't want to lose my chances of getting the flat..
  3. Hi ppl.. after many months of applying for a new flat my husband & i went to search for a resale flat. I paid S$1000 OTP for the 2nd one we viewed as we really like it & think the asking price is a steal. It's a 4A unit at Bukit Batok Central. Though on the 2nd floor, location is very good and owner is asking 30k below valuation (valuation 360k asking 330k) i HAD to buy it. But i'm really confused abt how much cash we have to come up with. Can any kind souls here help? If lets say, the seller's asking for 2k deposit when i exercise the OTP, and agent fees is 1%, totalling up all legal fees and stamp fees etc, how much cash do i have to pay if i'm taking loan from HDB? One more thing, my HLE status says: 'has been processed, you will be receiving the letter by mail.' Does it mean my HLE is approved or just being processed? Thanks!!!
  4. What a smart way to add more storage space!! Wonder what the top will look like when it's done..
  5. The one in Oct is a Half Yearly Balloting. i just called HDB. The officer said that we can ballot as many times as we like as long as we have not booked a flat. HTHs.. Luckily it's not like what TYM said.. Phew..
  6. Hi, Will there still be an Oct balloting? If I submit my application for September Balloting, would I be able to submit another application for October Balloting if there is? No you can't Hi can anyone else confirm the above? I heard that as long as you have not chosen a flat, you can ballot as many times as you want??? Pls help!!! This is making me worry i really need a flat n i've applied for one under the Sept Balloting Exercise thinking that i can try again in the Oct Half Yearly Sale..
  7. Oh no.. means i can only choose the 40 over flats that is available already. Sad.. Any idea if the Half yearly sale of 4 room n bigger flats will still be on next mth? Thanks in advance!!!
  8. Hi i need help.. can someone tell me what's Delivery Possession Date? It's stated that some of the flats at Jurong West's Delivery Possession Date is 28 Feb 2012. Does it mean that even if i'm successful in this Sept balloting exercise i have to wait till Feb 2012 to get my flat? Pls help.. I'm such a noob
  9. Thanks so much for ur detailed advice keltong.. sorry long time nv check this thread.. since everyone (mostly) is discouraging me from getting a resale now, guess i'll wait for the Oct balloting.. must pray hard hard n save more more more $$$ hee since like dun have choice now n after hearing so many advices, guess i'll wait until the Oct balloting results is out den decide.. hopefullly can get a gd queue number n solve all my problems.. oh ya anyone knows when's the next Balloting Exercise after the coming Oct one? wa lucky u
  10. Next stop, we ended up at tradehub... been eyeing this sofa for a while and finally decided to drop by Leads furniture and get it.. reach there at 830pm and think they almost done for the day lolz. Was trying to differentiate between PU and leather cos the sales person say its half leather (the black part). 3m long, with detachable daybed and ottoman. Anyway, heck la.. my wife love at first sight (think a month ago haha) so got it lo.. slightly exceed our budget but oh well.. View - without ottoman (not displayed) Another view. wow i LOVE ur sofa.. how much did u paid for it?
  11. thanks Cherry i guess i've to wait for the next Balloting exercise in Oct le.. must pray even harder haha..
  12. thanks for looking it up. in fact i've read it over n over again but it doesn't tell me whether young couples like us who HAVE NOT been working for 2 yrs are eligible. someone once told me that if we've only worked for 1 yr we can just add up the total income over the yr n divide it by 24 mths. that's y i want to know if we're eligible.
  13. haha its ok.. until now i also very confused abt this.. but it'll really be of help if we're eligible for it cos it can be used to pay for the 5% deposit thru cpf.
  14. no.. AHG is additional Housing Grant on top of the 30K housing grant for 1st timers. NOT loan.
  15. ic.. thats y i tink i shud start looking for resale flat le.. so sad i started a thread to ask abt the AHG but no replies i need to know whether we're eligible for it anot cos cpf v little money only n if not enuf to pay for the deposit we have to top up quite alot of cash which we do not have. i want to know if we are eligible for the grant if we did not work for 2 yrs continuously. my husband only worked for 9 mths after NS while i worked for abt 1 yr plus but not continuously. any idea if we r eligible? i called hdb the officer dun even know wat i was talking abt.. after long time say transfer me to someone else who did not pick up. hai i really dunno who else to ask man. need to work so cant go down n ask them in person.
  16. ya i quite agree also.. can't believe that 90% allocated to 1st timers also can't get.. wat the??!! gt so many newly weds meh? haiz.. makes me really wanna buy resale now.. anyone v against the idea of buying resale now? my fren keeps telling to not to buy resale now cos i gt no hse to sell n prices so high shud wait.. but i dunno how long more i can wait man.. wat do u guys tink? the price will become lower in the near future ma?
  17. wa sound really chim.. haha.. but i "aga aga" know wat u mean la.. i'm really starting to wonder if they give priority to those who really need the flats.. like me.. hubby n i n baby.. u know babies grow so fast.. n i only have one room for all our things.. its like a storeroom not bedroom.. n my "hard to be with" father-in-law really drives me up the wall sometimes.. it's so sad when u dun have ur own flat n place u call home or worse still dun have a choice due to lack of $$$. ARRGH!!!
  18. erm.. if u read my previous posts u'll know that i didn't manage or dun tink i'll be able to get one through this recent balloting for sector A. left only 20 plus units n my appt is next thurs. by this week shud be all sold out le n i dun wish to wait for the next one which is going to be in OCT (still gt SO long) n i tink the chances of getting is slim.. SO many ppl balloting u know..
  19. thank u v much.. i'll start looking once the flats r sold out thanks for the info but i can only buy flats near to my in-laws cos they looking after my baby.. would be very tiring n inconvenient if stay too far away.. btw they staying in jurong east, near chinese garden mrt.. so i can only look around jurong east n west, bukit batok etc.
  20. huuh really ah? so sad.. hai no hope no hope!!!
  21. sorry i know i sound v noob.. but how to go abt looking for flats? newspapers or? any other source except agents? thanks!!
  22. u r much better den me le.. my appt on the 19th.. queue no. more kns.. i wan 2nd floor also dun have le.. hai.. u also 1st timer? i wonder y first timers will get this kind of stupid no. furthermore i've baby le.. n wan to stay near parents.. anyone knows anything abt the married child priority scheme? whats that? can't seem to find it in the hdb infoweb.. hw come when i ballot cannot choose to be under what scheme? pls advice k.. thanks!!!
  23. hai i also tink so.. now left 30 plus units tink the most by fri will be sold out already.. y torture me man.. i waited for so long n it's only like 1 week left before my turn.. arrgh.. how? can someone tell me whether it's ok to buy resale now? i really dun have tt much money to pay COV.. is it possible to find any reasonable priced n not too inconvenient flats that has zero or v low COV? can someone advise pls? cos i dun tink i can afford to pay the agent's fees.. hai i know i sound v broke but wat to do.. me n hubby still v young but i really can't stand with my father-in-law.. help!!! thanks for the consolation.. but like wat Yang Guo said.. really no hope already
  24. really? but i no money pay agent leh.. interested in jurong west or east flats cos mum-in-law looking after my baby.. can't choose other areas if not really v inconvenient ='(
