mighty6 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 Anyone didn't replace all the aircon units to avoid the renovation and only replace the compressor ? Can share your experience ? Thanks ! All depends on the condition of the fan units... Not recommended though and Agents may not fully warrant the compressor since the Fan units are not installed as a complete system. If the fan-units are older than 5 years... surely not worth maintaining it... Better have a completely new installation for "worry-free" enjoyment.

MLR 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 How abt just changing the compressor & FC ? dun want to re-layout the truncking.. how much will it cost ? Tis is not a gd way to save $$ cos if your air con is old enuf to b replaced, then the insulation and gas pipes and drainage pipes would nid to b replaced too. Unless u r replacing a relatively new ac system(< 2yrs), and u didn't experience any kind of leaking/condensation problems all tis time.

lyuira 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2008 I heard that compressor is the costliest part of aircon system, so if you're changing it, you might as well replace everything, including fancoil units and piping. Just wondering though, how much would replacing a compressor cost?
