JustinDavidson 0 Report post Posted September 29 I'm traveling to Dubai for a week. Is it better to rent a car or just rely on taxis?
NateFolzer 0 Report post Posted September 29 It depends on your plans. If you're staying mostly within the city center, taxis and ride-hailing apps can work fine. But if you're planning to explore more—like going to Abu Dhabi, visiting desert spots, or just want more flexibility—renting a car is definitely more convenient. In that case, I recommend using a local car rental company. They usually offer better rates, more personalized service, and flexible rental options compared to international chains. One reliable option is Rentico — they have a wide selection of cars and great customer support.
GianCann 0 Report post Posted Monday at 01:44 PM It’s better to rent. I would only rely on a taxi to get from the airport. In Dubai, in my opinion, taxis are pretty expensive, and anyway it won’t give you full freedom to move around wherever and however you want.
GarryGrey 0 Report post Posted Monday at 02:50 PM I’m also for renting a car. And besides, in Dubai there are a bunch of different services with different fleets and in different price ranges. I actually had a great reason. I rented a car for my birthday, just like in this article https://tickikids.com/ae-du/blog/231-birthday-gift-in-dubai-rent-a-supercar/. I gave myself this gift and rented a Bentley. For me it’s a very expensive car, and the chance to just drive it like that was a big impression.
