Renovation: Which Are The Things That Needed To Reno?

Hi all,

I have a query which I hope that all can advise on. I would like to check on the essential things that need to be done for reno. Could any1 provide a list so that I can reference? This is becos my BTO flat is coming soon and I hope to gain some insight on the "needs" and "wants" for reno.

I'm a newbie here myself ah... but.. I think everyone's needs and wants are different. Some people dun cook so have a very simple kitchen with few cabinets and drawers but they do up the bedrooms very very nicely. Other people entertain all the time and spend plenty on the living/dining area.

For me, do floor,plastering of wall, ceiling (if leak/spall), electrical and kitchen cabinet. Because after move in, want to do these very troublesome. Other than that... all the carpentry, lighting, even toilets are ok.

By following thru how others do their reno, you will have an idea how to go about doing yours.
