  1. i think their fridge can be opened almost fully, if they are using this layout.
  2. Hi... Your layout is very nice. Read the part on the bad ID you countered. I'd also come across a few IDs that don't bother to read the detail non floor plans that I'd sent them. And can call me to tell them what I want. After meeting up with them, and go thru' the requirement etc, either come back with a quotation with things that I don't need or leave out things that I need, or didn't get back to me at all. So really wasted a lot of time in searching for a good one. I think you can save quite some $$ by looking for individual contractors to do up the individual items that you need. Nice planning of kitchen. What software u used? All the best in your search in a good and reliable contractor. Hope to see more pictures soon.
  3. Will go check things out tonite and take some photos.

  5. Hi... Can someone explain the function/ use of the hammer drill? If I wanna to use the drill to drill wall, what sort of drill must I get? What's the minimum requirement? Thanks.
  6. The scaffolds were erected by the contractor doing my plastering & painting job. Not sure if they will just provide scaffolding erection services. Do let me know if u need this plastering / painting contractor's no.
  7. Hee... same photo? wow. That's really a lot of hacking you'd done there. Really can't wait to see more work being done rite?
  8. So have you finalised all your designs, colour selection etc with Colin? Colin is the ID / project mgr; is there another designer serving you?
  9. Colours propsed by my ID, but we change it slightly. Our painter (another contractor) didn't complain using different brands of paint, just complain why so many colours?! Hee... We are having 9 colours in total, including white. Dun think this is the biggest lah... I think someone in the forum has an EM that has bigger floor area than mine... hee. Area big = more cleaning to do... that's my greatest headache. Ceiling high high coz flat in Potong Pasir is quite unique...
  10. Nippon 1105 Sassy. Will have lollipop in my cosy area... but not yet completed.

Just the painting (1st coat) for the rooms: (Colors be not be too accurate due to lighting and camera's setting) MBR Study Room Bed Room
  12. I think caused by dusts... it's very visible when flash is used... mwerkz, Those tiles pics u showing are taken from the shop itself is it?
  13. Good for you. So, got to start your T-Blog and start showing some photos liao.
  14. Not as fast and smooth as I want. Plastering job is rather slow with only 1 or 2 workers working daily. The boss told me they have to apply 3 layers of plaster instead of 2 coz my walls are too uneven. Before they start work, they told me can finish plastering and painting by Sunday (12 Oct 08). Now tell me that can only start painting tomorrow and hopefully can finish 1st coat for the upper level by 13 Oct 08. And there are also some issues between my ID and this plastering contractor... Any, shall skip that. Here are some more photos: Meters shifted. Doesn't look that good, but can't really do much. Electrical and water meters cannot go side by side. Maybe next time, when the new technology comes out, don't even need meters. Still thinking should I box up the pipes. No budget. Plastering (lower floor) - 1st layer only. Yet to dry. Plastering (MBR) Plastering (Study Rm) Plastering (Bedroom) - Scaffolding needed to reach the tall places...
  15. How much does it costs? Where u got urs?
  16. Completed activities: 1) New wall (with door frame) erected 2) New main door installed (error rectified) 3) Existing wardrobe dismantled 4) Colour and design confirmation (90%) 5) Electrical scope of work (85%) 6) Existing walls & Door frame hacked 7) Existing air-con removed 8) Existing electrical meter shifted 9) Touch up floor and walls in way of of old wall 10) Existing water meter shifted On-going works: 1) Carpentry work (in factory) 2) Plastering work (3rd layer for some areas) Upcoming activities: 1) Waiting for contractor to confirm new wrought iron gate sales 2) Start painting 3) Installation of air-con 4) Removal of existing railing @recess area 5) Delivery of lights Your reno is coming out quite well too. And counting down by the hrs to have all your furnitures delivered rite?
  17. I'd checked with them before. They don't have the design we wanted. Anyway, thanks for all your concerns. Managed to find out which company did that and we'd contacted the company. Price wise, I think it's around the market price. Btw, do you all install normal lock for your gate or stainless steel one?
  18. Anyway, once you get your key, you will have to start paying the loan and interest rite? If so, you shld charge them and get them pay for this month loan, plus interest, plus waiting time etc.
  19. Warranty wise... mine is 1yr for parts and fan coil units; 5yrs for the compressor. Good that you have applied for the reno permit before u even get the key. If you only start applying the first time after collection of keys, your reno will start even later. All the best to you!
  20. Nothing happens when I plug in that camera to my mac. Seems "invisible" to mac totally. I know what you mean now... Anyway, my immediate neighbour filled the corridor with plants and some of their stuff... Looks rather messy... so I guess they aren't that fussy bah... Where to find them? Actually haven't really decide what we want. Probably some roller binds coz thinking easiest to maintain, am I rite? Curtains probably only at the living room / balcony area. And yes, we will be installing grilles and windows at the recess area. And porkypig is right, it's gg to burn another hole in the pocket but little choice. HDB still not get back to ID whether they can get the railing or not. 3wks liao, still no response. ID called the Technical Officer and the TO also says dun no.
  21. congrats for getting keys liao... yup, hope to see ya pictures soon too. Hee... I am getting the StarMex non Inverter Syste 3 also. Is your model the MUX3BD23VB + MS-B10VB x 3? Yours come with how many years warranty?
  22. Oh. What do you mean by smacking them to a corner? Haven't really meet my neighbours yet... only talk to them once.
