Bamboo Chick Roller String Replacement

Hi,

The roller string of my bamboo chick is damaged. I'm not sure how to describe it, but here goes:

There are 2 parrellel strings that you pull to roll up the bamboo chick (it works like for venetian blinds).

Right now one of the strings is stripped off of its outer fabric cover, exposing tiny strings inside.

The fabric cover provides the thickness that helps the locking mechanism to hold the string in place when i roll the bamboo chick up.

so right now when i roll up my bamboo chick it is slanted as the damaged part of the string is not able to lock and hold at the position.

I am thinking of replacing the string myself. Does anyone know where to buy the string?

I went Spot Light at PS, but couldn't find anything suitable.
